How absolutely weird, and of course horribly tragic, that the only two fatalities from that irresponsible ride down the Luge canal were the two identical twins in the group of friends ! My heart goes out to the boy's parents and family - one cannot fathom their terrible loss.
*Bf sees gf approaching his house. Runs away to friend's house*
Sounds like a great relationship.
Ex-boyfriend...he said they were estranged
That detail as well as Jackie's incredibly psychotic decision to break into his house (I know she was drunk, but drunkeness does not MAKE you do anything you were not already prone to doing, maybe just more easily and recklessly) leads me to believe Jackie must have been a very controlling and imposing person. It's not unreasonable to suspect that she was the forceful and aggressive one in the relationship.

Ditto. When he said “Trinidad and Tobago” I was like “wait, what?!”
Then I realised I was familiar with this story, though I didn’t know some of the details.
The last story is a perfect distinction between wisdom and intelligence.
And what inebriating substances will do to them
i like how he doesnt say "john dies instantly" he uses "ceases to exist"
I mean, he literally get’s *disintegrated* by a jet engine so he just goes bye bye.
He became mist
LOL
He transcended human form with a bit of help.
Eviscerated
Second story, literally gasped hearing they were brothers, absolutely devastating and freaky even for a freak accident.
Right!? Out of all of the boys it was the twins and they were right beside each other! Their poor family
There was a freak accident in my state where 3 brothers who were all grown men died together at their own property...another guy who went to help him died as well. I'm not so sure of the details but they went inside the water tanky and ran out of oxygen or something. Truly horrifying..
Final destination is REAL
15:55 Honestly, as grim as it was, that made me think of Andy and Olly from Bobs Burgers. Together in the end, twin brotherly bond is strong.
Gasped? We're you not using your eyes? Took longer for him to say that than it did to SEE they had the same face. Same as daddy smile pants
Regarding the 3rd story... I remember when this happened and I have NEVER forgotten it. She was actually a close friend of mines family doctor. Anyway, she did cry for help but because of her low air capacity and how far down in the chimney she was, her few cries were very faint. It was so bizarre and needless and tragic. Her boyfriend as I believe it was told, was to leave on a trip out of the country was avoiding her because he really didn't want to deal with her anymore. She was inebriated and maybe even stocking him. But my friend said she was a good doctor and well liked by her patients. It's such a tragic way to go... Sadly, she did this to herself.
Nearly everything you stated was already said in the video, so don't know why you repeated it here. The only thing different you stated, was your theory about Jackie being a stalker & that being the reason William left the country.
This explains why he fled his own house. I thought that part was a suspiciously conveniently reason for not helping someone stuck in the chimney but if were a potentially dangerous stalker that would make sense. Otherwise why flee instead of just not answer the door
The last story really freaked me out as I’m claustrophobic. I can’t imagine the fear she must have experienced.
If only we were all as determined as John. He shows that anything is possible if you are completely out of your mind.

@@heyitsshay6058 or... Go look? Idk. I would beat myself up pretty bad for the rest of my life if I heard someone calling for help and then dismissed it, only to find out later I might've helped
Seems like you haven't lived in areas with kids. Considering kids yelling happens everywhere everyday, and geniuses getting themselves stuck in chimneys nearly never happens, they made the correct assumption
@@einsp227 I grew up in the boonies. When I bought a house in the city, my friends threw me a housewarming party. The next morning around 7am I was awoken by the sound of a child screaming and screaming from one of my (as yet unmet) back yard neighbours. I run from my house barefoot in only a pair of boxers, vault my fence and am about to vault my neighbours fence.
I stopped a meter or two short when I saw my neighbour's little girl happily playing in her back yard. Apparently her "I'm having fun" sound is similar to most other kids "I've fallen and broken all my limbs" sound.
That's when I take stock of the situation. I'm a stranger here, and I've just vaulted a fence nearly nude and am now running at a small child.
To this day, I don't know/pray none of my neighbours saw me.
I don't even wanna know how you can take someone with an I.Q. of 170+, add a little alcohol (okay, maybe even a lot of alcohol lol).....& end up with them making SUCH a drastically dangerous decision (like climbing into a chimney). Her death must've been unbelievably scary to go through 😓
The fact that he tells the story in such a way that its so elaborate and it feels like being there ..
The first story is just bonkers, like literally, *"Naked man climbs 2 fences and an unclimbable concrete wall, overpowers 4 security guards, steals their vehicle and then disappears infront of like 100 people then comes back but then ceases to exist after jumping in a jet engine"*
This story a lil sus , the description of the police sounds real heh. The pic is from an African flight. Great narration as usual .

