Hi, Deli. With African American hair (because it's so curly and coily), it's prone to breakage due to friction with cotton pillow cases. So, if you can't do satin pillow cases, try to find a silk or satin scarf or hair bonnet and tie up your hair at night. It will definitely help! 😊
I've been thinking of doing getting a bonnet for my hair. I'm white with really curly hair that I don't take care of the way it should but wanting to change that by getting a bonnet so was happy to see your comment because it reminded me as I am getting ready to go shopping anyway, lol.
I love my new bonnet. I have fine hair but a lot of it. I don't care for the pillowcase and it wouldn't really help me. My hair is so long that it wraps around my neck. The first night it did it I decided I needed a bonnet 🤣
I’m so sorry about your loss ❤ You apologized a few times for the state of your home(laundry/messy/dog hair) I just wanted to chime in to say how refreshing it is to watch a vlog where someone’s home looks like mine!!! Homes are often messy/cluttered/ aren’t always picture perfect. That’s one of the million things that make you relatable 😊
Thanks! Yeah I know its realistic, but people are so used to seeing homes like a set in vlogs. just dont have time to clean before vlogging with other vids too XD
I have also noticed how my body doesn't know the difference between excited and anxious. It really has kept me from doing much b/c it's so much easier for my body to maintain a state of non-anxiety if I just stay home and in my comfort zone, lol!! -- I LOVE that James is aware of your anxiety triggers and helps do what he can to help you feel calm and safe. My hubby is the same way and it literally brings me to tears sometimes when I think about how lucky I am to have him. 🥰
Thats lovely to hear :) Yeah I love my comforts too, but i guess its also important to sometimes get out and enjoy new things even if its a bit more uncomfortable. Its amazing how many ppl are in the same boat!
Don't worry, Deli. I lost my grandmother at the start of January (very close to yours) and I've only just gotten back into the swing of things. I also work in a creative field (I'm a novelist) and fortunately my employers gave me a lot of grace and the time I needed to... get my spark back? Anywho, it was definitely a wake up call - you can't give your best to others while you're running on empty, physically, emotionally, or spiritually. Eventually, you'll start feeling like yourself again, but don't rush yourself to get there💖
I absolutely love how true and raw you are in your videos. I relate to you so much. It's so refreshing to watch a RUclipsr who is themselves and who is honest
Might not have got the change you went for but the refresh still made it look different. Looks good! I love how the hair dresser told you what was best for your hair rather then just taking the money and possibly causing a lot of damage to your hair.
While washing your hair once a week might be 'optimal', it's just not realistic for us girls who sweat while working out. At that point it's not even about the oils. Your hair looks gorgeous, Deli!
@@Delidiary dry shampoo actually is not very good for your hair because it can clog the pores on your scalp. So it is best to wash out your dry shampoo the same day or the next day at the latest! :)
@@Delidiary honestly I have the same issue - I workout 5/6 days a week and wash my hair everyday. I’ve noticed it’s getting dry and frizzy, so I’m trying this thing where I rinse my hair in the shower instead and just apply conditioner 👀
This video felt so... raw, somehow. If that makes sense. I've been feeling down a lot these last couple of months, too, so what you were saying was very relateable.
I often struggle with pms as well! The exhaustion is almost indescribable. I always can't wait for my period to actually start so I can feel better for a little bit. Thank you for the reminder that it's okay to take it easy!
just wanted to say, any of your vids always make my day. your energy is so comforting which helps my anxiety so much! thank you for making me smile deli!
