Poor guy. I hate seeing people scared, especially when they also seem lost or confused. I hope they catch whoever did this. If you can beat to death an old, scared and confused guy there is something fundamentally wrong with you

"Guys, down the hill." is the one that gets me the most.
I cannot imagine being in a marriage where it's common to stonewall each other for weeks, to the extent that you go missing and your spouse assumes it's normal.
That sounds ike hell to me.
Yes it sounds terrible but better someone who is upset at you and expresses their emotions than someone who doesn't even get emotional and is pretty much emotionless in the marriage, that is far worse! I was in a relationship like that and it's bad
Agreed.. horrendous
i do i just up and go when had enough i get great pleasure phoning from another country last one was Madrid. He give me ten days then worries,my son on the other hand goes nuts.If i did't i go insane and my 45 year marriage be finished.
Not true, my wife once a month was only nice to me for 3 days before payday when I got my substantial retiree army check paying her bills then threw me out of her house she owned from a previous marriage. 2 weeks would go by & she’d beg me to come back only to start her nonsense all over again. I put up with it for 2 year’s. Just because she was a caregiver nurse doesn’t mean she cared. I divorced her a year ago now & living homeless in my van to get my credit & life back in order after she drained my finances dry. 24 hour gyms for showers, Walmart’s to sleep in & off to Florida during the winter to live in my van due to warmer weather then back to Indiana again every spring. Lots of men like me that lose everything only to start all over again late in life. Once just like this guy in the story, I too had it all. No more relationships for me at age 60 because I can’t start all over again only to lose all my stuff again so I live on the cheap to rebuild my assets again.
@@jamesalbright4666 that what happen to my son.He so desperatly wants out so he signed anything and he signed half of his pension to her plus spousel allowence and she high earner.he signed over his house to her plus contents a house he built..no horror story could be worse than he treated
Ballen said that Jack had worked in the pentagon and been a high ranking official. The fact that NO ONE not even the cameras picked up anything suggests that whoever did this to him… was either extremely intelligent enough to hide himself or had help………
That’s the unfortunate thing about people who work in secrecy. When you get out or threaten to leak what’s going on behind the scenes, you become a liability. That’s why so many ex-spies and agents end up dead when they open up about things they know about. It’s impossible to avoid an organized group when they’ve decided they’re going to kill you. There is no escape, that’s why it’s so scary.

Sounds like he knew something he wasn't supposed to
If he had been hit about the head the first time, when he said he was mugged and the suitcase was stolen, that could explain some of the bizarre behavior. He could have been suffering from a concussion or a brain bleed.
thats probably it,but i dont know why the cark park staff didnt call police for him or an ambulance, might have saved his life
@@Gos1234567 When he became aggressive, he may have frightened them. He was a very big man - and yelling at the attendants; I wouldn't have left the booth either. Call me a chicken, but I'm telling the truth.
This sounds legit.
Maybe he went to the law firm in a confused state because he wanted to sue the guy who robbed him?
i mean his famil said he wasnt acting strange he was acting scared
He was drugged when his briefcase was stolen. Our government did this. He was a stubborn man and didn't go along with his employer. This is Def a hit. They knew this footage of him walking around deshiveled would be seen. He was scared. But also drugged
I feel so bad for his wife. Going that whole week being mad at her husband thinking he was just being unnecessarily stubborn. Being angry with him his last few days rather than realizing that he needed help. That must be so hard to deal with after everything.
He could have borrowed a phone to call her. Whole thing is strange.
me too, like imagine how guilty she felt after ):
Hopefully it taught her a sad but necessary lesson
It’s so frightening to realize what has happened and how frightening that was for him. Can’t imagine being his wife and comprehending this too overwhelming
My husband ever since we started sleeping together 😴💤, when we were BF and GF told me, "I don't care how upset we might be of each other, please let's never go to sleep without making peace". I think this has been of so much help and has taught us to resolve our issues that same day. Not allowing anger or resentment to build up in our relationship/marriage. Sometimes it's him to give the first step and sometimes it's me but we always sleep knowing we're on good terms, even if we sleep apart for whatever reason. We just want that if anything bad ever were to happen, we both have the best memory of our "last interaction". I know, I hope nothing bad ever does happen but you never know.
