When you think that Steve Harris has just turned 63 and still plays the exact same way and Bruce still jumps around the stage like 30 years ago, you understand why Maiden has been around this long and still rocks.
Dickinson said recently that hes getting old for that and his body hurts after the presentation kkkkk.
slight exaggeration
Same with the Scorpions
@@marceloborges5502😢
Bruce Dickinson was known as "The Human Air Raid Siren" among other compliments. This song is part of why.
Wasn't a compliment by the first guy that said it
@@pierreo33 Correct, it was a slightly unfavourable live review when he joined and they performed a series of warm-up show at the Rainbow, and Smallwallet liked it so much he adopted it for Bruce...
"unlimited air supply"😂😂😂
Hey man, there's a reason they call him the Human air-raid-siren😤😤🤘🤘
One reason why Iron Maiden has so much energy is because they do not stay up all night partying like many rock and metal bands do. The members of the band rest at night and play golf during the day, getting sleep and exercise. They feel if they stay up all night drinking and partying that it will effect the quality of their music, so they don't.
R.I.P. Clive Burr. You and your talent of drumming are greatly missed.
OG Iron Maiden fans generally just refer to them as Maiden. ;)
I was thinking the exact same thing. Don't call them I.M. The short version is MAIDEN. Up the Irons!!
@@PitVanRooster69 Came down here to say this exact thing. BILLY LISTEN TO THIS DUDE!
I call them Iron because fuck society
smokeslet'sgo Big Iron*
That’s stupid. How hard is it to say Iron Maiden?
Up the Irons! Not a song, just a salute to the most awesome metal band of all time.
Yes sir!!
Well said! Up the Irons!
Amen. \m/
BEST REACTION EVER!!! 😁😁😁👍👍👍 Welcome to Maiden-land! 🤘🤘🤘
The interesting piece of trivia I learned for comments on another reaction, is that the bell rings 20 times in the song because that's what happened before a London execution.
Worst part is.. that's probably late in the show, more than 1 hour in. Those legends are BEAST in shows. Been touring for almost 40 years, still going strong. Forces of nature, all of them. You just opened Maiden's Pandora's Box, Billy.. the rabbit hole goes VERY deep. You're in for quite a ride lol
Also, check out "IM" Powerslave, Seventh Son of the Seventh Son, Tailgunner, Aces High, Flash of the Blade, Fear of the Dark (live for crowd interaction) and any other live Maiden video you can find.. you won't believe the crowds they get lol
I entered that pandora's box in the early '80s and I still haven't came out!
I've been down that "rabbit hole" since their first album and have been to every U.S. tour they have had. Haven't, nor have I wanted to, found my way out. Up the Irons!!
Possibly the single most professional live act out there.
Saw them in 2019...still the same energy, Bruce sounded exactly the same, and their set changes between songs were only like 30 seconds. Unforgettable performance. I can't imagine what it would have been like back in the 80's.
That "low" part is insane, 4 semi-breves in a 4/4 time signature, 4 notes, crazy control starting at Em. the first two bars are pretty hard already, and then, comes the last two (when the band speeds up) he goes higher to E5, C5 and then D5.
Children of the damned is also another great song, this shit makes me wanna cry dude.
Got the music sheet here for anyone who wants to check out musescore.com/user/28901431/scores/5222154
The singer Bruce Dickinson is not fuckin human. He's a goddamn renaissance man. He's also a professional fencer, an author, and a fuckin airline pilot. He literally flew the plane that Iron Maiden traveled on for their world tour in 2008
He used to roller blade around the venues with headphones singing the set so that come show time he was warmed up and could nail night after night. His autobiography "What does this Button do?" goes into the amazing amount work he puts into sounding that good 40 years on.
BillyYSC: Now you’re just showing off!?!
Iron Maiden: Yes. Yes we are!
It's always hilarious when you get so hyped about a song you start bouncing. I keep waiting for the chair to break! XD Love you though, man, and keep 'em up! Thank you for these videos, they keep me smilin', bro!