I love watching this channel and how honest you are about everything. Like I never understood why when I was excited I would get nauseous, but its my anxiety playing tricks on my brain. 🙃 Thank you for letting me know I am not alone. 😊
Your face/skin will appreciate the silk pillowcase as much as the hair 😉 Love the video, so relatable. We all deal with grief in our own way, and there is no speedrunning through this, selfcare is super important 😘
hi deli, i have been watching you for a very long time, and i am enjoying seeing a more personal side to you, one that i see a lot whenever you stream. i think what i enjoy the most about watching you is that you are realistic and aren't afraid to be yourself. when i heard about your grandma, i felt sad, because i know that feeling very much. i lost my grandma a little over a year ago and still have not recovered from it. i am the type of person that doesn't deal well with loss and never quite "get over it". however, whenever i watch you, or other favorite streamers / youtubers, it helps distract me and get through another day, lol. this is a long message as i tend to ramble sometimes, but i just want you to know that i am sorry for your loss and believe 100% that you have the right mindset - take time for yourself whenever you need it, even if it feels like it is hard. do things that you like, or don't do anything at all. sometimes laying, having a nap, or just zoning out while watching a favorite tv show can help a lot more than forcing yourself to be productive. your happiness comes first over everything else, and if you have the opportunity to take a rest, remember to do so. :)
Thanks for the lovely comment ❤️ I’m not sure if anyone just “gets over” loss, but I think a lot of people prefer to manage it by trying to ignore the grief. For me it’s very physical and you’re right, being productive isn’t always the best thing for us! I’m glad you’re enjoying the personal side, I hope to stream really soon.
I think oversized clothes really elevate the look, but you can get your set tailored specifically to you! Tailoring usually doesn’t cost too much and it’s a nice thing to do for an investment piece like the one you have. ❤
Your videos are always fun, candid, and inspirational. You speak very honestly about difficult topics, while allowing viewers to know it’s OK to speak openly about these things, not shameful (if that makes sense). If you have to take long periods between filming to look out for yourself and your family, do it. It makes these videos that much more special.
That is a very good hair dresser to not let you damage your hair further. Your hair looks lovely! I also have been having a rough go this year I lost my dad last year and Im still struggling mentally. Hang in there, you will get back to your routine when you are ready.
the moment you said "give yourself the rest you're needing" - The way my body breathed, instantly calmed. Like I got permission that I needed to. I've been trying to give myself that. Like I'll relax awhile, but the Moment my anxietys gone I'm not allowed to? It's like a toxic cycle of I have to be stressed. am really working on it! Anyway thank you Deli
My heartfelt condolences on the loss of your grandmom. I hope you feel surrounded by much love, Deli. I remember you talking about someone you knew from school who dyed her hair, and it didn't turn back to normal. Bowser's just so cute and fluffy ‼️
I totally relate to the anxiety/excitement part. my anxiety disorder is through the roof when I'm excited even tho I know it will be a lovely experience 😄
am so sorry to hear about your grandmother. the outfit is amazing on you Deli and I need one now, I have anxiety as well it's nice to see someone as you talk about it. I help you feel much better soon!🌹❤❤
When I saw the new background a recent video I thought it was super cute. Thank you for talking about the tiredness and difficult times. I can't tell the difference between anxiety and excitement, it's not an easy thing to explain and you managed to do it really well. My nails were always weak and peeling. I thought I needed to add strengthening stuff, but actually they were lacking in flexibility. I use OPI's nail oil and O'Keefs Hand Cream twice a week, and my nails are so much better. (Any oil and hand cream combo would probably work, but you might need to do it more often). Your solution is also fab, so defo just carry on if it's good for you.
Ohhh it's so relatable, your body not knowing the difference between anxiety and excitement. It sucks not being able to enjoy the pure sensation of being happy and excited!
I've been taking biotin vitamins and spraying my scalp down a rosemary water(just steeping rosemary in water, like tea) to help hair growth/strength. Rosemary oil is too thick for our hair type, but I've noticed improvement w the water and its a nice little refresher alternative to dry shampoo. I've also switched to the microfiber hair towels and wearing a silk bonnet(also not a fan of the pillow cases). Happy hair growth!
Washing your hair less often will definitelly help. It may be a rocky road to get there, but your hair will get used to it and adjust. I have curly hair, waist-length (when wet) and washing once a week helped my hair to calm down the oiling a lot.
I have a similar linen set for summer it’s the best! Thanks for reminding us to listen to what our bodies and minds need, it’s so easy to push yourself to the brink if you’re not mindful of it ☹️🥰💕 hope you feel much better soon!
Lost my dad in June and my gran in December, like you. Grief is the weirdest thing. I'm also struggling with the tiredness - I want to do all these things, and my body is holding me back a little. But I'm trying to listen and not feel guilty, and now I'm getting things done little by little. I think you're doing great - and I feel like working on decorating your office and taking care of your hair and things is a step on the bridge between mind and body. Also that shirt would look great with the jeans, very pretty!
