"We made that beige Lexus our bitch". Albert kills me every time 😂
In '72 when I was 10 years old, my dad drove me, my 12-year old brother and my 15-year old sister across the country in his brand new 72 '911T. Just let that sink in. Boston to California and back to Boston. What a terrible idea for an adult to have. And I will never forget it. It was magnificent!
My second Porsche (and first 911) was a '72 T. Holy hell do I miss that car...and not because it's now worth 10X what I bought and sold it for. Just amazing to drive.
First. Nick for President 2024.
President of PCA maybe
Amen
President of stuffed animal cruelty prevention association, at best
Albert Blue and the prototipo wheel, I'm in love.
This car is just perfection in my eyes. Thank you for sharing this video with us. ^__-
Have a nice week Mr Murray.
Albert is the one with the brain...."Finally, a real Porsche." To my geezerhood, this generation always has been and always will be THE real Porsche. (Apologies to the youngins')
What an amazing color
My late brother had one. He bought it new a few years after college. The car had 150k miles on it. I was driving it around once a week before my sister and I sold it. It seemed like every time I took it out for a one hour drive some much younger guy would honk their horn at me and give me a thumbs up.
Thanks Nick and thank you Derek for sharing your beautiful 911T.
Perfection …enough said …..thanks Nick ; bloody wonderful.
Thank you, Nick, for reviewing an original Porsche product. A compact, but nice assessment.
One of the best 911's ever made. Pure, unadulterated pleasure with no aids. Thanks to you, Nick, and the owner of this suberb machine for showing this car to everyone.
That car on New Hampshire mountain roads: Perfection. Thanks for sharing.
What a great video Nick! Thank you for taking the time to do this video. Beautiful car.
This is by far the best car you have featured.
I feel in love with German auto engineering when my father drove home a brand new 1971 VW Squareback. Closing the frunk revealed impressive air-tightness. The little station-wagon was this color, Albert Blue, with white interior. Two years later I took my driver's test in it, then drove it through HS and college. Albert Blue looks stunning on the 911. Configuring new 911s for fun, my most popular PTS colors have been Irish Green, British Racing Green, Brewster Green, and Albert Blue. Thanks for this one, Nick. Amazing how the ' 72 911 styling has never been surpassed, in my opinion.
Love your choice of music.
I can also relate to “The Big Chill” experience you referenced, with Marvin Gaye’s “Heard it through the grapevine” playing in the background. Cars & music go hand in hand for me. 😄
Nick smuggled his drugs in a compartment under the frunk. .......Nick in the movie, i mean. 😏🤫
@@CMX70 😆🤣😂
Great video, as always. Thank you for sharing your impressions and joy.
Thank you for posting Nick!
Beautiful, thanks Mr. Nick!
Beautiful car!
Thank you Derek you are a lucky fellow. Such a beautiful car.
Great car Nick - in my humble opinion far nicer than it's modern day incarnate.
A real looker.
Thank you!
So good to see something from you in your natural habitat Nick - in a Porsche!!!! :)))))
Stunning car ❤
Beautiful machine!
Gorgeous
Very cool, thanks for posting Nick!
Fantastic!
What a fabulous Porsche!
So cool. Beautiful, beautiful car!
Damn, do I love long hoods--especially in Albert Blue! Great video!
Always thought the 70s 911s were the prettiest. No bloat, no red calipers just lovely, enjoy the drive!
I would paint the calipers red and put some 19" wheels
@@ArtVandelayOfficial Jubbly!
Wicked classy car!
Nostalgia is powerful.
I have so nice memories of our 911 2.7 Sportomatic. Unfortunately my dad drove it in a ditch within 6 month of ownership. 😭
Fantastic car 👍👍
beautiful
Oh man, love this. This colour too.
Wow! Wow…… just wow! 😊🇬🇧
What a beauty❤! The car too!😉
Awesome. I have a 71 T in Albert Blue. Great to see you appreciating the more senior Porsche 911..
I felt like I took the ride with you. The experience seems similar to my '95 993. The wind, the smell of oil and leather inside the cabin....
Such a pretty thing.
So cool!!
Beautiful example!
There’s a company here in the Uk that fits electric AC.. good to see a classic review Nick!
It is called a 911T, never heard it called a Carrera T before. Anyway that car is in beautiful condition & what a colour! They are so fun to drive.
Nothing like that air cooled howl!
Careful with those downshifts Nick on that classic. One of those looked very close to being an over rev! 😂👍🏼
It was definitely a cringe moment when the tach went into the red.😮
Those old tachometers have pretty bouncy needles...
Lovely car. Great video!
Good bloke Derek!
You won RUclips with this video
What a beauty! I’d love one of those in my garage. The car’s ok too 😊 Love you, man ❤
Nice 👍
I love it!!
Awesome! I always thought i would get one. I just retired and now they are priced crazy!
My favorite car RUclipsr! Wish we could have more content from you
Wow, what a beauty she is!!! Starting my Porsche adventure this fall with a black/black 993 with decent low mileage. But can't wait to hopefully add a 70's Carrera T series some day down the line!
