When the video title doesn't say "3 stories" and the entire time you think that the first nice guy who suffered from amnesia after a horrible accident is a demon psycho😂
Lmao 🤣
The whole time, I was waiting for a plot twist where the guy disappeared and changed his identity because he was a serial killer or something.
Hahaha
IKR!!! had me going for a moment lolol
SAME 😂
The first story, honestly, hear me out. His niece ruined his life. I understand needing to know, but he had a new family, an amazing job and was probably taking chemo for his eye. Then the niece had to bring everyone’s attention to him. He lost his family, he lost his job, and he definitely was beyond poor after the insurance company went after him so he wouldn’t be able to afford chemo. And he had amnesia the whole time. It would be different if he was an ass trying to get out of the first family. It’s sad. Truly
I agree 100000%
But he was an ass trying to get out of the first fam l ol
Yeah. I agree it's f'ed up he did that but like....girl he ran away for a reason. I was actually a little annoyed she kept insisting
Always a good idea to send a guy of whom you’re convinced has 3 evil demons lurking around inside home to hang with the fam for the night. Even if you didn’t think he was actually possessed, his violent attempts should have caused someone to notify police and at least separate him from the family until he was apparently safe.
Yeah that was a huge failure on the priests. They didn't take this sufficiently seriously
@@shawntcothey should’ve at least stayed at the church until they were done. They could’ve taken shifts to get some rest but what they did was knowingly send him back home with his wife and he acting as if he was still possessed. Or as the above comment suggested, call the authorities to have him placed under watch for a certain time. So you could say those priests were at fault also.
How was Marie speaking in tongues possible if she, too, wasn't possessed? It seems like a scam or trick more than a true possession. I tend to agree with the comment right below this one: 'Getting caught cheating then pretending that you're getting possessed by a demon is the funniest thing I've ever heard'. Not buying that he was actually possessed.
@@ItsNeverAManequin The more I think about it, the more your comment makes sense. He probably got caught and you know what it’s like when a man gets caught, they get angry. And so he just decided to act like he was possessed trying to make it seem as though it wasn’t him that was doing it but the demons inside of him making him do it. Idc how he acted, he wouldn’t have been coming home to me especially after claiming he was filled with demons. Nope, you and that teacher who was also acting as if she was possessed, y’all go on back to her place and figure it out.
@@ItsNeverAManequintheres the bibilical tongues of the bible, and then blasphemous words of different languages that demons will speak when manifesting through someone which will sound like tongues.
Almost sad that Larry's relatives found him. It sounds like he did much better as Fritz than he did as Larry.
I agree. I wonder if he willed his mind into it.
He was'nt happy and i thought he used that storm to fake his Death. But he so strongly believed that he was Fritz and he even had created memorys of a childhood he never had.
The mind is a Strange thing, maybe he was able to erase and create a new life all by himself?
@@anyathepanther7977 maybe the storm caused him to have severe head trauma? I just don’t know
@@IbrahimK2009 yeah since the boat had damaged my guess is he got injured while on the boat during the storm.
As someone who suffered from depression, i can say the mind does things to cope with trauma. In short, since his life was so bad, his mind had created a "safe place" where everything did go right. Every situation is different, but perhaps his safe place had a different name and lifestyle. These thoughts dont just occure, they can span from childhood to present day. Which would explain why he remembered childhood memories. He probably did hit his head during the accident, and when he woke up his "safe place" memories went from coping thoughts to being real to him. I suffered from this coping method, only i never took those thoughts real.
It was pretty sad for everyone all round.
The knowledge that it's possible to literally scare yourself to death is scarier than whatever it is you're scared of.

Stupid boyfriend.
not really cos it's under my control.
What if I’m scared to death of the fact that I’m so scared of sharks, that I may be literally scared to death if I see one.
#2 is why there should ALWAYS be a call and response procedure to verify safety. Especially when you're dealing with people that may not have done anything like that before. Repelling, zip lining, climbing, bungee jumping, and everything else similar are supposed to have a call and response before action.
Exactly! I hope her boyfriend or family sued this particular Bungee Jumping outfit. It makes zero sense how they would just say 'jump' without confirming they are talking to the right person. Even saying 'Yecenia, jump' or her boyfriend's name and 'jump' would be better. I understand Yecenia was panicking but even if she wasn't she may have made the same error. it's not her fault, it's theirs.
@@ItsNeverAManequin women and accountability... tell me, why do you never take accountability for your actions? Just ONCE, man... LMFAOOOOOOOOOO
@@albanian2902this has nothing to do with man or women, and you’re disgusting for saying that. Accountability is necessary, and they shouldn’t sue because of her own contribution to the mistake. Just like You need to take accountability for being a gross human being.