I swear, I have been listening to Maiden since Di'Anno...and I STILL have that same reaction to this song when the hook comes in near the end....Up the Irons!
I come back and watch this reaction of yours every once in a while. Your reaction when it picks up towards the last couple of minutes is just priceless.
Fear Of The Dark, the Rock In Rio live video.
Oh, and the band's in their sixties now, and they're touring North America this summer, and they rock out harder than a lot of bands half their age.
No. Nobody's fingers get tired, nobody's voices get tired. I've been to their concert. They CAN play all night. Once you are a fan, you are a fan for life. 🤘
Great video Billy! I was afraid your face would crack from smiling so much... Iron Maiden Rocks!!🤘🤘🏽🤘🏾
Caught Somewhere in Time by themselves 🤘🤟🤘🤟🤘🤘🤘🤟🤘🤟🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤟🤟
Iron Maiden Seventh Son of a seventh son. He pushes vocals long on that song.
Dude! Watching you take a drink was hilarious. I’ve seen the many times and am going in September. I remember leaving almost every show exhausted. Metal Gods indeed. Up the irons brother. And rock on!
Maiden done melted his brain again! Great video Billy keep them coming.
Try Next with "Seventh son of a Seventh son" (Maiden England '88 Live). A master class of Iron Maiden at its compositive peak.
This song right here is why Maiden is the most legendary metal band of all time. They beat the boss in every song.
You should do a reaction to The Red and The Black.
Im glad the old metal keeps bringing in new audiences! Maiden songs are stories in every one. Glad you enjoyed it man! I enjoyed watching your reaction, reminds me of how we reacted to it back in the day!
This reaction is what I needed! Your reaction was so genuinely fun it rubbed off on me!
It's true...with Iron Maiden...I feel like I need no other band....so much pure satisfaction....
Iron Maiden has always had it in the past and they still have it today. Sometimes if I'm listening to a live concert on the radio or somewhere and not sure exactly when the recording was, I wouldn't be able to tell if it was a concert in the 80s or in this millennium, they Still Rock and Bruce still has it in the vocal Department
Up the irons!
R.I.P. Clive Burr, he helped to make this song what it is. A relentless epic masterpiece.
Nice reaction man. Cool tune. Maiden kicks ass live. ☮️
They do "do that all night". Watch Flight 666 they play most of their hits in different venues around the world. It'll kill you, but in a good way.
And not to forget: The vocalist Bruce "Jack of All Trades" Dickinson himself pilots their airplane and flies it wherever they go.
What's really amazing, are that they STILL go on like this, for two hour concerts, night after night, with Bruce STILL running around on stage as if he was still in his 20's (he's in his 60's). Go see them live. They're STILL rocking it and STILL relevant and STILL at the tops of their games, over forty years later.
Saw this tour, Nassau Colisium Uniondale NY April 82. Then 4 months later, they picked up the Judas Priest tour, Screaming for Vengeance, saw that in September same year, same place, in my top 3 concerts ever, I was 17.
React to Painkiller by Judas Priest!
Iron Maiden - Dance of death - live at En Vivo :)
Maidens *_Rime of the ancient mariner_* next?
yessss!
I hope he can retain his sanity after reacting to Mariner!!
I think he is not ready yet. It'll kill him
Live flight 666 version.
i prefer the live after death version
#BillyYouSoCrazy Dude, you nailed the note when you sang, "low". NICE!!!!!! 😁🤘🏼
Maiden was my first concert ever, my buddy took me to see them play at Poplar Creek for my 18th birthday we were like 15 th row center I couldn’t hear straight for 3 days after that show IT WAS FREAKING AWESOME the amount of energy got me hooked forever.....
Yeah I'm an OG Iron Maiden fan that's for sure been there since the beginning I'm 53 years old. I've seen Iron Maiden about 20-25 times greatest band on Earth the goat for sure
Billy, turn your chair around. See the label. Contact manufacturer. Tell them you can do a commercial for them. They will shower you with gold.