Nick, you look so happy driving 911s back to back!!! I would buy this one but I am short $120,000 and no AC is a deal breaker :(
"She's a go'er" ... howl !!!
Great video sir. Greetings from UK. ❤
Well played. Thx for the video. My '72 911T is jealous of the 2.7 "S" engine, but gets more miles than my 997 TT. Really fun car in the local hills every Sunday..
Wow Nick that 911 is so beautiful & the perfect color combination, medium/dark royal blue with black inside.
Back in 1987, I almost bought a 73 Targa in those colors. Was only $3300 😳😦😮
Really Cool . Great on including that info box , 10 seconds into the video I was wondering if it was a 5 speed and hoping to see that info box . The Big Chill ... mmm vixen Meg Tilly .
Nice!
It’s a beaut.
Air cool life 😎
What is that beautiful exterior color?!?! 🤩
“Albert Blue”. Got it! 👍🏾
just cool
we got a 992 but would trade for this
I usually can’t stand Nick’s horrible yammering and that accent but in this case I needed a longer video. I’m kidding course! I love you and your channel Nick! That’s one amazing car you got to drive.
Lucky Derek
Nick, I had a '70 T and a '71 E back in the day. I now have a 997. I love the 997, but honestly, the thing I miss the most from the early cars is the flip-out rear quarter windows. Why Porsche put in fixed windows is lost on me. I've even looked at the aftermarket to see if anybody makes replacement quarter windows that flip out. Sadly, no bueno!
Entirely lovely, but not at all original. It is not as extreme as Singer, although I do admire their work. I really love this model and appreciate so very much the wish to restomod 964's to this series. It is a hope for one of my 964's someday. A really wonderful video Nick. Thank you!
Great video. I lusted after an older 911 but fortunately I drove one and that took care of that, I'm much happier in my 992.
Would love an early 911T but I love the creature comforts of my 987.2C more. Here in Australia both models cost way more than in the US or UK, so unfortunately I can’t afford both…
The steering wheel shook like my washing machine at full speed.
Beautiful car, awesome color. Wish you had shown the bespoke backlit door sill liners with the original owner's girlfriends name.
So about these 30k ones you mention.......🤔.
Great video and love that Albert? blue. I'm looking for a nice blue. Honda used to have one called Varnish Blue on the early CB400F.
Ok…
I have to say this out loud sir…
ALBERT is correct… finally a REAL PORSCHE 👏
Come on Nick, trade in the 993 for it 👍
Lovely to see, thanks guys and gorilla 👍
This are fabulous cars but no GT, I love mine but I learnt a bitter lesson last year on a road trip around France in August(height of summer). No AC and sport suspension on that trip, meant my relationship between my partner and I was severely tested and she was truly traumatised because of this missing comfort bits. Suffice to say it’s permanently put her of road trips, even though we laugh about it now. She suffered because of the heat. Moral of story, purchase knowing it’s not your only car or definitely not for road trips with better half if you want peace 😂😂😂😂😂
Beautiful car! Will used Porsche 911 prices ever come back to earth? Talking more recent gens like 991-992. Feels like the 911 in general is lagging behind everything else on the dropping market trends.
Thanks Nick! Does more challenging and engaging equal more fun for you? Would you want one over your 993 or the new Macan sized 992?
Beautiful 911. It has to be worth a couple of bucks!
gonna say 120k or more in this condition.
Another great video Nick. I had one of these, but it was a '74 911T. Been so long I don't remember. Could have been a '73. It was red. Did they call it Guards Red in those days? To my surprise. when I picked it up at the factory it had fuel injection (like the 911E). I ordered it with air conditioning which worked OK. It replaced my red 912, and I guess, looking back, I liked the 912 just as much--more fun perhaps. But the 911T was a great car too. Now my everyday driver is an Amaranth Red 2014 Carrera. They are all great cars.
Nick, we're excitedly awaiting the full video on HeliExpo! When do you think it'll be ready?
Oh my! Now that is a thing of beauty! (obviously I mean the car and not you Nick. Sorry fella)
The modern T I hae on order is Gentian Blue - I guess the closest you can get to Albert Blue without going paint-to-sample. I still kick myself whenever I remember a perfect looking red 1970 T I could have has for $20,000 back in 2010.
"There is no substitute." 2:40 Ha! "Ahh!, she's a goer!" Nick showing his Aussie roots??? 🤓 A true Porschefile watches the whole of The Big Chill just to see that beat up '69... Way to go, 'Digger'!
Back when they were just used for driving, not as investments.
Hey Nick, If you can get your hands on one of the 2023 Type R, it would be awesome to see you drive/review that thing, since it has been compared to a GT3 by a lot of youtubers. Would love to know your thoughts about it.
hey nick, will you be able to test the 911 dakar?
2:44 Nick, are you alright?!? :D
A beautiful piece of Porsche history. However, I'd prefer the current model 992 T for my garage
as no airconditioning here in Summer ( Queensland, Australia ) is not worth thinking about.
These Porsches are shooting up in price. Question is, will they continue to go up in price thanks to Nick's video?
Sure and many others ... ;)
