I don't jump it as high as some people but I bash it HARD over dirt, sand, rocks, mudd, grass, water and I haven't had to do a thing to it (other than the standard cleanings/lubrications) and the truck has had zero issues and not a single part has broken. Today I was at a wet, muddy, rocky construction site and it just chewed it up. Really impressed with Arma and how durable their products are.

I'm glad arrmas putting out these new cars. They aren't perfect, but they're really trying to improve what they have and create some good stuff. I don't think it's going to be an xmaxx killer, but definitely a competitor. I can't really complain though, more options in the "5th scale" category for us.
Kevin!!! just returned my outcast 8S junk, the body is the only good thing about it. Not Arrma tough. I got 375 out of 550, tons of screws loose and was junk out the box. XMAXX IS KING!!!

That Outcast looks to be pretty good all in all. I really don't get the whole Traxxas vs Arrma thing. Just go with what you like, I don't think you'll lose either way. I have several Traxxas and the one Arrma, I'm happy with both.

You need to keep the ic5 connectors and get some smart batteries for that. You are getting rid of all the smart features by cutting off those connectors.

Your one of the reasons why I got back into the hobby. Also just put a castle creations sidewinder 3 brushless motor and esc in my traxxas slash 2wd ran 3 cell and it needs a sock full of change to keep the front down.
This is my favorite R/C car. I got an xmaxx recently, and I still like the outcast 8s better. The way it looks, the sound, and the handling is great! Very well engineered R/C