I didnt think about the shirt with jeans, nice idea maybe tucked into a belt.. or could risk looking like a pirate? XD Those are major changes happening in your life, I can't imagine! Making small progress is perfect, you'll be back to doing more bit by bit. Lots of love xx
@@Delidiary A (half) front tuck into the jeans, open a few buttons and a white cami under it...slouchy chic! I'm also noticing I like dressing up more - I think it's a sign that I want to feel better, and looking good will make me feel better, a bit like fake it til you make it? We'll get there!
It could be the lighting but your hair looks much lighter at the ends, so the treatment made a difference, and looks great! And the lounger, I love it! you picked the correct size.
The best advice I can tell you (and for all of us) is to be your own best friend and give yourself the advice and comfort you want for your best friend, you'll see it helps a lot! (i suffered my entiere life about anxiety too) I understood very late that you have to know how to be indulgent with yourself and be your own support! Take care 💖
Not sure if anyone can relate to this… But I always hear people say that you should wash your hair only 1-2 a week. Though that honestly doesn’t work for my hair type. I have very straight and thin hair and it gets oily very quickly. If I don’t wash it every second day, I feel so unclean and don’t look presentable for work. I’ve tried “training” my scalp to produce less oil by reducing how often I wash my hair but it didn’t work at all. If anyone has advice for me, let me know 🤭
Hi, two tips that helped me (although I do have type 3a thick curls) that I've also recommended to friends with straight thinner hair who have been loving the results: try sulfate free shampoo and also an acidic rinse with organic apple cider vinegar. You can add some herbs like rosemary and chamomile for reducing inflammation and dryness. There are lots of recipes on RUclips. You can use the rinse every or every other week.
I have straight, thin and fine hair. Super greasy hair. It has taken me 3 years of washing every other day before my hair started looking normal on the days I don't wash. I'm going to start going 2 days without washing now. I did it last week and my hair looked so greasy on the 2nd day of not washing. I'm thinking it's going to be another 3 years before I can comfortably go 2 days without washing. I wear my hair in a ponytail with a headband on the days I don't wash to hide the grease. Now, after 3 years, I don't need the head band on the first day I don't wash. Now I need to wear it on the 2nd day I don't wash until my hair stops being greasy. This did however lead me to only washing my daughters hair twice a week. I had parents that taught us to wash every day. So now I want to set my daughter up for success with her hair when she's older. Her hair never gets greasy between washes.
Deli I am quite jealous of your tan. I'm a Canadian and we have been in a cold and dreary winter for what feels like years (with tons more snow on the way). I am quite envious of your glowing tan and the greenery outside your windows!
Hey Deli! Sending lots of love! You are awesome, and gorgeous! and you should never ever say sorry for how normal your life is! it's normal to have bad days, or messy house! i really try to tidy up our home everyday and it's still messy by the end of the day :(. there is no such thing as perfect. I love how real your videos are
You could do a silk bonnet for sleep in place of the silk pillow case; i can't to do stuff on my face/head while sleeping so do the pillow case, which I thought I'd hate, but its actually pretty comfy. Stays cool too which is nice.
I was just thinking I really needed a Deli Vlog! I'm sorry you've been having a bit of a rough patch. I have a panic disorder and completely understand what you mean about the body confusing excitement for anxiety. It helps me to do a carotid massage and sip ICE cold water to stimulate my vagus nerve when I'm feeling extra keyed up.
Yep, I've heard ice water therapy can be good depending on the person. I think for some people it can make anxiety worse, but for a lot of people its very helpful. I would like to try it
Thank you for sharing this and talking a bit about how it can be hard to get back into the swing of things while grieving. I lost my grandmother back in July, and it took me several months to start feeling better, but I can say I'm finally back feeling good now, though of course I still miss her and think about her a lot. It's great that you're able to take it slow and take care of yourself.
