    You are a credit to your industry mate. The fact you take the time to make these videos is a testament to your professionalism, as you surely aren't making any money from these vids. If anything you are doing yourself out of work by teaching people minor, DIY fixes that you could be charging for. Just wanted to thank you. If I ever have an issue with my Navara you would be my go to mechanic - and I live in Merseyside...

      We're a family run business, we know how frustrating it could be for people on a simple fix but can cost them due to people not knowing what it is and it gives us great pleasure to do these videos for people like you. Many thanks for your comment, that's what it makes worth while.
      Thanks, Des.

    Gday there, great and informative videos. I have a 2011 d40 manual which so far hasnt missed a beat and has 200,000kms on it. Im from Australia. I havnt done any towing with it pretty much since ive owned it at 93,000kms but exhaust temp sensor has gone twice but ive driven it for ages with the fault and only had a couple of instances where it felt like it had no boost, this was 40,000kms ago roughly.
    Ive been lucky so far but am looking to put it up for sale before any major issues (timing chain) occur. Also thanks for info about np300s chain, thats a bit off putting knowing its probably gonna be no good if ya plan on towing alot with it.. Thanks again for all your info

    Good evening, I'm from Romania and I have a Nissan Navara D40. It covered 260,000 km and I don't know if the distribution chain needs to be changed. If so, recommend me a link where to buy everything you need to change the distribution. If you were closer I would come to you. Thank you in advance!!!

    I have an Almera 2004 and recently had an Engine Management code appear. When I read it on my reader it was a Camshaft Sensor. When starting in the morning, it starts up no problem but the rev meter kinda bounces a few seconds before it settles down and it drives fine. Is this the early signs of a stretched chain?

    I had the same problem with my 2014 Juke SL manufactured on November 29,2013. yet Nissan Canada looks at it as a 2014 model. Not covered under the Voluntary Recall Campaign P-4213 that covers all Juke models 2011 to 2013, Service Bulletin SB-10055923-4231, Valid from Sept. 22,2014 to Oct. 30,2015. Yet the problem of timing chain stretching wasn't discovered until May 5,2014. So I had to pay $2,440. out of my own pocket for the repairs. So why was my Juke not covered? Nissan has a problem with Model and Manufacturing dating!!!!

    Hello Master! I'm Gaben from Hungary, unfortunately I would be far away from you anyway. I'd like to ask you what I thought could have ruined you. I am after replacing the Nissan Navara D40 timing chain. I replaced the air filter, engine oil, water pump, air mass gauge, camshaft and crankshaft encoder, dual weight flywheel, clutch and as I wrote a complete timing chain kit. After the start, however, he has a very clicking rattle. The chain seems to click on some plastic part. The performance is good, at least as far as I dared to try, because it is disturbed by the loud noise at idle. Thank you in advance for your honor. Gaben from Hungary.

    • @westyorkshireengineservice9160
      @westyorkshireengineservice9160  2 года назад

      If you have had replaced the cylinder head I would have said you have put too much RTV on the back timing plate and covered the oil hole And why did you change the cam sensor and crank sensor that would suggest timing out or maybe something has not been tightened properly All the very best Des 😊

      The crankshaft encoder was faulty there was no turn and it was thrown as a fault. The top is because I bought two and what I took out remains in reserve. In principle, I did everything according to the description and the video. Works start going just confusingly rattle. I'll try to break it down again and review it again. Thank you for your honorable reply. All the best Gaben.
