☠︎ Found the secret easter egg in today's video? Be the 1st to comment what it is and where it occurs in the video, and you will get pinned!! ☠︎
If you go around this world with the idea that evil doesn’t exist, you’re in for a rude, rude awakening.
Sadly 🥲
Yes, that is true, but being too aware of the possibilities will keep you locked in your house, afraid to leave.
Yup, delusional thinking like this are why leftists exist.
Kinda goes to show that however awful one thinks the "Corporate rat race" is, there are tons of other places to show you it can be much, much worse.
👍
“Evil is a made-up concept.”
Clearly they didn’t have much exposure to the strange dark and mysterious told in a story format.
That was awesome. Lol
LMFAO!
Classic!!!
I see what you did there.):
Haha very good
"Evil is a made up concept"
Yes, it was made up to explain the awful way that some people behave.
"Evil is a made up concept" has got to be the stupidest statement I've ever heard.
This specific video started playing, and from across the room my husband goes, “Is that the guy that’s mean to the like button?” 😂😂 I’ve lost it.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 cute
😂😂😂
, 🤣
Brilliant!
😂😂😂
Just goes to show that you may meet a million good people, but it only takes 1 bad person to take your life.
Yeah and that’s the saddest part.
Or five
That’s a good motto actually. It’s not the good and kind you need to watch out for, it’s that one nutcase
SO VERY TRUE!
Except for every million people, there are only a couple thousand that are truly nice at their core. Others will fake it, the majority don't care about you and will walk past cause your not their problem, and a couple hundred are out to cause others harm. But your point is well taken, all of what I said doesn't matter. It's the bad apple that will end it all.
I heard this story before. They specifically set out to prove that even terrorist-run and extremist parts of the world are still filled with good people. Absolutely naive and reckless. I feel like a teenager would know better
There are good people here. But the terrorists and extremists are the reason why many of the good people are running away in million from this part of the world. No guaranteed safety. Extremist groups are safe haven for people with extreme sociopathic and psychopathic tendencies and if a region is there stay far away from there places. Its what people here do due to limited options
A teenager would know better. People get stupid in their 20's in a special kind of way 😂
@@nicoleowens2318I feel like teenagers would be of a similar level of stupid. I’m not sure what if any age is associated with greater smartness or common sense vs it being an individual thing.
It was probably those eight years in college on the east coast that did it.
"Evil is a made-up concept..."
Clearly these folks were not fans of the strange, dark, and mysterious delivered in story format...
Facts
This story reminds me of that old saying, "Just because you wouldn't bite the lion doesn't mean the lion won't bite you." These people were probably wonderfully kind people themselves and just forgot that not everyone was like them. Be careful out there people.
Not everyone is, but most are and many people are even nicer
So you shouldn’t keep your guard up?
@@bloopbloop9687 if you believe in good, you should believe in evil. Yin and Yang. If no body could not be evil you wouldn’t have murders. Then again good and evil is subjective. Meaning the person committing said acts might believe they are good or justice.
@@bloopbloop9687 you are so wrong. Idk where you have lived most of your life but I been down on the bottom with the people that struggle to pay bills and don’t want to work and almost every single one of these people would kill you for 20 bucks in a heart beat or beat you with an inch of your life if they ever caught you in a road alone and did not think anyone was watching. Keep that guard up and stay alive my friend. If you don’t believe me watch active self protection channel on here and see just what people are capable of it’s rather scary.
First time seeing that saying. Thank you I'll have to use it sometime.
You can’t go into countries like that thinking that everyone you encounter is going to be kind and loving people. Scenarios like this have played out all over the world. People need to do serious research into the places they intend to visit so they can avoid situations like this as much as possible. There are evil people all over the world that will kill you if given the opportunity.
YES, THIS! It made me cringe so hard during points of the video of how naive this couple actually were.
@Sean Brennan , Yep. Some people are too simpleminded to live.
I would never say someone is too simple minded or naive to live. I do however believe that in order to be a good person you must be aware of the evil that exists and educate yourself in order to help others and do good.
Evil is everywhere. They could've been cycling through Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and still be murdered.
@@jbzeigler So true. Our mass shootings in the US prove that.
I can almost guarantee that some of those "acts of kindness" were people wanting $ and the couple totally misunderstanding the gesture. I'm from Thailand, and it's kind of like an unspoken thing to do kind gestures, it's in the culture, but there is an expectation of reciprocation on some level. especially if they are poor.... and you are white (thus rich in their eyes). Its not because they want you to have the flowers they painstakingly farmed and picked for free.
yep, this has been my experience while traveling.
Absolutely
I read a book called, never be lied to again, I believe the Opening chapter made it very clear, Beware of those approaching with free gifts, so in this story who is actually the evil one's, misguided hatred for another group, or the one's hoping for a hand out?
Exactly.
if you keep accepting free gifts, one day you'll get a greek gift.
Once I started to feel really sick at the street, and I was carrying my luggage with me... I just felt that I'm going to faint, sat near some house and in several minutes a man from that house brought me the tea and a sandwich, he saw me from the window and decided to help... That man and his kindness to an absolute stranger was amazing
Someone in that same situation could have been spiked brought into his house raped and murdered, so where you to trusting by accepting this strangers tea? Did your mother as a child ever say don't take sweets from strangers, did you talk first before drinking the tea and this is what made you at ease to drink?
I was expecting getting into a stranger's van to be the wrong turn.
Ikr? I guess the better advice is "jump outta da way!"
Same.
Yeah i thought he was a psycho like that wolf creek guy, there are basque Terrorists in Spain and thought he kidnapped them.
Me too!!
Except Southern Spain, or any of Spain for that matter, isn't a terrorist hotspot