Videos like this make me more observant of what's happening with people and ready to do what I can to help. You never know when you might be the last person to see someone alive.
So true. It's easy to assume this person you never met before is just crazy because you don't have a baseline for their normal behaviors.
I always think about the same thing... It's really crazy when we have to live our lives like that just thinking about if you are going to run into someone that might not be alive the next day....Believe me it has happend to me the thought that is!!!
Same. I only ask Allah that, if someone is in need of aid that, He place me in their path with the capability to assist. My heart hurts bc it was so obv he needed help.
I had something strange happen to me just yesterday….I had to go to an ATM to get cash to pay my husband’s caregiver (she’s a private hire & her payday is on Friday). I usually go on Thursday after work but I had been out sick due to a severe backache & stayed home all day Thursday. I felt better Friday, called my boss & told her I’d be coming in for a few hours. The ATM was a mile from my house & I knew it would just take a few minutes to run over & get the $$ then come back home to pay V, then leave for work. I was in a rush & didn’t grab my phone…not something I do very often. So I get to the ATM & there’s a young woman standing off to one side, sobbing & wiping her eyes. I knew I was pressed for time…I went to the ATM & figured if no one saw to this young woman, I would, even though I realized I didn’t have my phone with me. As I turned to go back towards her & my car, I saw someone standing with her, another young woman who I believe was an employee of the ATMs bank. That haunts me…but I knew there wasn’t much I could do without a phone, and it’s really hard for me to trust people anymore…

"Wheeler's death was ruled a homicide, due to the intensive damage dealt to his body, which included a punctured lung, broken ribs and a wound on his head. Wheeler's autopsy also revealed that he had suffered a heart attack, but still listed the cause of his death as blunt force trauma.

It sounds like this guy lived a horror movie the last few days of his life. First he has items stolen, then realized that he was being followed. He tries to get help, but doesn't know who to trust and can't stay in one place too long, otherwise whoever is watching him might catch up to him. He finally tries disguising himself and going to areas where no one would think to look for him, but his murderer still finds him after tormenting him for several days.
Thanks.
@John Jones Exactly. Unless person following him threatened him about going to police maybe? Idfk lol..🤷♂️
Listen wilmington is bad as shit, one year it was ranked worse for violent crimes and murders than New York philly and Baltimore. It doesn't surprise me at all that this happened to him especially since it seems like he was suffering from dementia at the time.
@John Jones Because he doesn't trust the police.
@John Jones And that's why he ended up 12 miles away from where he was last seen?
Poor Jack. He was clearly in over his head , with some type of a scary situation.
Clearly he was super disoriented with fear.
Makes me sad. :(
Wish he had just gone to the police.
It looks like he was suffering from dementia. If he's scared, why not ask for help?
@@mannylugz5872 Pride for one. It's super common for people to not ask for help for dozens of reasons.
Maybe he was being threatened. Who knows.
Sad part is, we will never know.
His erratic behavior and missing property has me wondering if he hadn't already been assaulted and was slowly dying from his injuries. If he was becoming more and more confused he may have even hid in the dumpster thinking it was his only way to be safe. Of course, none of this may actually be correct, it's just a theory that came to mind.
@@GTLees he could have had a mini stroke as well. I saw this happen to someone once. He got up and went to work, drove his car and everything. But when he got to work be could barely speak, slurring his words, had vomit on his shirt, his clothes were inside-out. His coworkers thought he was drunk. This guy could have been alive while he was in the dumpster....getting dumped into a garbage truck and taken to a land fill could have caused the injuries, which ultimately killed him, not assault. Your theory sounds more reasonable than "THEY" killed him to keep him quiet..... So sick of that shit.
