That isn’t really techno babble, I mean like battery C rating and how it affects the motor then running through the ESC how motor timing can have an affect on the behavior on the whole RC itself and then that being filtered through the motor and what affect the kv has on the stream of power and then finally your overall gear ratio (spur divided by pinion) and how that transfers the power into something you can manipulate to your own liking, then with all of those four variables you can project or simulate what the end result would be, whether that’s more top-end more torque, some torque and some top-end or maybe the best of both and you have quick acceleration and a very fast top speed....that kind of techno babble

Why the hell would you all use the old oil it's literally dirt cheap and new rebuilt and oiled shocks are sooooo satisfying especially on crawlers

Nice mods, they look solid. My unsolicited opinion, for the relative weights I think the Xmaxx is a more compact design/footprint, that makes it more robust, among other things. I like the Kratos etc a lot but I think the designs leave them more open to breakages.
It was interesting hearing music from the opera Carmen in the background.

I definitely look forward to seeing that finished. I personally like when you talk about the more technical aspects of the rc world . I have been playing with them for a year now (gen 8 Redcat as my main crawler that got me in the action) so the more you talk the more I learn. Thank you .

Kudos for bringing up the point that the charger is basically 4 separate chargers. So many of these companies get away with advertising a max wattage and don’t tell you that it’s all of the charging ports combined. Seriously dangerous practice on their part

When you're building a car this size to such a high level, you can't really call them toys anymore. There is some seriously cool engineering going into them. But as you say we're not sitting in them so send it, to the moooon!!! 😃

Great vid Kev love these type of vids with the car work, good tips reviewing, things and then taking the car for a bash after in the same video keep up the good work also could you do the udr next I think they are very cool and there are lots of parts for them and one more thing for the Kraton could you maybe use the proline shocks for the x maxxes with the reservoirs

Simple green works great as well to clean plastic parts and even brings back the stickiness in tires
I love, love the fact that you put the upgrades in the description with links and such in all your new videos. But I also like to go back and watch some of your older videos and unfortunately, they don't have that kind of info in the description. Either you need to get those older cars out again and make an updated video with the mods or go back and edit the description so that us noobs who are just starting out can make heads or tails out of what cars can use what mods and which ones are not good and so forth. Looking to get an Arrma Big Rock for my first truck and clearly want it to use 6S instead of the stock 3S. So I need your wisdom on a parts list for upgrades. LOVE your vids and I AM a subscriber!! :) Even smashed that bell!!

I advise You also to put a nail polish on the pivotball nut's thread. It significantly prevents that nuts becoming loose and wobbling wheels for that kind of suspension and works as a locktile
Great video! Yes the Protek Charger is good only trouble I've had was the balance cable was showing my battery cell was dead until I tried a new balance cable then the battery was fine. Cheers

That charger is nice as hell! I bought the 625 DOU TOUCH AC years ago (200W X 2) and I think I mentioned you should pick one up. Your going to love that charger.

For the long jump car try to use a castle xl x combo just search for it on eBay but it's made for a fifth scales so it should be plenty of power
yes it's all beautiful, it's great to have titanium pieces, but not everyone can afford it, apparently you can, you can afford it all.
Definitely need an all metal version to survive those jumps

That’s why you just can’t beat the XmAx for durability. Just look at all the money you’ve thrown at that RC! Its fun to watch you install all those beautiful alloy parts though.
With that gearing, you're getting close to 1:1 exchange, making it feasible with direct drive.

It really doesn’t matter and I know it’s all just for fun but I think your project fastest car is technically 12s 2p not 24s because your essentially attaching 2 indépendant circutes threw the esc’s which is the same as connecting them both in parallel together because the voltage coming out is the same. But again: it’s all just for fun so call it whatever you want! 😂

@@ezrarichardson279 also I feel like the car could potentially be faster if it was front wheel drive with only one motor PER WHEEL making each motor have to half the work. Also if it is front wheel drive the acceleration slower but it would have a smaller chance of flipping over at high speeds and it would have better braking in case of an unexpected obstacle.
And it could put all the power into one wheel each
It might also reduce the weight on the rear/tail of the car.