@@thepoggedchampion woah super deep
@@thepoggedchampion No, evil is evil, that's why Mr Ballen got a bunch load of Demonic haunting videos proving it's not only on the physical level but spiritual as well.
Marcus Unfortunately your right. One does not exist without the other. So if there is good there is also evil
@@empirical_blade6926 and you believe that? Hahaha oh grow up. People are only evil around because we are evil by default, just check how kids solve train track puzzle in fact concept of good and care is made up as all other social standards.
I've been to over 100 countries, yes most people are kind, welcoming and take pride in their country, but I would never believe evil doesn't exist, you do need to always keep your safety in focus. It doesn't surprise me with Spain, in fact was just there last month, or anywhere else in Europe, to help out a motorist or bikers. We had people giving us olive oil, cheese, sherry, etc. For the Tajikistan part of their journey, I wouldn't have biked near the Afghan border, in fact was in Tunisia at a time terrorists were kidnapping people that wandered near the Algerian border, so we made sure we didn't go near it. World travel is great and rewarding but you do need to seriously do your homework and not blindly travel, I would not necessarily even trust local tour operators for safety, their goal is money, again always educate yourself, you are your own best advocate.
You’ve been to a lot of countries!
Wow that is EXTENSIVE travel! I've only been to three countries other than my own. I found Korea to be absolutely beautiful, the churches, the palaces, the temples, all their little nature preserves and orchards... when I would run around on my own I felt fairly safe, but at the same time, my own soldiers were being threatened, a cab driver tried to assault one of my young female privates, and a female from a different base was abducted and trafficked to the DMZ, she escaped by being overwhelmingly violent. Evil is everywhere, and being prepared for it is part of what keeps us safe.
Agree with M G. A decade ago I visited a work friend in Nigeria when she was back there with fam and I was glad to have the experience; but she knew where to not go and we skipped a visit to her grandparents because it wasn't safe at that particular time of the year to drive that route.
Instead we headed north from Lagos to visit her cousin in the country; not without its problems -- and not without a driver (a good friend of her's) that knew the route.
not saying there are no dangerous places where I'm from. But I'd never had nailed logs thrown in front of my tires by blokes with assault rifles
f$○k!ng good roadside chicken though
@@avocado7947 Yea, that part of the world its wise to use a driver, not just for safety reasons but also the rampant corruption, the last thing you want if you were to self drive is to get in accident then shakendown for large sums of money. I haven't been to Nigeria but have been to nearby Benin, as well as Togo and Ghana and we did hire a vehicle with driver for the reasons I mentioned, and even then there were still attempts to shake us down at border crossings trying to claim we needed to pay more for visas that we already had gotten from the respective embassies prior to travel and stamped in our passports, but were able to fend those off with the help of the driver.
@@MG-ot2yrWe probably would not have been stopped at all if I'd stayed in the back seat like our driver *strongly* suggested and ducked down whenever approaching checkpoints. Young and naive I was. Driver went over to the guard shack, talked them down to 100 US dollars -- from whatever they had in mind.
You certainly have been around. This trip to Nigeria was my first time anywhere outside of my home country other than a couple times in Jamaica during college- humanitarian trip, last few days we enjoyed the coast. No real problems there. Well the roads were a bit rough lol.
It’s my thinking that kindness is harder to come by than is evil. Sad they discovered this too late