So good to see you, so sorry for your loss too. I have health conditions that cause chronic fatigye and it really does suck, so many times i feel like i let people down, but it hits like a brick wall, and as i am allergic to caffeine i can't get help to boost myself lol, my Mum comes and stays and she is like how can you possibly be tired you just got up, and she has had at least one coffee lol Really hope that you feel better soon. Love the chair and table you got for the office too, they look classy :D Take care sending hugs and love to you, James and Bowser 🤗💖💖💖
I ask for a buff when getting my nails done. It helps bring out the natural oils in the nails. That way you keep them clean and healthy without polish. It's also easy to do yourself when you want some me time.
I’m so curious about your two living situations! What’s it like going back and forth between Melbourne and Sydney? Is it hard missing friends, family, gardening, etc when you’re gone?
We are pretty introverted people so we don't have the same social needs orher people might. We have family in both states that we get to see, so theres never that feeling of having no one close by :) The drive is pretty good as we do it over 2 days with an overnight farm stay. Its been workign well for us, but I do miss my garden when at the apartment!
I also suffer with PMS, PMDD (you didn't mention that but just saying my personal symptoms) and difficult periods/cyst. I tried a functional medicine doctor for an unrelated issue regarding my thyroid and happened to mention the issues I have with my cycles and they recommended Vitex supplement (also known as chaste berry) it has been biggest game changer!! I feel like a new person. Anyone taking my advice on it please do your own research and talk to your own health providers as with any new supplement/medication. Side note- I was warned it can increase fertility; If that's something anyone is avoiding take extra precautions around your fertility windows.
I'm a bit late too comment but thank you again for your vlogs. As someone who also struggles with anxiety, I also can relate and understand with the daily difficulties. You make me feel less alone with these updates :)
Hi Deli!! Love the new set up!! I have an xl curved monitor currently and I still find that I am looking to add a second monitor so that when I play RPG games on Stream it doesn’t affect my gameplay! Doesn’t matter as much for sims, but just food for thought!! 💗💗
Hi Deli! I've been following your sims channel and James' for years and this is the first time I watch a video from this channel and I really enjoyed it! I'll be following you here aswell 😊 I just wanted to say that I understand you with mixing anxiety with excitement (autism related, but I also had anxiety and depression disorder as a child and teen), so one thing that really helps me out is talking to myself, or even with someone, if I'm not alone, and saying: "I'm so excited!" And I try to say it smiling. It's like when I say it out loud, my body instantly understands that nothing bad is going to happen, and that the situation I'm approaching is not dangerous! I hope this helps you, because to me it helps a lot... I just try to remind myself that I'm happy and that I'm capable of anything (sounds stupid but it works 😅) Lots of hugs, you're the best 😊🌼
i love the way that you talk about wellness in your videos! you have such great balance between working towards your goals and giving yourself grace and understanding. thanks for speaking so openly about anxiety disorders and self-care. it is super helpful and inspiring to me!
Sorry for your loss, these things are never easy and grief is different for everyone. Definitely listen to your body and what it needs in this time! Also- love Bowser's new view from the office! Did I miss the explanation as to why you're in an apartment vs the house?
Deli! Hey girl! So good to see you! Glad you are taking care and resting as you need too. I've had to take a step back and do the same thing for a while. It is okay to listen to your body and rest. We will be back and better before we know it!! Take care!💚✌🏻💪🏻
Oh, be careful with nose spray ❤ It can be addictive and very destructive for your sinuses and nose. I know people (plural) who had to operate to fix nose spray damage 😬 It's not harmless and should only be used when really needed. I don't want you to accidentally hurt yourself ❤🥺
@@Delidiary Hm... I should have researched better before I wrote, I just had a knee-jerk reaction to warn you and didn't check what kind of nose spray the people I know were addicted to. I think it's a good idea to check with your doctor or a pharmacist to be sure, but I find when I google it now that pure saline seems to be safe. I'm absolutely not sure, though, and I would err on the side of caution myself. I would be wary of irritating my nose over time with excess use of a substance, even just saline, that doesn't really belong there. But I understand if the benefits you experience weigh more than any potential risk, or if you find that there are none ❤ From what I've seen of your videos, you seem to be very aware of and focused on what's good for your body and mind 🥰
@@Delidiary saline spray is okay and so are many sprays that are recommended by docs. In America, it’s usually a brand called Afrin that’s troublesome.