If Iron Maiden were a sports team, they'd be the 92 US Olympic Men's Basketball Team. Let's see you react to Iron Maiden - The Rime of the Ancient Mariner
You should see/ hear Iron Maiden "sign of the cross", live from rock in rio. One of theyr best stage performances i think.
THEY ARE INCREDIBLE!!!! LUCKY TO SEE THIS GUYS LIVE! CHEERS FROM BRAZIL!!!
Great react! Thanks! My favourite Iron Maiden song. Best line up. Best song. Best album. Drummer Clive Burr (RIP) always the monster! The best. Miss him.
Clive was a beast. RIP to the best! For sure!
Wait till you see them live! Can’t wait to see them for the 5th time in two weeks!! And proudly can say, I won Steve Harris sweatband 🥺😫👏🏽👏🏽 up the irons \m/
Bet you'll never wash that sweat band band either. Hell, I know I wouldn't. I'd find a lab and clone Steve Harris.
His reaction to a band performing a song of their own creation and nailing it as so astonishing feels like it's telling of quality of modern popular music performances . Because to metal fans, this is par for the course
everytime he sings hallowed be thy name and holds it I get goose bumps.
Iron Maiden is incredible. So glad to see this reaction. Just discovered ur channel recently.
Awesome song reaction Bill!!
this is one of my all time favorites...
hey u need to react to DEATH - "Symbolic" , "without judgement" , "the flesh and the power it holds" or "suicide machine" I'm sure u will be blown away my friend...
The longer I have listened to Iron Maiden the more I have come to appreciate just how well they combine as individuals to create their trademark sound.
Iron Maiden is the best band in the world. This is a fact.
You need to check out "When The Wild Wind Blows" - absolutely EPIC Maiden song! Up The Irons!
yep live En Vivo is brilliant
Agreed the en vivo live version
This is 1983/84 the early days of maiden and still doing it to this day bigger and better.....
Clive Burr had that early metal style in his sweet drumming, the man is killing it on the video
RIP Mr. Burr +
up the irons
Djents: "You can't play Metal on Strats nor on a 4-string bass."
Iron Maiden and Sabaton: "Hold our beers..."
I’ve really learned over the past few years that it’s not only me…. I love Lyrical rap, hip hop and metal … I have come to realize lyrical Rap and Metal go together ! They are very similar …. Both have bars … both have energy , both have passion
Hails from Greece!
You'd never deal with a Maiden concert. Consider these guys are in their 60's and still rocking like this, and one song beat the crap out of you:)
Iron Maiden prime years 1980 - 1989 !!! 💀
"As the guards march me out to the courtyard somebody cries from a cell god be with you if there's a god why does he let me go ?" (Hallowed be thy name -iron maiden)
The Lead singer Bruce Dickinson is a Licensed Pilot and Flies the Band The to every stop on their tour on their own Plane.
Hey Crazy Family, we may have to take up a collection so Home Boy can upgrade his chair. 'Cuz I'm not sure how much longer this one is going to last. 😳😂😂
I smiled through this whole thing! Subscribed 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I enjoyed your reaction so much! I think Iron Maiden just blew you away..lol
Lol thank you so much they really did
Now react to Fear of the Dark live from Rock in Rio... Maiden is awesome live!! Ps: I was in that show...
Lucky bastard
Up the irons from nj \m/
Metallica - whiplash or the four horsemen live in seattle 89.
Keep going dude
mario luna personally I live the four house men more that is NOT saying whiplash is a bad song though
Any song from that show is phenomenal!
Haha! Great video bro!
Great, really amusing reaction. Good on you dude!
There is no better band live than Iron Maiden. Up the Irons!
Maiden is on tour this summer, man. You have to go see them live, unforgettable show!
You rock! It's great to see you learning the great stuff that was thought of as garbage when I was a kid back in the 80s. I'm a vet as well and loved the mixture of music I was exposed to.