@@angelcitystudio Definitely an event such as a stroke or aneurysm could have gotten him into trouble. I've seen incidents of that, some people suffer something like that but still walk around for a while. Most of them act totally out of character which is what calls attention to them and many times saves their lives. I get tired of conspiracy theories too, some people need to realize that real life is much more boring than dramatic scenes of an action movie heh, heh. Not that I don't like action movies, but most people's lives are not nearly as stimulating/interesting.
Someone wanted him in a big way to have him removed. I’ve remember hearing this story on the news a few years ago.

In trouble scared but never called his wife. Owned a house who lived there. All questionable. He was in trouble and hiding something.
He was trying to protect his wife from whoever was following him. He was successful.
Ex pentagon official.
Could Jack have had trysts with an "escort" in his other house during his business trips? If so, was the "escort service" linked to some shady figures? If he had partied with her, it would explain his not calling his wife, if he got robbed (claiming "burglary"). He may have pursued the escort into the dodgy 'hood, with bad results.
Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. Mans had another life secret and it caught up with him.
My theory is he was visiting a prostitute. If he had a house nearby, seems like the only reason he’d get a hotel. Perhaps in some way he got wrapped up in something involving the wrong people. Perhaps a prostitute stole his briefcase, he went to go confront her pimp (which he may know personally) then got killed and put in a dumpster for it. Far fetched I know but I just feel like that’s the reason he was there and didn’t tell his wife or family. Why else would he do that? Anyone else have any ideas?
I feel so bad for his wife. 🙁 I can't imagine the grief she went through, not only losing her husband to homicide, but the guilt she must've felt knowing that her last interaction with him was fraught with anger and unkind words. I hope she knows that all families fight, and that one bad moment doesn't erase all the love they shared.
I dont think she was grief stricken at all. They seemed to have a really shitty relationship.
Well, in fairness it was just as much him as her. Why didn't he at least let her know he was going to the house in Wilmington? And presumably he knew about the wedding they were to attend. I don't know why people are trying to put it all on her!
For all we know, she knew he was involved in something illegal, they got in a fight, and she ratted him out. Then he was trying to hide in places he wouldn't be found and he didn't go to the cops because he doesn't think they could actually help/protect him. He went to the law firm because he wanted to see what sentence he would be facing if he did turn himself in. Just sayin, the spouse not reporting their partner missing before they turn up murdered is usually a giant red flag.
imagine the first thing is to feel sorry for the party that suffered INDIRECTLY. What next? Blaming the husband for putting his wife through such emotional trauma because "she has to live with it"? *D I S G U S T I N G*
@@anthonyrusso6696 where did you get those infos from? would love to look deeper into this case.
It’s insane to think Mr. Ballen has hundreds and hundreds of these stories that either have never been covered by news, or slightly covered, and rarely, very rarely, there were news stories about them. We see the mass murders, the political debates, unimportant speeches, all the while every day cases like this happen beneath public eye with no one there to cover the “small” stories. Thank you Mr. Ballen for being a voice for all these people who died, disappeared, or have had insane things happen to them.
That's why I tend to turn off the media. There is so much going on that isn't reported, so much so it's sinister scary, yet the media wants people to focus on their propaganda machine. If we all paid attention to the actual numbers of disappearances and evil goings on, our world would be a very different place. Instead, it has become "entertainment", an anomaly to find interesting, in between our daily routine of...

You should consider doing a series on people who disappeared who could’ve been spies. It’s my understanding that there is a substantial trove of the stories. I’ve heard a few. This one seems to fit into that genre: significant connections to DC, protecting a briefcase, has broken his domestic schedule....
He was definitely being targeted and followed by someone dangerous and I think he knew it thats probably why he didn't go home like normal he probably pissed the wrong guy off at his meeting and ditched his stuff and went a different way as to keep his wife family and friends from harm

I feel so sad for Jack's family. How heartbreaking to see your patriarch on video, scared and clearly accosted before he was murdered.