Yes I have a script from my doctor for daily nasal sprays for permanent congestion.. (already had 3 sinus surgeries for polyps). African is the only thing that clears the congestion but for less than hour. Can only get it when I’m at the ent
You can use a silk scarf instead of a silk pillow case. Glad she tested your strand and that she gave you a vitamin B treatment. Happy things are going well on your end. Nice vlog episode! Chair looks nice! It reminds me of popcorn ceilings! Are they coming back too? Monitor wise I have 2 TVs (you might want 3). 1 Large 75 inches in the center and two vertically rotated on the sides (40 inches or so, to match the large one in the center). TVs are way cheaper than good monitors and they might be good enough if you don't intend to play hard core games that need ultra fast refresh rates.
Deli I’m sorry for your loss I was close to my grandparents as well it been since 2016 it’s now 2023 I’m still learning to deal with it so I hope you learn to deal with it in a healthier way as well
I'm having one of those days today. I had to rest today and yesterday because I'm "ON" atm, and it was a ROUGH one, because I have not had a proper period (the full cycle) for months. It's just all over the place. So yeah, I agree Deli. Self Care is SUPER important. Love all your purchases and think your set up is simple, clean, functional & gorgeous. Also Bowser can have centre stage, hehe as he should. 💖
Hey deli, great video. I'm a hairdresser also in Sydney, while I'm kinda surprised that they didn't colour your hair as from what I can see it looks like virgin hair and not too bad condition but obviously hard to fully tell unless you see in person, however that's a very good sign when a hairdresser is honest with you it shows they care about hair health! All of the advice that hairdresser gave you is definitely all true especially the hair tie they are a game changer. Invisibobble is a great brand of those coil hair ties you usually can get them from priceline I believe. In terms of washing hair I always say it's different for every client while you definitely don't want to wash every day if you gym and sweat a lot etc, I think every 2-3 days is OK too, a good dry shampoo is always good but yes you don't want to over use and make sure you clean it out really well after use. Also definitely always use salon grade professional products only never supermarket or drug store hair care. I hope you can get your dream hair soon deli, looking forward to more vlogs x ✨️
As someone who washes their hair 1-2 times a week depending on what's going on, is a heavy sweater at night time, and is also a hairdresser, my advice to help with extending washes is: use protective styles. For example, I personally do this: Day 1: Wash day, hair down Day 2: No dry shampoo, hair down or half up Day 3: A second half up style(or headband) Day 4: ponytail day/braid day Day 5: Ponytail day or continue wearing same braids Day 6: Continue braids again/bun day or wash day Day 7: 100% wash day-hair down again No one notices I do this, but I literally like having certain styles to do that hides the oil shine without having to purchase dry shampoo😂
My condolences Deli. I am experiencing the aftermath of my recent loss. I was very close to my grandma all my life. It definitely takes a toll on the mind, body and soul. Never feel guilty about needing time and space. We’re here for you. 💗💗
Yey for another vlog🤗 oh lol you have exactly the same intercom with the exact same ringtone as we do and when it rang my cat flew across the room to hide as he though that someone was coming to visit us(his terrified of that thing and visitors)🤦🏻♀️😂🤣love the new side table and chair…so pretty 😍
Hi Deli! Washing my hair with cold water instead of hot water changed my hair game. Also if you don't already have a shower head water filter that can be great for your scalp and hair health too! Hope you are feeling better soon :-)
Hi there, I just LOVE your vlogs; they are the most relaxing videos on here. I also love that there's no background music, I find it soothing, and more natural. I hope your anxiety can settle a bit. Take care
Thank you Deli, after your every vlog video I feel that I want to do something good with my life, start to take care of myself. I don't know how you do it, but you are like the virtual friend that encourages me to lift my butt and do the things I need to do for myself. Shedding dog owner here
Point the nasal spray towards the opposite ear when you spray, gets into the sinuses better and shouldn't sting as much plus you might not need to sniff it up the same
When people say to wash hair once or twice a week, it just sounds bizarre to me. I wash my hair almost every day because I exercise almost every day. And when I exercise, I sweat. A LOT. Like how much I can sweat at times is my hair will look like it's completely wet like I just got out of the shower. My hair would look so greasy, flat, smell bad, and just overall disgusting if I don't wash it after I work out... I try not to wash my hair on my rest days but I live in a tropical country where it is so hot and humid. My hair type is straight and thin. My scalp is very oily. My skin is just oily in general. I really don't understand how one would wash their hair only once or twice a week...