PCP, or Angel dust, is a helluva drug. People do the impossible (and unthinkable) on that shit.
“The neighbors heard someone yelling HELP but they figured it was just kids in a pool” 🤔🤔🤔 wouldn’t that make you wanna investigate a little more than? Lol
If you've ever lived next to kids who frequently (and loudly) play outside, you'd understand how counterintuitively dismissive one can become about kids yelling "help!"
@@kingayy9267 not a day goes by where there isn't a kid outside my window screaming like they're being disemboweled

Ok, that sled story tore me up. I was literally tensed up praying that what happened wouldn't happen & it did. So sad. Poor kids, they were just being teenagers 😢
That's a terrible way to go but it's hard to feel sad for Jacque, she was clearly deranged and made that man miserable and she ended up rationalizing that breaking into his own home to continue harassing him was an acceptable thing to do. Clearly, genius doesn't cure stupidity or inconsideration.
Doesn't matter. Either pass your condolences or gtfo.......

I have to take a break from listening to this show. He has become my internal dialog throughout the day. For example, I was out for a run this morning, I took a wrong turn and almost decided to keep going then in the back of my mind I heard in his voice " she thought it was safe to push through, but little did she know that....." Then the other day I had to check under all the beds because I had left the door unlocked for maybe 1 minute. In the back of my mind I imagined him saying "even though her door was unlocked for only a minute, he managed to get in...".

@@nikkili11 Good point! And most likely they had almost identical personalities as well, which is why they both may have insisted on sitting at the front of their respective sled

@@pierresauce8307 Haha, after having watched SUCH an ridiculous amount of strange, dark and mysterious MrBallen-videos (delivered in story-format), I'm not sure which one of these two explanations would be more reasonable... ^^
As a carpenter who is familiar with tearing down & bulilding chimneys, as well as having roofed hundreds of houses, so working around them... I don't buy for a second that the chimney dimensions shrunk the further she went down into it. Residental house chimney flues almost always remain the same bottom to top, but when they do change in dimensions, they shrink as they go up, not down.
8:01 I know that it's very dark story, but this line always manages to make me laugh lol
I studied with some incredibly gifted people in college. One of the main things I learned during that time was that no matter how gifted you may be, it does not mean that you are imbued with common sense.
Because common sense is not so common…
Absolutely. You can have all the intelligence in the world but have zero common sense. Ppl need common sense!
Mike Judge based his characters Beavis and Butthead on 2 of his classmates in high school who happened to be the class geniuses. They both had slightly sociopathic tendencies and would laugh like that all the time.
Matters of the heart can over ride good sense.

