What a great idea using a cutting board. I spent 18 years in kitchens and I can tell you they are damn near indestructible... that's a insanely good and simple idea. Not only are they incredibly strong but dirt...dirt cheap. Brilliant idea

Seems like the trick is to get her going full steam then once she's in the air keep her flat so she uses the chassis as an airfoil. If she tumbles she loses distance. I bet if you created just a small amount of drag towards the rear end and made sure the front doesn't have much you could keep her in the air for a while. Imagine if you could program AVC to control the throttle and keep her flat in midair instead of just steering...
Thats called TCS lul
The throttle doesnt have enough resolution to work with a gyro. A rate gyro which is what AVS is won't work. He would have to use a 6-axis gyro that has an auto level. A beta flight control board is what he needs with the correct ESC software so that throttle and brake response is instant.

I'm wondering if the car going end over end is adding drag to the car in flight.
If you extended the rear wing so it would act like a stabiliser in flight you could get more distance. Imagine a dart when it's thrown at a dartboard.
A I'd still think about a model rocket motor.just for the extra kick. Just check the rules first.

It is, when they tumble they fall shorter. If they're flat they're like a skydiver flattened out, slows the fall and extends the length forward. When the car is vertical it also slows the forward momentum, you're right to think of it as a dart, thats the objective..

@@pink-slush6793 the lasernut is a completely different vehicle, the UDR is a trophy truck, and handles better due to the design, it's also bigger, the lasernut is basically just another 4wd rc buggy with cage. Plus dont tell someone else to get something, if he wants a udr, its probably because it will make him happy, and as kev always says, "it's not which is better but whatever makes you happiest."

The Havoc reeked on those Rc's is just impressive and most of them kept running, and here on my channel I have a weak ol' brushed traxxas summit that stripped both diffs just from a brushed system 😂 Kevin my man, you are everything I want to be in this hobby! The thing that keeps me from it is no job and really low money, and your videos have saved some of my summit with the parts you used