We could all use a little more kindness in our lives. Thank you Mr. Ballen!
"Evil is a made up concept." Exactly what evil wants you to believe.
Well said.
One of Satan’s biggest lies to the world.
I remember when this first popped up in the news. It blew my mind that they decided that evil was "made up." Showing positivity around the world is a really great goal, but you MUST be prepared for the wickedness of other humans, in addition to the natural hardships.
There were a few people who did this. They were trying to prove that "no culture is better than any other". Literally trying to prove that the hardcore Islamic culture is just as "good" as western culture. Yeah... it's not. Not all cultures are equal. Sorry if that bursts your bubble.
The people who went on these little crusades are the same people who pander endlessly to LGBT while supporting Islam unconditionally. Then when you ask them how that works with the whole throwing gays off of buildings, they just get mad and yell or walk away. They're also hysterical feminists but say absolutely nothing about the atrocities committed against women within Islam, as well as just in general in many places/cultures in Africa.
We've created this idea that if you believe that western culture is better than any other culture... you're a bigot. So if you believe that we might just be a far better place for anyone to live because we have a republic or a democracy depending where you're at, because women have equal rights, because LGBT people have rights, because we have freedom of speech and the right to protect ourselves from our own government, etc... then you're a monster. It's idiotic.
@@JSainte17 I agree with you for the most part, but I think the problem is more in the polarization. You're either liberal or conservative. White or black. Red or blue. Good or bad. But reality is far more complicated than a collection of simple dichotomies. Western culture today is having a really hard time grasping this. There are pros and cons to everything, and nothing is really perfect from any perspective.
As an example, the two countries I've lived in: the US and Japan. Very different cultures. In particular, in terms of freedom and social order. Probably as expected, the United States has a smaller government. This means if you make it big, the government doesn't interfere with your fortune as much. Great for people who've had great financial success. But the downside is the government doesn't take care of you that well when you're down on your luck. Less social welfare. The gap keeps opening, creates social tension, not to mention higher crime rates in poorer areas. In Japan, citizens are taxed more steeply and inheritance tax (the equivalent of estate tax), is made so that any wealth would be disappear in at most three generations of being passed down. Lots of redistribution. Not as bad being poor in Japan. However, this also means there's less incentive for the wildly successful to stay in Japan. The middle class is bigger, but there is also heavy regulation on weapons and drugs. Less freedom, more safety.
This got long, but when you start to see the world in good vs evil, smart vs stupid, right vs left etc., you lose track of the reality that everything is on much more of a spectrum.
These are the same type of people who believe women should be able to walk down the street in the middle of the night with no clothes on and nothing bad happen to them. Yes that would be nice if we lived in that type of world but we live in the real world.