Lessons from Ballen:
-Never go in a chimney
-Never go cave diving
-Never go in any cramped spaces actually
Never go camping in a National Park either! 😄
Never do anything!
Don't leave your kids in a car for more than 2 seconds, even if the car is locked.
Don't go into any industrial ovens, even if they're turned off.
Don't put your hand on the stove it could be hot
When I saw that thumbnail my mind said:"yeah did the unthinkable by twerking on a moving plane"😂
I cannot believe the chimney story 😭 I’m so claustrophobic that it made me absolutely freak out 😭
I know a lot of people always think “no, this couldn’t happen to me. That’s just a TV or someone goofing off” but, please, if you hear someone calling out for help take their pleas seriously. Worst case scenario is you’ve waisted a few minutes of your time looking into a false alarm, but it’s more than possible that you’re the one thing standing between someone being saved and certain death. Don’t ever ignore a cry for help
I'd add to that that if you feel at all in danger yourself you should call emergency services and wait, or get someplace safe yourself. There are too many stories of people trying to help someone they thought needed it, but discovered it was a trap.
So don't ignore, but use your best judgement and always call for professional assistance.
Worst case scenario is its a trap and you end up the one in danger. Be careful
That's so true, I have never ever heard a cry for help, so to hear one it would immediately send a red flag... And my brain won't jump into action..
Yeah. Don't put yourself in a dangerous situation to help someone screaming for help. Call police.
@@RM-jb1wo that's why you should never, ever, go into a forest, canyon, anywhere in "nature" that is far from civilization, without being armed. Humans are not the only dangers in the woods. I am obsessed with your channel. The way you tell a story, even ones I've heard 100s of times before, you make anyone listening feel as if they were right there. And tbh, it's terrifying at times. Lol. I'm a fairly small woman. Growing up I never got more than 100 pounds and I'm 5'4. So being I was the smallest pretty much anytime anywhere.. I often found myself being volunteered to climb thru small windows or openings to retrieve keys from homes and even thru sunroofs of a car a time or two. But nothing compares to the time my biggest brother and I were left to babysit my 7 months old sister and long story short we got locked out. Instead of calling my mom we decided instead of breaking a window or trying to pry open the doors, we thought I would fit down the chimney.... I did. But it got smaller and smaller and I started to panic until I was completely fucking stuck. My brother called 911 and they send fire fighters to come and get me out by dropping a rope down so I could grab it. I had to straighten my body out as straight as possible and suck in as far as I could and use my shoes rubber bottoms to keep myself from slipping deeper into the chimney. I luckily got out obviously with just a few scratches and bruises. But the fear from that experience has left me with severe claustrophobia. If at any time I'm in a space small enough that I can reach out and touch the walls around me I will start to have a panic attack. So needless to say Jackie's story was just about to much for me to handle lol.
My twin sister sent this to me. We are from Bakersfield. I listen to you when I’m going to sleep and she listens to you while she’s at work. Then we call each other everyday to discuss the stories you tell. You’re awesome.
The twins in the luge story went to my school, and one of them (Jordan) was very involved in student council and school events. He made it a point to talk to everyone and make them feel welcome, which was a really big thing for me when I was in 5th grade and new to the campus and he'd take time out of his day to show me around and introduce me to people so I could have friends. We mourned for two weeks after it happened, and to this day have a memorial for them in the school that people visit very often, especially on the anniversary of their deaths. They're still missed

Kids crying out for help is more alarming you’d think! If they just called 9/11 incase it could have saved her life… So sad.
Genius iq btw 🤦♂️
@@Picachki I don't think it could have if u consider the fact that she died soon after they heard that, so if they were to call 911 it could take a while to locate the source, adding the amount of time it took to free Jaque even when she was deceased means she could have very well died either way
Kids, and people, can yell help for lots of reasons, not just cause they're in danger
And no person, police or citizen would would ever think, "ahh yes, lets check this one random chimney"
Maybe the police come, check out the neighborhood and find 0 people were yelling, maybe they enter the house that didn't answer, I still don't think they'd hear her after hours of scouting, interviewing and finally entering the home.
She had restricted movement so can't bang the sides, and little air in her lungs to be able to make a sound.
And IF they heard something from the chimney, they'd think it was an animal and dismiss it for sure

Your storytelling is so good it's starting to eff with my head. I keep thinking, "am I going to end up a story for Mr. Ballen." I wonder what happened to John to make him lose it. The story about the twins is devastating but the family and friend's faith (seen on another video) carried them through. As far as Jackie goes. Alcohol can turn a genius into a statistic if we consume too much. I'm no genius but I definitely have been the fool. God rest all of them.

Don't you just love those people that hear something like "help" over and over but do nothing about it?
Not as much as the moron who literally CLIMBED INTO A CHIMNEY.
Better question: those people could hear it, but the bf didn't notice it for a whole day? I can't imagine the woman remained silent exactly when the guy was so close to him. Somethin' somethin' sus

My guess for the first story, INSTANTLY after hearing of this "health issue", was that it must have been schizophrenia. I've worked with people with severe mental health issues for 6 years. This has all the hall marks of a psychotic episode. Schizophrenia is such a cruel illness, because it sentences the sufferer with a lifetime of fear, isolation and misery. I can only shed a tear for John, and hope that he is resting in peace.
I can't divulge personal info, obviously, but some of the things I've seen have had us scratching our heads as to how it was possible that such feats of strength and just effort the things took to achieve.. During such psychosis, I believe that parts of the brain are active that we just don't understand.
that could be possible, we don't have medicines like that to be purchased without a prescription from a doctor
Yeah, it could have been any of a number of schizoaffective disorders. Maybe even a particularly intense mania in bipolar. Either way, no pharmacy in any country hands out atypical antipsychotics or lithium over the counter.
Yes it's a horrible illness.
That story was hilarious

Mr. Ballen: The friends went down the luge track, thought it was great, did it twice more then said “hey, let’s not press our luck”. Left and went home.