@@ItsNeverAManequin Huh? I did not say you said it. I said it. Take accountability for your actions. As simple as that. It's not anybody's fault but her's. How can you argue with that?
I live very close to the church where they did the “exorcism”. The general opinion of the locals is that the guy had lost his mind from the chronic pain and stress. The priests put him through all those hours of torture which just sent him over the edge.
I’m confused how “Fritz” would have gotten documentation saying who he was in order to get that job in Omaha. Sounds more to me like he ran from his life & had a second identity created.
doesn’t explain why he would consent to being finger printed though
I know it can be confusing to how Fritz got documentation to start a new life but this took place in the late '60s so a lot of that kind of stuff was a lot easier to get. There was no Home or business computers, time when a lot of stuff was done on paper a phone call or fax or something so it was easy to start a new life in a sense. Computers and other technology is what really made it easy to track people and make that stuff harder Plus I think it's like regulations of the federal government states working more together.
@@minnesota_fats7344 yes but why did he think he was Fritz and did he just walk to the DMV one day with his wet clothes and go "I need a new I.D my name is Fritz and they were like " okay Fritz of you say so, here is your I.D and social security card have a nice day with your new name" like wtf lol
Honestly something had to happen during the storm like he probably was thrown and probably hit his head In away he came up with a new identity
@UCr0AL37NuZJJHrwRsQQ65Dg pretending he was “as confused as everyone else literally ruined his new life”. Not getting that finger print would have been better for him no matter what backlash he got.
I find it hard to believe Larry's boat simultaneously capsized in a storm and then he gets amnesia, but is able to produce papers showing his new identity a few days later. It seems more likely he wanted a new life, and just refused to admit who he really was 8 years later.
That's what I thought too and I think that more than likely the psychological methods we had to determine fugue states were greatly decreased at that time
But honestly I was just glad that he found happiness somewhere and it seemed like even if his wife and kids were able to find happiness after his disappearance in some way shape or form... it seems like his "discovery" brought more pain than anyting
Seems like he had been planning on it for awhile
That’s what I thought too .. maybe he went fishing with a man with that name ? Who knows lol
are use all forgetting he agreed to go to the police station to be identified ,y would he do sutch if he new he had left his old life
Story #2 is heartbreaking. 😔
The Larry Bader story is unbelievable. Bro's entire life got ruined because his pre-amnesia family didn't want to mind their own.
I know! The 1st wife got insurance money and he did better in his 2nd life.
Because legally he was already married. Simple as that. All he had to do was divorce. And I've never heard of that kind of amnesia. He could have been faking it all along.
@@moonspun4evr divorce and be in poverty, the family enjoyed millions. He should have not shown up the second day and take a break on that activity for a while until they ignored him

larry’s case could just be a very rare coincidence where their fingerprints matched and they looked identical or it could be that lightning struck larry, causing the amnesia
i really appreciate that you explain things, like bungie jumping, which i would assume everyone knows what that is. but you explain it anyway in a way that anyone would understand so that you make sure everyone understands
The bungee jumping story is a perfect example of "listen to your gut feeling!"
Very sad story
My mom was supposed to go sky diving with a friend in college, but she chickened out at the very last minute. She was supposed to tandem jump with the instructor. The guy who went in her place, and the instructor died after both of their parachutes failed. In conclusion, you are so right.
💯 Soooo true! Usually your gut feeling is almost always right. I was always taught to listen to that & I've told my kids the same. That bungee jumping story is so sad & super scary.
When I was young my oldest cousin (19 at the time) went to Canada for a fun night with friends. (Living in Michigan, only like 20-25 mins away-- it's almost a right of passage to go drinking in Canada since the legal drinking age is 19.) Sadly, her friend that drove had no business driving. My cousin, seated behind the driver, passed away on impact from getting crushed between seats. Even though it's been many years I can still remember what one of her best friends said at the funeral. I guess my cousin had begged her to come out with them that night. She was in college & busy studying, so she declined. I guess being persistent my cousin & friends stopped at her house on the way for one last begging attempt. She didn't end up going & she said it wasn't so much the studying keeping her home, but a terrible gut feeling. She was beside herself at the funeral & kept repeating how she KNEW something bad was gonna happen.😢 So, to make a long story even longer, lol, ALWAYS listen to your gut people!!!!
Agree with you 💯%

