I'm happy you enjoyed the challenge. :) With the gearbox, you were meant to swap in the manual gearbox and go realistic mode instead of arcade as its much easier to climb. I went down the highway and up the hill, then cut through the mineshaft onto that lower bridge road before getting to the construction site, then went up the hill towards the visitor center in low range and 1st gear to get the power. I never thought about using the trails haha. I made it in the moonhawk track car which was really strong and really capable, was a lot of fun to use that for it. I went through about 4 or 5 resets to make it too. ^^