Yeah. Postmodernism is a curse over the West, where evil is subjective and power is the objective. It’s led many people to be incredibly naive- speaking from personal experience. It’s better to be aware of evil- and evil people- than learn the hard way.
This reminds me of a conversation my mum had with a refugee from afghanistan. My mum is a little bit sheltered & naive, so she asked him if during his escape, he had seen any acts of kindness or selflessness or love. He just looked at her & said ‚people are wolves‘. Nope, it is innate in our flesh.. being good needs to be cultivated and nourished.
Definitely not.
Sadly it most definitely is not.
Thank you! Ridiculous statement...
I really dont understand how anyone could truly believe that Evil is a made-up concept.... it's easy to be evil, especially since there's very very different and varying levels evilness.... BUT, what is HARD is to be good, kind, humane, and compassionate, I could continue to name off different types of kindness but that is something you have to learn and be taught and to understand why you need to be kind and have kindness in your heart and apply every aspect of it to our daily lives.... and people in today's time more especially DO NOT HAVE KINDNESS IN THEIR HEARTS!!! So that's why the world and now since the last year and a half has taken light, people just want to use the evil that is true human nature that we as humans have called the higher levels of evil true evil, but the lower levels of it are just true human nature which we are born with and have to learn right from wrong to know not to do that or act in those certain manners but sadly people just dont have any compassion or true kindness in their hearts anymore and I'm mainly talking about a certain kind of people not EVERYONE, because there is (are) people that are desperately trying to stop those people from doing so many things that aren't kind, doesn't have any respect or care for authorities and so forth... but yah basically evil is something we are ALL born with in our hearts but only differing levels of extremes, and then "kindness-compassion-love-ect.." is something WE ALL as humans have to learn and be taught to know what it is, yes we do have to learn what evil is to but only what the definition of evil is mainly, but before you say that I'm lying about not knowing what true kindness is when we are born, yes we or most of us humans are born with a FORM of kindness but unlike the different types of evil we have to learn and be taught what is it, how to understand, and how to apply the true kindness to our lives as humans...
Man ever since I binged mr ballen ive had a different outlook on every creek I hear in my house 😭😂

As far back as in the time of Moses people were so evil he had the 10 commandments to make it clear these certain things are evil and something people shouldnt do. And its even older than that as Egyptians believed in Osiris who judged them prior to moving on in the after life based on their good or bad deeds. And heck probably even older than that xD
Those are the types that were never meant to live past childhood. Society keeps the inferior alive and they still end up meeting an early death due to bizarre thoughts and behavior. Natural selection. Nature's way of weeding the defective out of the population.
@@prawngravy18 That's the dumbest comment I read all day. Apparently, you aren't slated for a long life if you think that evil doesn't exist. People have preyed upon others since the beginning of mankind
I said this in another one of your videos and I'll say it again, it's such a bummer when people lead such good lives that they think they can travel the world and not encounter any problems.
"Evil is just a concept"
I never facepalmed this hard until i heard that
One of the most important lessons ever taught to me was on the imperative nature of trust and faith in the human condition, that despite the evils and insincerity that plague our species kindness is a virtue that defies all odds. The man who taught me this had been held at gun point, gotten in and out of fights his entire life, had paraphernalia planted on him by police, had numerous people go out of their way to ruin him, witness his roommate be killed by home invaders that were targeting him specific, and has been to more corners of the work than nearly any other person living. Still remaining resolute in creating a function of kindness.

I find that every time I was traveling in a foreign land. People were genuinely excited to talk to you. Willing and helpful. And they tend to look out for you. Something inside of humans know what it’s like to be far away from our “clan” and out of our normal environment. Also because of the seemingly brave nature to have picked up and rolled out into a far far way land. That by itself is commendable. Combined with showing people respect and respect for their culture and meat if life. That combination makes for a unique situation and as a result you will find unique people places kindness and adventures! Do not read my advice and get things confused. Packing a suitcase and buying tickets to Mexico for you and your girl for 1-2 or even 4 weeks. With a booked reservation at the Greingo hotel within the cinder block wall guarded by under paid local security guards.
That is not the same as my referenced adventures. Anyone can fly someplace and stay with all the people who speak your language and look like you!
But it’s a home different environment to travel like these by cycles
However let in be known that the George Bush administration coupled with the elite shadow government. Pretty much destroyed our reputation in certain parts of the world. It’s not like we had the best rep prior. But after 2003 and decades of stories after stories of American military blowing up villagers and destroying cities that now are unrecognizable. That tends to not sit well in the minds of the locals. No matter how many guns bombs and pallets of cash we leave them. They pretty much have a pretty good reason to not trust us or respect us.
Does not justify the killing of innocent people anywhere! That was the ignorant uneducated sandman who you got to keep an eye out for when riding a bike through their back yard.