Now I don't wanna blame the guy for her death but he could just said ok we can come some other time when it will not be as busy. Again its not his fault, it's company fault for poor safety measures in first place.
@Sunshine&Sunflowers...my feelings exactly. Mr. B's stories almost always deeply affect me but most of it is the never-sleeping-again kind.... like HIS OWN ghost story... but some of them make me hurt and occupy my thoughts the rest of the night and this was one of them.
Actually, in the Story of Larry Bater, there is this effect called a, "Confabulation". A confabulation, basically, happens, when your brain tries to recall something, like a memory, draws a blank and then just decides to produce something that fits the bill. Happens a lot in dementia cases, especially early ones, but also to people with ADHD. Our brain is quite apt in doing so and, for some, this ability is the core reason we can be creative.
As someone with ADHD and a terrible memory this is very concerning news
I know, right?!

Larry must have went into a portal and Fritz must have came out.
The most reasonable explanation for his "amnesia" is probably that they were doppelgangers

I know Yesenia's accident was a freak accident, but freak accidents are why safety practices exist. They shouldn't put anything on you at all until everything is connected first. And people shouldn't be able to jump without a staff member clearing them. And they shouldn't have two people up there at the same time if they aren't ready at the same time and the verbal communication isn't totally clear with two-way understanding confirmed. ANYONE could misunderstand when a staffer says "ok jump!" to someone else, that is WAY too broad to say at a BUNGEE JUMPING business
I'm so sorry for her boyfriend, you can never stop seeing something like that
Like they should have the staff place a hand on her shoulder, and then when she's truly cleared for jumping, give it a slap and there'd surely be no mistake that it's a signal to jump.

As for the first story, I remember this happening back in my day. Apparently the psychologists performed very interesting tests on Larry, one of which involved a method which, to this day, is highly controversial. They put him in a room with a firepit, a tent and a flashlight. A doctor would then knock on the door, slowly peak his head in and ask "Do you know how to get to Bell's Canyon?"

I think what makes Mr. Ballen an effective storyteller is that he is not trying to be dramatic with scary voices etc. He is just a guy speaking to us in the same tone he would describe something normal, like what happened on the way to the grocery store. It lends his stories a sincerity and realism you don't find in other scary storyteller channels.
I fully agree. It will turn me off a channel very quickly if there is a goofy dramatic voice when there are such heavy real events at play. Some things deserve respect when spoken about and it feels like Mr. Ballen gets that.
Thanks!!!

But there's no way he just 'accidentally' got paperwork under this fake name. That had to have been an intentional act.

I have been watching my ballen for about two years now and me and friend started watching him every morning and afternoon on the bus before school and we love you
I found Mr. Ballen last year while confined to the bed after a near fatal motorcycle accident. He definitely helped pull me through that tough time. Thanks man!
Hope you’re doing better now!!
Hopefully you made a full recovery :)

Little bit of a different story but same result!
Praying you had a complete recovery. MrBallen has been uplifting for many of us❤️
Based on the fact that he had the "paperwork" saying he was, in fact, John Johnson as soon as he got to Oklahoma makes me think his entire story is bogus and he knew exactly what he was doing the whole time. I'm not too sure I'm buying the "amnesia theory." When someone gets into an accident and loses their memory to amnesia, they aren't going to have another identity ready to go within a couple of days and/or weeks. Sounds to me like he was just embarrassed to admit that he walked out on his former life by faking his own death.
That is a good theory 🙌 interesting
🤔
I was thinking that too like how tf did he come up with fake paperwork if it wasn't planned already
But there were doctors claimed and proved that he had amnesia.

