That famous line from MOOGS (2020) : "You're gonna need a bigger desk."
awesome moogfest series, i have been enjoying it a lot (just bought a midimurf on reverb, very excited about this pedal)
Excellent series Starsky !
Super! Love this pedal, very cool!
Really enjoyed your Moog fest. Thanks.
Very beautiful piece of kit!
Thanks for sharing :)
Sounds great! Cool demo!
Thanks been wanting to see a video like this for awhile. Space is always an issue.
Another great tutorial thanks Star ... Yes I did enjoy moogfest
love it! Cheers!
Man that sound at 8:51 is so beautiful!
Sounds so good too much fun thanks they sound amazing so cool
That's the melody from Mongoloid that you're playing, yes? Devolution is real!
Thanks, enjoyed the last ten days :)
I’m glad a few hardy folks kept with it :)
@@StarskyCarr You're videos influence me in buying a Sub37 & 90% Stephan Bodzin lol
Love my midimurf!
Great video... I hope you are doing well. :-) Stay safe out there.
I'm a big fan of moogerfoogers after your videos. I hope they will be re-released some day.
Yeah, and I have belatedly found that I 'need' the MuRF…. and now I can not find it (or its ridiculous priced).
@@RobLocksley They are priced according to the what they are worth. They are actually priceless. And when you want to get rid of them… you will always do so by making money
The Murf is very specialized. But very useful. If you use it before reaching out for equalizers in your daw. Or to add organic movement to your instruments… it’s valhalla. It’s based on the 907 I think…
Drunken vocoder! Perfect!
I've really enjoyed this series. Love that midimurf. Any plans to do other manufacturers? Korg? Roland? Arp?
Hah... not sure I've got the energy, or the time.. this took so much longer than I expected! But, maybe ... Sequential, Roland and Korg... perhaps. I need to borrow a few more bits really, but maybe a general synth fest?
@@StarskyCarr Great. I don't want the virtual synthfest to stop here lol
Thanks for doin this. When they cancelled moogfest I was bummed, but surprised I'd only bought moogfest tickets and not airfares or hotel, and now it seems freaky they cancelled. Here'a to 2021 and more virtual synthfest in general!
Done! Purchased. Ohh my student loans...
Really enjoyed the Moog fest. Want to get one. Have you got a recommendation for a first one? Virtual, 3rd party and/or real! Thanks
My first was the delay. But they’re all so expensive now! The Eventide Rose is pretty cool as a replacement and on sale at the mo. ruclips.net/video/-OYKDf7pS1Q/видео.html
But it doesn’t have the CV or MIDI control. Otherwise you’re looking at standard delay/FX I think that’s why the moogerfoogers are so special... essentially modular kit in pedal form!
Hi Iain: they are expensive, but you're get a combination of effects in each unit. All of them can get awesome full range overdrive. And the Clusterflux for instance can get vocal sounds, vibrato, ring mod, pitchbend, a metallic and slapback delay as well as chorus and flanging. The real magic happens when you combine them and add an expression pedal. The only negatives are lack of saving presets and such a wide range on the controls that sometimes it's hard to dial in a sweetspot that you found the day before.
Does the Soundtower MIDI editor work with the new versions of Mac OS?
no, just tried it.. never realised until now :(
I think you actually do have a Moog reverb there :)
Haha.. oh yeah :)
His friends were unaware...
anybody ever tried to play the Murf with Midi notes?
This was an awesome video BUT ??? At $1000 for a mono synth I'm kind of hoping it might have some of the features that ALL those boards on the right you're utilizing be integrated into it. I don't mean ALL of them but something ?? I'm selling off ALL of my chinese made equipment and looking for ANYTHING else with a preference for it to be made in the United States. From a feature standpoint this isn't cutting the cake. Looks like I might be looking at a lot of dreadboxes ? Anyway, nice video. How much do all those boxes on the right cost ?
Thomas Cole so what about ALL the Chinese made parts inside the 'US made' equipment?
@@PedalScience They've been removed them as well...
The units in the right are only available used now, and prices have risen considerably recently. Worth getting hold of if you can find a bargain .. it is possible :)
@@PedalScience What about it ? You need to start somewhere. My guess is the dave smith and dreadbox stuff has less than say "a behringer". Do you think you're pointing something out here that no one else knows ?
Thomas Cole just pointing out the illogicality of your gear-racism ;)