What I think is the WEIRDEST part is him taking a train to Wilmington instead of back home. The only reason someone would neglect to go home when their in trouble is when they feel that trouble will follow them home and put others in danger. So the danger he was afraid of was coming from Washington and not from where he ended up. And for his home in Wilmington to have been broken into is a pretty good indicator that whomever he was afraid of and running from in Washington knew where he was going and got their before he did. It seems as if he even changed clothes in an attempt to hide or blend in. His paranoid behavior is also a good indicator that he was being followed and that he didn't trust anyone. This whole thing honestly makes me think someone in Washington had this man killed.
The meeting in DC.. that he couldn't skip. That tells the whole story.

My late father David Cliff McCulloch, was a veteran of the Malayan campaign. Like so many he lived with the memories of what he experienced for the rest of his life.
He went on to have a family and carve out a successful life as a farmer and training young army
cadets. Which he did for over 20 years.
Without my dearest loves there to ease
my days and fight with me my battles won.
Where would I be?
Dad died in 2007 at the age of 71.
He had advanced Parkinsons.
Our dear old dad. A huge inspiration.
I love the whole process of being a great story. Never a dull moment ...🖤
This guy seemed to have been wandering around all these places as if he had dementia. Showing up in places he would normally go could have been his lucid moments. Maybe the family never disclosed it?
Yeah he was clearly suffering from dementia at the time this happened
Or a concussion.
Could be. But I think the way he was checking over his shoulder over and over makes me think he knew he was being followed. If was being followed I wouldn't go home to my family which I why I think he he ended up in DE. Maybe wandering everywhere to lose who was ever after him.
Undiagnosed dementia. He probably showed aggression in his confusion in the wrong part of town, to the wrong people and that’s where he found his sad end. Bless him and thoughts to his family. Great channel though Mr Ballen. Crazily addictive.
I like how you can tell that he hasn't reshot anything with some of the verbage and phrasing he uses, especially with the outro bits. Good on him for finding a way to keep some of his videos and footage without having to reshoot anything. No extra work on his part, just does his thing and for one reason or another cuts the other stories. In some ways, it's like a breath of fresh air. He's not really trying to impress us, just tell us stories :) and I really appreciate that.
This is scary. I live in Delaware and never heard of this. I know exactly where all those places are you were talking about and been there many times and yes you’re right the part of Wilmington he was near is not nice. That’s scary what happened to him and to think I live very very close to all of it. Wow I hope the family got some form of closure
I've seen this story before. He was also bipolar and could have been having an episode that ended in tragedy. But there was also something about his briefcase that had me thinking there was something inside it that resulted in his death.
Glad you posted the lost episodes, very entertaining
Sounds like Jack had dirt on someone and was now a “liability.”
thats what i think
LMFAOO this comment 😂 100% agreed
Maybe he knew Clinton's?
@@mofayer I was thinking the same thing. So many “suicides” of people close to the Clintons. Jack beat himself up, committed suicide in one dumpster and somehow landed in another one.
@@mofayer Worked with both Bush Presidents, and Reagan
Can't believe his wife didn't find the old timey movie way he was walking of the ordinary. Also most grateful that all three of your uploads weren't Canadian themed. Might haven't been able to leave the house.
Yes, Charlie Chaplin comes to mind.....
I’m here like always
You ROCK MB!!! Thx for all the amazing content!!!
I agree that if he had sustained a head injury that could have been why he was acting so strangely... also, if he was confused, and had traumatic amnesia, he probably was scared, not knowing where he was or why. Thank you for your service MrBallen, and thank you for sharing your gift of storytelling with us all.
For those who see this comment have a wonderful day
YOU have a wonderful day!!!
Thankyou!
Your profile pic/image is hilarious 😂 nice!
Ok
No you.
It is so uncanny how similar Mr.Ballen looks like someone I know. Same age, same mannerisms, military too. Probably why I love these videos too, great personality!