Yea the “don’t wash” your hair thing is not a one size fits all! It also takes time to get to the point of not washing daily. It has taken me years to get to every other and I am slowing getting to the 3rd day. Also the shampoos you use also make a huge difference.
I definitely relate to the anxiety thing. It’s something I experienced all my life and now I feel like I don’t know how to unlearn it. Especially with some pretty bad experiences. But I’m trying :””). I also lost my mother unexpectedly back in 2021. For a while I thought I was working through it but I think I was really just ignoring it and pushing it away. Now I find myself struggling time to time. I feel so tired all of the time and it’s hard sometimes to want to take care of myself or leave the house. But seeing other people relate to those experiences makes me not feel alone. Your videos remind me to be kinder to myself and to not feel ashamed about working on my mental health or needing a break. Love you, Deli. Also, you are glowing! Your skin looks so good despite you feeling unwell. Skincare routine next? hehe 💌💗⭐️
I lost my grandma 2 years ago next week. She was my substitute mom, and it's been really hard. I still miss her and feel sad that she never got to meet my little girl that was born 3 months later. But it does get easier to miss them. Hugs to you. And great advice to listen to your body when you need a break. I often go to things I shouldn't because I feel guilty but taking care of yourself should be the most important thing. Thanks for the chill vlog. 🤍
Hello Deli! I hope you get to feeling better. I'm really glad your mom is going to stay with you. That sounds like so much fun! Take your time to heal and do what you need. We will be here when you come back. Sending prayers from my family to yours.
Hi Deli. The chair looks great in your space. I haven’t really liked the trend either, though. It looks like when a sweater or blanket is starting to pill. I think if I got a chair like that I’d pick at all the little ballies the way I do with sweaters. 😂
You can definitely use a satin bonnet or scarf for bed. Sometimes I’m lazy about it lol but whenever I do, my hair looks amazing in the morning. If not, I think you can also find satin headbands and just wear those with your hair up in a bun. It’ll protect the perimeter of your hair which is mostly what gets frizzy due to rolling around. Also, if you really would like to try some at home treatments, K18 might be something good to look into. Unlike olaplex, it works on a long term scale rather than just with each use. In my opinion, your hair looks very healthy. I don’t think it’ll take long at all to get you prepared for bleach! 💗⭐️
Hey Deli! I have textured hair that I am horrible at taking care of so I try to do passive maintenance as much as possible lol! I've ruined plenty of silk pillow cases out of laziness so I just use satin and think its just as good. I drool as well and use allergen pillow protectors but you could probably put a cotton or Jersey case underneath the satin. Alternatively, you could wear a satin bonnet to sleep but I find it very uncomfy. Hope you're doing well! ❤
Regarding the silk pillowcase, I think you can use a silk bonnet instead to protect your hair 😊 I’m thinking of getting one cause I prefer the texture of cotton pillows 😅
I came here to suggest a cap too! as a hairdresser, I feel like everyone should use them because they really do help.
Thanks, I had never considered the bonnet or head scarf idea, it could be much better than a pillow for me!
@Delidiary awesome! Show us what you end up using, and let us know if you notice any differences.
I love my new bonnet. I have fine hair but a lot of it. I don't care for the pillowcase and it wouldn't really help me. My hair is so long that it wraps around my neck. The first night it did it I decided I needed a bonnet 🤣
I’m so sorry about your loss ❤

just wanted to say, any of your vids always make my day. your energy is so comforting which helps my anxiety so much! thank you for making me smile deli!
Thank u, glad you enjoy them xxx
I love watching this channel and how honest you are about everything. Like I never understood why when I was excited I would get nauseous, but its my anxiety playing tricks on my brain. 🙃 Thank you for letting me know I am not alone. 😊
So many ppl seem to be the same! its so annoying XD
Your face/skin will appreciate the silk pillowcase as much as the hair 😉
Love the video, so relatable.
true! I think ideally i would go a szie down, but i already had a mix up with the delivery, so tailor could be a good option.