Get yourself a ticket for their show this year. It will be full of hip hop head iron maiden reactors like yourself.
Iron Maiden top talent. Top of their game. Thats what the fans come for. The power and energy and great material. Dickinson’s pipes and persona are second to none. Renaissance man. Flys a 737
About 14 seconds
Love your enthusiastic reactions Billyyousoalittebitcrazee !
The Wicker Man is their first "comeback" single and it's lit af.
Love your reaction brother Maiden NEVER! Disappoints. Legends
Iron Maiden - Rime Of The Ancient Mariner (Live Flight 666). Literally so much tension, followed by the biggest musical explosion imaginable. Should definitely watch it.
Ah I see we meet again, like I said once before I am a simple man. I see Iron Maiden. I click. You are going to see a lot of me. Up the irons!
From the same concert Iron Maiden - 22 Acacia Avenue
For them It was/is pure love and passion for the music and fans and it shows. When the money and social media is the biggest goal, passion is nowhere to be found...
Ur best reaction for a huge classic. We feel ur pain; long ago chairs were broken, backs were hurt and necks were fucked for that fast part and esp 2 guitar harmonized main riff at outro. Cheers!
Your reactions are priceless! Dance of Death from Live- Death on the road. YOU WILL NOT be disappointed!
Well you can say all you want about Maiden or IM like you so delectably put it but your reaction to this song is the highlight of this video.
Up the irons but a BIG thumbs up to you👍🤘😎
As people have sad before, the Maiden rabbit hole goes deep, make shore you keep track of the nearest exit door, otherwise you probably get lost!
Big shout out to you from all Maiden heads in Sweden 🤘🇸🇪🤘
that's just seven minutes and two seconds out of a 100+ minute show...….. I see you really groove on the old school Maiden material..... but... how can you not ??
Check out Aces High!
U right man.... they leveled up live....masters of the craft!
Alright, let's all try to follow Bruce's "low"... yep, I hold 10 seconds top myself. ^^
he actually only held it like 13-14 seconds.. but followed it up with another 9-10 seconds where he raised the note. but it's just so haunting, and so much is going on w/ the music it seems forever
To. Tame. A. Land. I will say every time. 🔥🔥🔥
BEST bassist to have ever walked the planet.
Hey dude! Long time viewer, recent subscriber; always enjoy your content and, as a plus, it's nice to see Iron Maiden has successfully gained another follower! Truly one of the greatest metal bands of all time. Between Bruce Dickinson's vocals and Steve Harris' bass lines, anyone can appreciate.
One thing I think you may be interested in is punk and/or ska. I notice a lot of people don't make videos of that, so it'd be a chance to widen your demographic as well as diversify your already-expanding musical tastes.
I recommend NOFX's "We Called It America" and the Dead Kennedys "Police Truck" for a basis for punk, although there's tons to choose from. They're very political with NOFX coming right out and saying it in a straight up manner while the Dead Kennedys make satirical songs that are more so phrased as jokes with serious undertones.
Ska is basically punk...but with a wind section. NOFX even has quite a few ska songs themselves like "Best God in Show", "All Outta Angst", and "Eat The Meek" to name a few.
However, I personally would love to see your reactions to a few Streetlight Manifesto songs. I recommend "Would You Be Impressed", "We Will Fall Together", and "Keasbey Nights".
Keep up the great work and rock on, my dude!
That was from the "Number Of The Beast" tour in 1982, I believe, I saw them that year here in Lubbock Texas, if you ever get the chance to see them in concert, do not miss it; yes, they're still touring and they're freaking killers!
And Iron Maiden - Phantom Of The Opera is very essential
That's the most beloved Iron Maiden song of all time. How about reacting to my fav, Infinite Dreams. Cheers.
STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND and ACES HIGH 🤘🤘🤘
Great reaction to an incredible song! Thanks!
BillyYouSoROCKIN!!!!! Theres your new name! Booyah!!! Lol
