You need to to do a fuel pump reset every time you do a fuel filter replacement this will give you better fuel economy and help save you money in future parts ie Injectors, and fuel cost's.

Just took my D22 to West Yorkshire engine services for the shell upgrades and the timing chain upgrade plus a new clutch.
Arrived to a warm welcome, very friendly and informative.
I was even given a lift to the railway station which was only 2 miles away but still no trouble for them.

I just googled "does nissan pathfinder have a timing chain" and your vid link came up... the reason I clicked on it was because of the place name "west yorkshire" oh my home county, not only that your in my home town "Bradford" that I left 40 years ago.... So I watched your video just to hear the Bradfordian accent and I was amazed at what you had taught me about this engine Thanks for the informative video

I may of put my comment on the wrong video but I just wanted to say a big Thanks for your videos. It helped me out tremendously. Doing a service on my car. Which is a Nissan pathfinder 2009
The only massive issue I had was trying to remove the oil filter. Totally seized and over tightened by who ever did it last. I ended up have to take the wheel off & cowling. But the worst part was the metal pipe just above the oil filter. Thanks Nissan for your stupid design of where you decided to put the oil filter. Nothing worked even trying above the engine which I tried to do before having to resort to removing wheel etc
If its wasn't for your great videos. Which has taken me 2 weeks to find. I think I would of given up. I wish there was more garages that's as good & as honest as you. Specially this day and age. Which is hard to find.
And is willing to share some advice & tips to help people such as myself that has been let down by garages.
Really appreciate your wealth of knowledge. And will certainly be considering buying parts from your garage.
Than the over inflated Nissan dealer where I'm based. They charged me £5 + vat for a sump plug brass washer. And wasn't even prepared to tell me the torque spec on the serpentine belt pulleys which needed changing. And stretched belts.

Thank you for telling me about the oil pump O ring, I had just put a new head, water pump and timing chains on my D40, and wondered why the hell the oil light would stay on for 30 seconds after starting. Well after looking at this, I have now pulled it back down and guess what, I need a new O ring, thank you so much for your no bullshit and very informative videos.
Did u use a new o ring or just use atv 🤔

good video! just did the job..seems to work allright. one detail i think is an improvement: when fitting tthe lower chain cover, i took out the locating pin.then, i could fit the chain cover without endangering the vital oil seal. tighten the bolts slightly, then hammer in a new pin/piece of 8 mm tube. the old one cannot be reused, its a very thinwalled tube, gets bent with the removal.

There is a video on this we did it some time ago tdc for the d40 is about 8 oclock and on the d22 it is at 12 oclock

I have a 2010 Nissan Navara.
my Q is: can a badly fitted timing chain where bolts are missing cause clutch problems,s through excessive engine vibration?
Do you stock the rear engine lifting brackets? I rang nissan and apparently they dont sell them.
Alternatively, how would i support the engine for lifting?
One final question, is there any benefit of going with the d40 engine block over the d22 engine block or using parts like the oil pick up from the d40 on my d22 engine?

I think my d40 cam chain has snapped. It was making a similar noise to that one. It went as I tried to start it so what’s the chance of my valves being shagged?
With the 2019 model of nissan navara can you say the timing chain are more realiable than the older version ?

Hi if the engine has been running prior,can you still turn the engine by hand to time it up. I need to check a few things not related to a rebuild ...im doing some calculations but hard to explain really thanks inadvance

Is it true that if you keep up with the services on the st-r d22 2.5 diesel. You won’t have to change the timing chain after the 120,000 replacement?

hello nice video I have a question my 06 infiniti m35 started to make a knocking noise / ticking now it lost oil pressure at first when you first start it it only made a ticking not really knocking noise it would go away after you gave it gas now it really has a rod type of knock I think I caught it at the early stages before it spun a bearing any advice is greatly appreciated

Latest prob is crank is worn about 50 thou and con rod. Finding it hard to fix. Is a Thai or Spanish crank interchangeable. Navara ST-X 2011

Omfg, those 3 bolts that hold the Catalytic converter, super hot here in Australia, i ended up using extention bar, with makita impact driver, the 3rd bolt, i took the front wheel off to get access to it. 😳

Hi, I noticed your video makes no mention of the use of shim plates behind the fuel pump sprocket for alignment relative to the vacuum and crank sprockets. Why is that?
I think my transfer box has gone as the wheels are locked in 4wd and cant release them back into 2wd there was a horrible grinding noise then it stopped any suggestions? and is it a job i could do.

My yd25 engine overheated, after the cylinder head was skeemed now the timing chain is making noise at 2500rpm , reving it beyond that is fine. I have replaced both top timing chain and tensioner but it does the same. What could be the problem?

Hi, mine is nissan d22 and timing chain broke. The mechanic said my car need to top overhaul and no need general overhaul because did not hit the piston. After all the valves and the timing chain set have been replace with the new one and the head also install back to the engine, the problem is my car wont start. After diagnose with comp, the result is 0077 code which is fuel pump problem. Before this i dont have any issue with fuel pump. You guys have any idea or advise for my problem?
