It looks great because everything is massive on this thing, but it drives like shit and that is because it's waaaaaaaay too heavy for it's scale. So it suitable as a show truck but not to race or bash with.
That was absolutely awesome to watch. Back in 2019 I bought all aluminum pieces to build a custom rustler to build from scratch. I'm talking literally everything I put together by hand and it was an absolute masterpiece when it was all said and done if I could post pictures I would. You sir have given me the inspiration I needed to get back into this hobby

You are right about that exhaust sound not being picked up by the camera Kev. My ears are still ringing from watching it go round ARC 🤣 can't wait to see it once it's fully run in 👍
For me the noise would be the absolute downside to the car. Aren't there options to improve or dampen the noise like on scooters? This car is such a fine piece of engineering, but it sounds like a crappy 2Stroke scooter with damaged exhaust. There has to be a engineering solution to dampen the bright earbleeding frequencies.. :) just imagine the difference, if the engine sounded deeper.. thanks for the vid Kevin. Hey Kev, Just a hint with the air filter oil. Put the filter and a bit of oil in a plastic bag, and massage it into the filter. It's a lot less messy, and you save on the filter oil 👍
Use a empty metal boost can for your fuel, you can use measuring cups for the additives. You can also “soft” sandblast the can to get the printing off and make your own design. You already paid for the container, might as well use it then throwing it away. Also if you just go out for short driving session then you can carry what’s needed.
When filling the tank, turn the fuel bottle the other way, nozzle side up. It allows for a more controlled pour. With nozzle side down it will come out in a rush.
I’ve got lost in RUclips and saw this video this guy is great it would’ve taken me month or more trying to assemble this. You can tell he’s been doing it a while and it’s a hobby . It was very satisfying to watch . Will definitely like this video for sure
I find it hard to believe that all of the Primal upgrades are not included in the $4k+ price tag. I understand the upgrades needed for the Tyler Engine however the rest should be included IMO. Very awesome build and love the machine! Wish I could justify a $10K RC.
Hey Kev. The aluminum part you did not know is actually used to lock out reverse in the truck. I was stumped as well until... Yes I know... I had to read the manual. It's there in that little book none of us seem to ever read.

I 100% understand your frustration Kev and I have a problem with my temper, especially when wrenching on something. It’s ALWAYS important to remember that if you want to throw something to the moon, it’s a good indication to take a break because you WILL want to and even break something while working on it making it worse. Epic, I could tell you where excited kev. Maybe some lock washers could be enough to help on the 4x servo bolts. Maybe make a large cover plate with five holes, so the slotting would still work behind but it would have more surface to grip.

Tip for two stroke engine start, on the carb, give it a bit of throttle for start to prime it almost, and very fast short pulls for most effect I’ve found works best, also you just have the resonator, you’ll need a proper exhaust tip to quiet it down and sound better

It's nice to have to toggle for the rear steering. If it was all in one it would constantly turn both sets. With the toggle you can choose. As for the body, I like the classic better.

Might make it more fun to bash and race. Maybe worth a try?

Best monster truck, best gas powered Ram 3, best electric Ram 1. 100 mph on grass, 241 on street. Longest jump, highest “wasted”. Keep reaching these goals! Not asking for much, ha. Just keep being Kev!