Thanks thats realy nice ToastyFox!
That is a very good hair dresser to not let you damage your hair further. Your hair looks lovely! I also have been having a rough go this year I lost my dad last year and Im still struggling mentally. Hang in there, you will get back to your routine when you are ready.
I'm really sorry to hear that, I can't imagine how hard it must be. Sending love and good vibes your way ChiiFett xx
@@Delidiary thank you so much. I am so sorry for your loss. Its never easy. Sending those vibes right back to you. ❤️
the moment you said "give yourself the rest you're needing" - The way my body breathed, instantly calmed.
Bowser's just so cute and fluffy ‼️
thank u xx
As someone with anxiety trying to get my life back together, this was inspiring and cozy to watch. Very real, not too influencer-y.
We love your posts Deli and it's ok that you had to take time away from the vlog. Life happens and whether it's good or bad, we're here for you 🥰
anxious excitement is SO real! literally before anything exciting I have to just sit down in a quiet space lol
I've been feeling super slow this year too. We'll get there eventually. Love your vlogs as always
Your solution is also fab, so defo just carry on if it's good for you.
thank u, sounds like a good idea!
I have curly hair, waist-length (when wet) and washing once a week helped my hair to calm down the oiling a lot.
good to know!
I have a similar linen set for summer it’s the best! Thanks for reminding us to listen to what our bodies and minds need, it’s so easy to push yourself to the brink if you’re not mindful of it ☹️🥰💕 hope you feel much better soon!
such a handy set!
XD
Those are major changes happening in your life, I can't imagine!
Glad you’re back! Your skin looks glowing and amazing! I’m also sorry for your loss! 💕
Take care 💖
Thank you! Great advice
You look beautiful, Deli! Also you can use a silk sleeping bonnet instead of a pillow case ☺️
I just got one in Amazon for my curls it's amazing
Hello, fellow Canuck! Originally from Ontario, living in Newfoundland for the last 15 years. I miss seasons 😂
I try and stay out of the sun a lot these days so I use fake tan (ecotan is my fave atm). It gives me a little more confidence!
My body also confuses excitement with anxiety, it makes it hard to do exciting things, because my tummy starts doing flips and I feel awful
Thats great to hear. It does take time xx
helps to hear you say it’s okay to rest ~ I have some heavy chores I need to do, but my body needs rest first.
i love this personal content from u. it seems quite real and personal
You make driving worries feel normal and I appreciate that x
So good to see you, so sorry for your loss too. I have health conditions that cause chronic fatigye and it really does suck, so many times i feel like i let people down, but it hits like a brick wall, and as i am allergic to caffeine i can't get help to boost myself lol, my Mum comes and stays and she is like how can you possibly be tired you just got up, and she has had at least one coffee lol
Really hope that you feel better soon.
I love the short set!! The chair is pretty too. You're right about listening to your body!! Very important stuff!!
Regional New South Wales here and Sydney roads scares me too. I just go around using public transport 😂😂
Fyi I love magazines, the feel of it, the smell, and I’m old school ❤ always enjoy your vlogs, and I’m so sorry about your grandma 😢
Me too!! Thank u xx
That set looks amazing on you and I love the oversized vibes!!
I’ll check this out thank you!
Hahaha! I love how helpful Bowser is! My brain: (in Bowser voice) “I love the chair! Let’s put it over here, ok? Yes! Right there!”
i didnt know you had a vlog channel until now, now im excited to binge your vlogs!!
Yay!
I'm a bit late too comment but thank you again for your vlogs.
As someone who also struggles with anxiety, I also can relate and understand with the daily difficulties. You make me feel less alone with these updates :)
I just got a satin sleep bonnet from Etsy this week. It is really nice. I like it better than the silk pillowcase.
I just try to remind myself that I'm happy and that I'm capable of anything (sounds stupid but it works 😅)
Lots of hugs, you're the best 😊🌼
That doesn't sound silly at all, I should try this!
i love the way that you talk about wellness in your videos! you have such great balance between working towards your goals and giving yourself grace and understanding. thanks for speaking so openly about anxiety disorders and self-care. it is super helpful and inspiring to me!