Just another real lesson to be taken from these stories.. Most people are good, but never forget. Not all.
"Just because you wouldn't bite the lion, doesn't mean the lion wouldn't bite you".
Not even most people. I'd say only about a third of the people in this world are good people. One third are evil and another third are completely neutral. No, I don't know this for a fact, but it sure seems like it to me.
Actually, I think differently. Everyone was born evil. Evil is real and natural. The kindness is the made up concept that everyone needs to WORK for it.
@@nont18411 definitely disagree with that, its not evolutionary advantageous to be evil to not have empathy, exactly the opposite. We had better chances at survival in small hunter gather groups to work together to care for one another. Its literally built into our dna. Evil is the concept we discover and cultivate.
Very true.
Following all the descriptions of people that the couple met, Ballen: "In their final blog entry..."

Its just a sad truth. To many beliefs, hate, evil, or just plain bad people. Or good people making bad decisions. There is a lot of good and love too. Find love in yourself and that will help you and others. No need to travel for it. You will found the bad eventually. Sad it had to come to this for them. Always interesting to watch and well told story. Great video

@@romeosgenericchannel3971 well said! I was born, raised, and grew up in Orlando, Fl. Both of my parents were military brats and my father was in both the army and navy so I learned from a young age to always pay attention and it has not only help me in life, being 37yo now but my paying attention has helped quite a few others from something bad happening. That’s just city life though, I have family that live in the U.P. Of Michigan and when spring rolls around it’s not uncommon to see up to 5 pretty big black bears on the property and even on the porch, along with wolves, coyotes, fox, deer, etc... up there it’s not only look and listen. Smell goes quite a way up there as I can remember smelling a good size momma bear with 2 Cubs walking across the property heading right at me. I was alert and always of course stay calm, and made my way out of theirs and no problems ensued other then not finishing up cutting the yard and raking up all the dead leaves for a few hours.
So again, well said. An ounce of prevention or a pound of pain? It’s everyone’s choice and I know which I prefer.
Take care and thanks for the comment.
I'm sorry but there are places on this earth that people should avoid if they are not military or scientists. But I also have enough presence of mind to realize that not everyone would feel the same and not everyone has good intentions (yeah...I know that pretty well...but unlike these people I was also a defenseless kid when I found that out so at least I have an excuse...) and that me being the scrawny girl I am who can barely lift ten pounds for extensive periods of time (my physical strength is literally near non-existent, like I've met quite a few seven year olds who are stronger than me and I'm nineteen...) so I make sure to always keep my guard up so that I don't get myself into a dangerous situation.
Kind of wish more people were like me in that respect...
@@diamondseraph9369 regrettably we got those that are on the back of the herd and are always going to get picked off by the predators. I've personally never read or heard or met anyone who's never had any kind of bad experiences by the time they were like eight with other people whether it be their family or strangers. At least you're aware of your physical shortcomings and you try to counter act that with being cautious. That's generally what all the victims of serial killers and kidnappers are people that are weaker than them so they go for them but they don't want to keep it in their mind and be aware of the fact that they're weaker than others they want to think oh it's all right. Then we hear about how they found them months later in the woods and they're chopped up and dead or they've been kidnapped or they're missing because in this world you have to keep your head on a swivel you have to be aware of your surroundings at all time.

As someone who grew up in the Middle East I sometimes laugh at how naive and childlike some Westerners are. Even if terrorists don’t catch up with you, there are people in those areas who aren’t nice in the conventional sense because they’ve been through so much. There are jihadists and militants. There are those who have fought all their lives for their freedom and don’t look kindly on visitors. There are desperate groups who would take you hostage to get benefits from your government, and governments who suspect anyone from outside is a spy. Don’t go into these places without proper research and a large group that has the support of local officials.
If i lived their Id be a little peeved with westerners too!