I hope this don't sound silly but when I meet someone new or a stranger they always say to me things like...oh you remind me of someone, oh your smile reminds me of someone, do I know you already etc... And they always seem to have a natural trust of me. Sounds silly but your comment just made me think of that. Anyway take care ✌️
Sounds like you gotta make the ballen doppelgänger your boyfriend. Sounds like you’re smitten lol get itttttt.
@@asil7528 haha nice try, MrBallen doppelgänger.
There's a b movie actor who looks and talks exactly like me and it creeps my family and friends out big time.
Parts of this story remind me alot of an out of state trucker who was my patient in our ER. His behavior including dress and driving and conversation was very bizarre.
We were able to figure out he had had a stroke. Parts of his truck route he was able to just do automatically. But other activities such as driving down the road the wrong way, which got the attention of the police and then exiting the truck when asked too, with one foot bare and the other having a sock and shoe on got him to the ER.
They were able to pinpoint stroke time by looking at his driving log. It was meticulous and then just became a jumbled mess.
This is the first MrBallen story I’ve watched with has less then 1M views! And I have been binging since I found the channel, a few weeks ago
One hell of a streak!
I can't thank you enough for the multiple uploads today, Mr. Ballen. I dare say you are my favorite RUclipsr; as in, you were the first channel I decided to actually subscribe to.
My cat had emergency surgery to have her eye removed yesterday. 😔
Your videos have always been a pleasure, as I am a fan of the strange, dark, and mysterious.....delivered in story format. 😆
Today however, they have brought me a tremendous comfort, and have helped the time pass with less worry, while caring for my fur-baby.
Thank you, Mr. Ballen. ❤
I hope your cat is doing well after surgery! I have 5 fur babies myself so I’m sending you love and prayers for your fur baby’s quick recovery!
@@mariadmendez7773 Thank you! She is recovering incredibly fast from surgery. We found out she has lymphoma, so we aren't out of the woods completely yet...but she is an absolute fighter and I refuse to give up on my tiny little warrior. 😊
I will add this to the list of things that happen in Delaware, the first state, birthplace of Aubrey plaza and my home state but this is why I don't go to Wilmington js. Insanely high murder rate, just not safe. Thank you MrBallen!
This guy deserves a lot of credit for what he has accomplished in life and his story telling ability. Thank you sir for all those things and your friend making ability. Stories are fun
My 12 year old son came over and watched some of these videos with me a few weeks ago. Now he's just as hooked as I am. Keep the creepy comin Mr Ballen, your channel deserves prime time
Saaaay what, 5 videos in a row. Win for all
I really respect how you remove the videos people ask about, definitely refreshing seeing a genuinely good RUclipsr. Thanks for doing great!
Thank you I needed that 💜💜💜
These 3 stories? Lol I've noticed that trend on a few of your single video submissions 😂 god bless bud, amazing content
Someone was following him and he didn't want to go home or talk to his wife in fear that his stalker was target her. He had to keep moving because the stalker could catch up to him, and he changed his outfit so his stalker wouldn't recognize him, but eventually his stalker caught up to him. (This is just a theory, not the actual story)
Yes boga
makes sense. One wonders what he got into. Work related?
@@paavobergmann4920 Possibly. It's been a while since I left this comment, so I haven't watched this in a while, but did it say he was well liked?
Why not ask for help?
So many unknowns:
* Was his car ever found?
* Was his briefcase ever found?
* Was his wallet ever found?
* Where did he change his clothes?
* Did he have an affair partner?
There's loads of case's like this one out there. The sad thing is we never know what happen to them. Some cases just don't have a ending.
Another great and brilliant video like always. 😉
These type of incidents where people become suddenly confused and seem to loose their minds are scary and just bizarre.
Sounds like the story of a reasonably powerful man who ran somehow afoul of somebody in DC and managed to dodge the black bag boogie for a couple days before his luck ran out..