Mr. Ballen: Then they came back with more friends.

It’s so disturbing. Makes me realize that I’m claustrophobic.

“He makes his way over to the fireplace”… I’ve seen enough MrBallen horror stories to immediately know what awful poor decision has been made.
I can’t imagine the horror a parent must feel when they’re told that their twin sons were both decapitated and dead
Man said “ Decapitated and dead “ u didn’t have to put “and dead “ that kind of goes hand in hand with decapitation 😭😭😭
As a kid, I had these 2 identical twin friends named trevor and travis. One day they got in a horrible car accident (they were 12 at the time), and everyone but Trevor, only got minor - moderate injuries. Trevor died on impact.
I feel so bad for the parents, and especially Travis. I bet Travis felt like a part of himself died in that accident. When I was 11, I was at my OTHER twin friend's house,(Erik and Andrew), and their mom suddenly collapsed and died of a massive heart attack within minutes right in front of all of us. I can't get the disturbing noises she made out of my head to this day.

Crazy women are scary AF. I can understand why the guy booked it when Jackie approached his house!
There's something called cleithrophobia its the fear of getting stuck and I have been that way since I was a child. There is no way I'll ever go caving there's no way I'll do a lot of things I was terrified of elevators as a child cuz I was afraid of getting stuck I was terrified of amusement rides as a child cuz I was afraid they would get stuck like I would get stuck in the seat and it all stems from when I was about four or five I went to this girl's house and her bedroom door swelled and we couldn't get out I climbed out the window it was on the ground level but I was freaking all the way out and I'm 36 and I still don't like the idea of getting trapped.
It happened to a 14 yr old boy December 2019 in a snowy part of the US. He went missing following a row with his dad or step-dad. He was missing for a few days. Police were searching everywhere for him, then searched an empty house opposite to where he lived and when they went inside, they found his coat on the floor near the vent of a blocked up chimney. He had climbed a mast outside the house, climbed onto the roof and down the chimney. He got trapped in the flue and died due to the constriction on his chest. It was heartbreaking 😢
I live in Calgary and remember hearing vague details about the luge accident story, but very little details were released in the news as far as I can recall, I mostly just remember the news saying that two boys were killed in some kind of accident at COP, and a few others were injured. I never knew that they snuck into the park to go luging, and definitely didn't know that the two who died were twins who were decapitated by a metal chain...
I’ve heard that story of Jackie on another channel, gotta say you made the story much more engaging
Never knew just how unbelievably dangerous killer chimneys were until I started watching these videos.
We need chimney control legislation now!
We need an assualt chimney ban 😜
Nobody ever talks about chimneys and how dangerous they are. All you think happens is you fall down and get dirty. After all, that's how Santa and all the burglars get in.
Chimneys are actually pretty dangerous, especially if not properly maintained
Plus falling in trash compactors, sliding down a vent that also narrows, and so on. It certainly makes us more aware or assessing the dangers & making rational decisions before we explore an abandoned structure, an old mining cave & so on. MrBallin's stories teach us whilst enthralling us with his excellent storytelling skills.
Intelligence does not equal wisdom.
Never has that statement been so tragically true.

Most people find the silver lining in the position of the twins' bodies, but I find it in the fact that neither ever knew the other was dead. I can only imagine the amount of grief from losing a lifelong twin.

Something similar happened where I live many years ago. A man tried to burglarize a vacant house by going in the chimney and got stuck and died in there. Apparently his feet were visible dangling out of the chimney in the house, but the realtor who went in there and saw it (before any odor started) thought it was a prank left by the previous owners. Eventually the smell proved otherwise. They had to take the whole wall over the chimney out to remove him. Afterwards neighbors in the area said they thought they had heard faint cries for help a few days before, but couldn’t figure out where they were coming from.
Find the story of the guy who got stuck upside down in a cave. Horrible way to go.
