Help needed, so i took out my upper and lower timing cover to redo the timing chains, because the car was starting but not revving at allx. Discovered that the crank sproket was missing some teeth and thag there was a hole on that bearing(round) part of the oil pump was broken, is this part replaceable or do i need a new oil pump
Ive noticed on my yd25 the harmonic balance looks like it goes back an forth. Noticeable. Also I have a weird noise at idle but goes away as soon as rev it.
@@yd2532 oh yeah. For legal reasons i can't blank the egr on my d40 so I'm asking around looking for advice. I get a fair amount of oil blowby from my engine
@@admiralgoodboy if you have oil around the intercooler hoses that's normal. Even when people put catch cans on they still have that because oil can come from the turbo

Despite changing the timing chain, water pump, deactivating the EGR, and isolating the issue, my Nissan Pathfinder still emits black smoke during simple acceleration. The injectors have been verified, and there’s a slight oil seepage from the turbo. Where could the problem be originating from?”
@@yd2532 Thank you for your advice! The engine is responsive and accelerates quickly. I’ll definitely try the ECU reset as you suggested. You’re the only one who responded among all the others, and I truly appreciate it.

Hey man you ever need to set up an oil catch can for the yd25?
We don't run catch cans. You don't need them if you blank the EGR

Can the crank locking bar be purchased separately?
Yes cost about $80. Can be used on alot of diffrent cars with similar pulleys

Don't have to mark the top chain. If that's all you have taken off you can just realign it with the painted marks on the chain and sprockets.

Can I ask what can cause a d22 to only run only while spraying starting fluid, however when you stop spraying the car dies emediately
Sounds like it's not getting fuel but has some compression. What year model?

Try an ecu rest. Does the car feel underpowered?
