- Penicillin pass through porins of gram negative bacterial cell wall. The penicillin then binds to penicillin binding protein linked the cell membrane to be activated. Active penicillin binds to and inactivate transpeptidase enzyme. As a result peptidoglycans NAM and NAG sugars are not cross-linked and the cell wall collapse
Dear friends, a new comprehensive animation video titled "Antibacterials" was uploaded at this channel. I would be pleased if you have a look at it and send me your feedback
Tetrapeptide side chains are attached to NAM not NAG
I was struggling to understand it with the teacher's paper.. But you simply explained everything in 3 minutes
Thank you
Tetrapeptide is attached to NAM
These Tetrapeptides are linked together by pentaglycine cross-link with the aid of transpeptiase ( penicillin binding protein ) and Penicillin inhibits this enzyme .
Yes, this is correct though in one book I'm reading, it says pentapeptide instead of tetrapeptide
Correction - PBP's are transpeptidases that link different segments of the peptidoglycans together.
But the chains of amino acids are between NAMs not NAGs..
Yes obviously
Absolutely right
Make your own natural medicine. We know the mechanism of action. Find the plant that does the same and they can kiss our ars.
@@omarafaneh13 You ought to know English in order to truly comprehend these concepts~
You simply explained it in just 3 minutes hats off to you❤
Quite a good animation. Quick and on point! Thank you
thx a lot for your compact lecture. My knowledge belongs to you
Keep it up... V precise and simple explanation.. ♥️
Great overview of the subject, thanks for posting this.
Very simple and very well explained.Thanks.
👍🏻👍🏻 Great
Thank you very much helpful
Absolutely stunning Allah bless you
Amazing thank you
Great efforts..💖💖💖💖💖
Thanks Sir💦💦💦💦
Clarifies very well, thank you
Very short and precise.. thanks much
Gud explanation
isnt pentapeptide and cross linking located betw NAM?
I dont know
could you write the source/journal article where you found this information?
Thank you so much❤
Thanks!
Really high-quality content and lessons
Appreciate that 🙏🏻❤
hocam gercekten cok aciklayiciydi. Ellerinize saglik
Jazak Allahu khayran😍🥀
Very informative ❤
Excellent work 💞💞💞💞💞
5 amino acids chain come from nam( N acetyl muramic acid). Not from nag( N acetyl glucosamine.
why do the bacteria even have this PBP? Is there any positive function for the bacteria?
I hope you will find your answer in the more detailed antibacterial video in my channel.

These protein are not meant for pencillins but it is property of pencillins to bind them and that's why bacteria alter them and acquire resistance
One inaccuracy in the video is the representation of PBPs. Penicillin-binding proteins *are* the transpeptidases. They aren't separate molecules.
Tetrapeptide side chains are attached to NAM not NAG
Great explanation! Thanks you :)
Why 1,3thiazol ring in cephalosporins do anti-MRSA activity
Wonderful 👏👏👏
very useful video thanks
There is only linkage between Nam to Nam
Thanks you sir 😊
the cross-linkage is between NAM not NAG!
Amazing, thank you!
Thank you so much 🙏🏻
nice explaination
Nice video tq sir
Quite good 👍
But penicillin doesnt work with Gram negative bacteria
Penicillins as a family have gram negative spectrum. I have just uploaded a new video titled Antibacterials, I would be pleased if you have a look at it.
Thank you 🙏
Great!!!
Thank you sm for this video🤍
Why does penicillin not work on candida albicans? Is it due to it being made up of Chitin, not peptidoglycan? or is there more to it?
Candida is fungus and cell wall is different, some what more complex ergosterol, glucan and chitin are targets
Perfection
very much helpful
Thankyou!
Please give permission to use them for education purpose..
You welcome to use them for education purpose at any time
Thanks
What is the role of NAM and NAG?
thank you!!!
Nice
Please add subtitles
The peptide cross-links should be between the peptides coming off of the NAMs, not NAGs. ruclips.net/video/a81nHSqQuvI/видео.html

why 40 old men prof, sounds like 13 years old girl
the narrator is a third year medical student girl
Transpeptidase itself is one of PBPs