I worked in Tajikistan with the state department, with families like mine.( families that have children with disabilities) I also hosted my now sister from Tajikistan. My house is wheelchair accessible.. I almost backed out cause it’s not a fancy house or anything & I was scared I’d be an awful host.. it was one of the best decisions of my life. I made a life long friendship. She lives on the border of Tajikistan and Afghanistan. There’s a river. Her teenage brother & his friends made a bet to swim across the river. But on the Afghanistan side, there are soldiers and you can’t be on that side, he couldn’t make the swim back and he’d drowned. That story always breaks my heart, the young folks didn’t understand how serious it was to not go near the border until they where in that situation.. Tajikistan is a country filled with wonderful people and lots of interesting culture. It’s heartbreaking these folks lost their lives as they where exploring wonderful people of the world.

Yes, 99% of humans ARE good. They will invite you into their homes and feed you. They will try to help despite the language barrier. But every human has a breaking point. Especially stay away from the Middle East. As an Infidel his life is worthless ( Allah will not punish them for abusing or killing a nonbeliever). and he can be traded for someone they want. I have been pick pocketed, mugged, caned for not being in a Burka, beaten, detained and raped. Maybe your Dad is super strong and thinks he can handle himself. Guns trump his abilities. No thing, person or place is worth his life. Go with careful planning, Security and an abundance of caution. Better still, watch David Attenborough movies, stream the great places, palaces, people and animals of the world at home. The Embassy can do absolutely NOTHING. Please read that again. Nothing. Criminals do not have our moral compass and do not shrink from violence. Please. Hasten slowly. Many countries can simply arrest you. The Police and system are corrupt. You won’t be given a trail, a lawyer, a day in court to defend yourself, you will be thrown in prison for months before even being told what is happening. These are not western democracies. Gangs do not care about the Geneva conventions or the UN. They want a million dollars and they want it now. You can read Thousands of stories online about this.
@@annieseaside Sorry about what happened to you. This is safe advice that needs to be read.
@@annieseaside Oh, I am so sorry. It’s leaves me beyond disheartened & frustrated knowing what you must have experienced. I cannot begin to imagine the fortitude & tenacity you must have upon enduring such horrors. ** Virtual hug **
Knowing the kind of strength, being the amazing woman you must be, was in part forged by such bitterness inside ugly men in what is such an unforgiving, cruel world at times. I, too, have been physically/sexually assaulted right here on the home turf, so I truly cannot fathom how you must have felt... Being caught in the depths of such darkness, inside an uncaring, xenophobic nightmare... Unable to feel the calming safety of the safe haven that we all call home...
The unfortunate reality, tragically, is just how good advice it is you provided. No one on this side of the world likely has ever had to experience the new set of standards this post-COVID paradigm has forced on so many otherwise decent people. Terrifying to imagine the sheer, utter desperation, panic, & fear living in the minds and bellies of so many.
I do hope they took a moment to read the wisdom you imparted in an attempt to prepare them for what could be, and that they shared it with their family. It’s such a shame, because as human beings, we all should be able to be afforded the opportunity to explore this beautiful, although corrupted, world with wide eyed wonder. Yet part of being naive is being afforded the luxury of never even considering those darkest aspects of life that you shared.
Although I have always planned to travel some more in the future, I do know that now, unfortunately, is certainly not the time to do it despite the appeal of low cost. I am a petite, fair skinned, 5’2” blonde that already cannot go outside as it is without dealing with incessant cat calls, car honking, and overall very unwanted attention, so I can only imagine the kind of hell hole I could end up in, as so many struggle with even more hopelessness & desperation than before.
I hope you continue to have such resilience, and share your wisdom with others when you can. I hate to say it, but it would likely have left me feeling very broken & despondent. It sounds like you’ve persevered through much more than you ever deserved to, and for that I am so sorry. XO Please be well. With love from Southern NJ 💕💜💃🤟