A satin scarf or bonnet at night works wonders. You'll definitely notice a difference. I totally agree with what Charaya said.
Glad you are on the mend
I suggest seeing how your iron levels are and maybe taking extra around your pms period time as loss of blood can help your energy a bit
I was legit thinking that when she used the spray like Oo no be careful over using those!
oh really? Even just saline spray? I thought the ingredients would be ok XD
Thanks Shawn! Yeah I've always had pretty weak/fragile hair. I've got the coil hair ties, now i just need silk bonnet!
@@Delidiary you're welcome! Yeah fair enough. Awesome to hear. Yes definitely get on that 👏🏻 🙂
watching this as I’m immobilized in bed from PMS, feeling solidarity in this chilis tonight
❤️
As someone who washes their hair 1-2 times a week depending on what's going on, is a heavy sweater at night time, and is also a hairdresser, my advice to help with extending washes is: use protective styles.
For example, I personally do this:
Day 1: Wash day, hair down
Day 2: No dry shampoo, hair down or half up
Day 3: A second half up style(or headband)
Day 4: ponytail day/braid day
Day 5: Ponytail day or continue wearing same braids
Day 6: Continue braids again/bun day or wash day
Day 7: 100% wash day-hair down again
No one notices I do this, but I literally like having certain styles to do that hides the oil shine without having to purchase dry shampoo😂
You’re relatable love the hair and the loungewear is so cool.
My condolences Deli. I am experiencing the aftermath of my recent loss. I was very close to my grandma all my life. It definitely takes a toll on the mind, body and soul. Never feel guilty about needing time and space. We’re here for you. 💗💗
Thanks Nikki, my condolences to you too xxxx
Yey for another vlog🤗 oh lol you have exactly the same intercom with the exact same ringtone as we do and when it rang my cat flew across the room to hide as he though that someone was coming to visit us(his terrified of that thing and visitors)🤦🏻♀️😂🤣love the new side table and chair…so pretty 😍
🤣❤️ bowser also gets up ready to protect from visitor! Haha
Hi Deli! Washing my hair with cold water instead of hot water changed my hair game. Also if you don't already have a shower head water filter that can be great for your scalp and hair health too! Hope you are feeling better soon :-)
thanks, ive heard this too!
It’s the starting new year in-tune with your emotions and self awareness for me 😆🙌🏻
yesssss
Michaela I feel like on some level she would have met your little one
@Delidiary thanks deli ❤️
Not being able to tell the difference between anxiety and excitement hit me hard!
Love your vlogs💖 allweys so inspiring
Yes finally I love watching your videos! Your so relatable love your honesty!
The lounge set looks amazing but you definitely could’ve gotten a size small!! ❤️
Ily u always brighten my day thank you !!!💕
I love sniffing eucalyptus scents lol it unblocks my nose i swear, love the loungewear btw
Hello Deli! I hope you get to feeling better. I'm really glad your mom is going to stay with you. That sounds like so much fun! Take your time to heal and do what you need. We will be here when you come back. Sending prayers from my family to yours.
Thanks Bri Lee ❤️❤️🤗
I love Deli sm
Hi Deli. The chair looks great in your space. I haven’t really liked the trend either, though. It looks like when a sweater or blanket is starting to pill. I think if I got a chair like that I’d pick at all the little ballies the way I do with sweaters. 😂
yeah i agree, its not for me. But I think it works as a background and rarely used XD
Thanks Heather!
Deli you can get a silk bonnet instead of a pillowcase. It’s like a shower cap with silk inside to protect your hair. There are also silk hair ties.
Ohhh I definitely agree with you. Melbourne is easier to drive in
Regarding the silk pillowcase, I think you can use a silk bonnet instead to protect your hair 😊 I’m thinking of getting one cause I prefer the texture of cotton pillows 😅
I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandma 💞💞
Always so happy to see a new vlog from you 😊 looking good 🤍
As someone who thinks you're drop dead gorgeous..and someone who loves blondes above all else...keep your hair color, Deli!!
Hi Deli, thank you for your vlogs!
