That isn’t really techno babble, I mean like battery C rating and how it affects the motor then running through the ESC how motor timing can have an affect on the behavior on the whole RC itself and then that being filtered through the motor and what affect the kv has on the stream of power and then finally your overall gear ratio (spur divided by pinion) and how that transfers the power into something you can manipulate to your own liking, then with all of those four variables you can project or simulate what the end result would be, whether that’s more top-end more torque, some torque and some top-end or maybe the best of both and you have quick acceleration and a very fast top speed....that kind of techno babble

Nice mods, they look solid. My unsolicited opinion, for the relative weights I think the Xmaxx is a more compact design/footprint, that makes it more robust, among other things. I like the Kratos etc a lot but I think the designs leave them more open to breakages. It was interesting hearing music from the opera Carmen in the background. Good vid yet again.
When you're building a car this size to such a high level, you can't really call them toys anymore. There is some seriously cool engineering going into them. But as you say we're not sitting in them so send it, to the moooon!!! 😃
I would probably spend more time building these RC Cars than actually driving them, love the building parts of these videos. Would like to see something like fully upgrading a stock car from scratch, like an hour long special or something, going into more detail. I know you do the live streams, but a vid on YT would be great!
Kudos for bringing up the point that the charger is basically 4 separate chargers. So many of these companies get away with advertising a max wattage and don’t tell you that it’s all of the charging ports combined. Seriously dangerous practice on their part

But I also like to go back and watch some of your older videos and unfortunately, they don't have that kind of info in the description. Either you need to get those older cars out again and make an updated video with the mods or go back and edit the description so that us noobs who are just starting out can make heads or tails out of what cars can use what mods and which ones are not good and so forth. You can build that thing in your sleep take it apart and put together with no eyes but here's the thing how much of that car is actually still Arma you could build that thing out of aftermarket parts straight from the get and totally skip on them aparts just saying it's fast it's awesome take care and be safe great video

I run the exact same setup 800kv gearing and all with a 34t/39 spur on my O8S and she rips... I have 2 of those ProTek 610 quad chargers. They are great!!! Chargers my 9000mah packs way quicker then my older chargers! Best 4 channel charger out there IMO!! 👍👊👍👍
Titanium is stronger than steel by weight but nothing beats good quality steel (literally nothing, except for nanotubes and graphene) for tensile strength by volume. Those pillow balls will be lighter but weaker for example because there is no extra meat on them.
It really doesn’t matter and I know it’s all just for fun but I think your project fastest car is technically 12s 2p not 24s because your essentially attaching 2 indépendant circutes threw the esc’s which is the same as connecting them both in parallel together because the voltage coming out is the same. But again: it’s all just for fun so call it whatever you want! 😂

Also if it is front wheel drive the acceleration slower but it would have a smaller chance of flipping over at high speeds and it would have better braking in case of an unexpected obstacle.
I was looking at how the motor mount plate goes in, and I do believe that you have it upside down. I personally don't have a Kraton, however I did buy the mount for use in a project and it seems that the one corner is cut specifically to fit the other way around.

I advise You also to put a nail polish on the pivotball nut's thread. It significantly prevents that nuts becoming loose and wobbling wheels for that kind of suspension and works as a locktile

BikeMaster makes a tabletop parts washer that would work perfectly with your solvent/oil blend.

Great video, Kev. I would say that the money that went into the Kraton 8s could have easily bought two X-Maxxes and it still seems to break easily...
You have to get that sweet spot between rigidity and compliance. RPM seems to hit that sweet spot for bashing.
