I changed mine several time as it was going into limp mode. And it done it again then I pressurised the primer really hard and notic a leak between the hose from filter and metal tube at clamp . I tightened it as I think it was loosing pressure which caused the computer to see the loss in pressure and sent it to limp mode. Check all your fuel clamps near filter and lower near engine

Great video. Please mention how important the correct torque is when tightening any fastener. I have worked in several workshops where only torque wrenches are used to tighten any fitting.

Waaay easier through the wheel arch. Removed the liner and it’s just sitting there. Always do a fuel pump reset after.

Had a nightmare replacing one of these. Pulled the old one off, couldn't see a gasket on the one removed. Stuck the new one on with the gasket and for some reason it doesn't seem to fully seal, no noticeable leak but if you run your finger underneath the SCV you can feel it slightly wet with diesel. Any suggestions?

Its highly likely the old gaskit is stuck to the main housing witch the Solonoid bolts to ,thanks for watching👍

Greetings again from Oamaru, Sth island New Zealand.
    Thanks for your vid.
    Question.
Any possible causes to this misery?.
    2012 Nissan Navara D40 St-X Diesel.
    160.000 k.m on clock
    Symptoms...
A putrid white hazy foggy smoke comes out of exhaust after around a minute of idling after startup.
Engine has rough lumpy idle then cuts out.
    No fault codes.
    EGR valve and cooler fine.
No overheating that i know of.
I possibly have coolant leak but there's no coolant loss.
No coolant in my sump oil, and no oil radiator.
    Cheers Carl

G'day Carl its a bit hard diagnosing any vehicle problem over the inter webs but ill try to point you in the right direction if you havent already get your self a work shop manuel check all the inlet piping and clamps are tight, clean the maf sencer, check the pvc system is not cloged up( positive crankcase ventilation) ,check over turbo shaft seals not leaking ,check fuel filters not blocked i hope this helps you out a bit thanks for watching mate lets us know how you got on 🍻👍

@@pushrodtv6623 Good morning and thanks. Yes I cleaned m.a.f sensor and e.g.r but will check e.g.r actuator mechanism later today when weather is calmed down.
I'm not sure if diesels have P.c.v valve.
Mine is a 2012 Spanish built Nissan Navara D40 St-X.
All e.g.r circuit was decarbonized last week.

@@nategmaycock9398 I had no codes showing, like I said in the video the valve is an electro magnet it's stuffed internally with plunger working freely by hand you can also try to power the valve on the bench and check it that way its hard to Diagnose over the RUclipss with out seeing the vehicle in person thanks for watching 👍

Hooray... fuel filter must have been blocked . Filter is noticeably heavy .. I've replaced it this afternoon and test driven the truck and not had an issue since ...
Something I did notice before changing the filter . The actual fuel pressure and target fuel pressure were very different... This was the biggest clue 😂