I'm from Colombia and got very excited when you mentioned Amagá which is pretty close to y home town. That bridge is very popular and people go on hikes to cross it all the time.
That first story, what a terrible thing all round. I feel so sorry for Larry/Fritz and his wives and children. He did nothing wrong and his whole life exploded twice (although he was oblivious to the first one)
His wives must have been distraught and then the poor man dies of cancer before he can ever get answers and resolution. So sad
When you tried listening to others also doing this type of content, you will appreciate mrBallen more. The way he tells the story, it's so emphatic and free of judgement even though some of the featured people on the stories are downright deserving hate or sometimes mockery. He is very respectful. Yeah and you would think they would be more specific because people like her do panic, like hold onto the person and say okay “name” you go. Or have multiple people working to get people ready at the same time just incase of an early jumper.

I assumed that Larry Bader deliberately went missing so he could start a new life, and perhaps so his wife and kids could collect the insurance money. The amnesia story is plausible, but the question remains... how did he suddenly show up in Nebraska with "Fritz Johnson" documentation??
Planned on faking his death in the storm which ended up being way stronger than expected. When he woke up maybe all he knew was that he was John Johnson. The real question is how does anyone assume the name of John Johnson? It sounds almost made up

The bungee jumping story is one of the scariest things I’ve ever heard 😟 it’s OK to not do certain things, our fear is there for a reason.
@@jasonstateman9093 how many times did her fear tell her to turn around while she waited in line? Or not to go in the first place? There is no reason to bungee jump if you don’t want. Too much silly pressure to swallow your fear. I’m afraid of heights and when my brother and sister bungee jumped and tried to pressure me, I told them fkn kick rocks 🤣I get that too much fear in some situations can be bad as it is in most, but it’s also helpful too to avoid unnecessary stressful situations. I mean c’mon dude you’re watching Mr Ballen, how much would paying attention to fear save so many folks from meeting an unfortunate end?
@@autrythegood and how many walk right into their death because of a fear response? She did. Using the show is not the best cross section of examples XD
You were right to tell your friends to kick rocks, peer pressure is not a good thing since it tries to disregard that spur of the moment risk assessment and even autonomy of the target. However there is something to conquering a fear that can remove associated blocks, but I'm sure as any professional therapist would advise though *never when it's an acute phobia so powerful it can induce a myocardial infarction.* She was a story in knowing and accepting ones limits.
@@UlshaRS I agree with some of your point, but I definitely still believe that fear is more helpful than harmful and its innateness has allowed humans to survive. And accepting one’s limitations would also have been her listening to her instincts (fear) that told her not to go. But yes, too much of anything is bad. I wouldn’t let my fear of heights stop me from getting on a plane to travel because that’d be allowing my fear to control me IMO but thrill seeking - Never. And what comes to mind from MrBallen is all those scuba diving stories where people pass numerous warning to turn around if they’re not a professional, noting others have died and stating that the trip isn’t worth death, but they push on and perish tragically. And I can’t help but think if they listened to that fear response when reading those signs that most of them would have turned around and saved their own lives.
Eeeeeeeyyy wait a minute what kind of a wich is affraid of flying?!?! Good wich i guess🤷🏻♂️
Yeah, agreed! That poor girl. That's so sad. I've been asked to go bungee jumping before, & I laughed out loud in response. No way. These sorts of accidents are a lot more common than is generally known.
Some people may disconnect from whom they are or were. Maybe he thought his life as Larry was not his true self and he wanted to escape that. The human mind is a wild thing, it is common for people to block out past memories to forget and be free from the stress and anxiety that life had brought before.
The storms on the Great Lakes are never a laughing matter and storm warnings there only ignored at your own peril.

Damn, that bungee jumping story is so terrifying! The fact that she had a heart attack before hitting the ground. . .she must have experienced an emotion so horrifying
I know right? I like to think it's a defence mechanism from the brain though, there's no way to prove it but maybe she didn't consciously know what was happening but her brain subconsciously hit the "self-destruct button" so to speak before hitting the ground to spare her the pain from impact. Completely preventable too. What kind of bungee jumping place has people jumping without making sure the jump area is clear? It shouldn't have been possible for someone to make that mistake
I hear that hospitals always appoint an arrival-by-ambulance a "DOA" (dead on arrival) to avoid lawsuits. Maybe this is one of those cases. Instead of her dying from the fall, she "died before impact" which probably released the bungi jumping company from any liability.
