There is NO beating the man who wrote this masterpiece, straight from the essence of his very being. There can be covers, but The Creative Genius will win every time.
Amazing fact about Queens' lead guitarist Brian May. He was actually working on getting his Ph.D in astrophysics when Queen was formed. Music meant so much to him so he put his doctorate on the back burner. After Freddie Mercury died, Queen disbanded. Even while still part of the group Brian and his father designed and built a new kind of guitar. Brian's IQ has been measured in the 160's. That's even beyond Big Bang Theory smart. So he was a real genius on top of being a musical genius. after Queen disbanded, Brian went back to working toward his doctorate. He finally got it in 2006 or 7. He's now Dr. Brian May Ph.D. He's also written about 6 books on the subject of astrophysics.
The movie was fantastic and Brian May and Roger Taylor we’re apart of the film. There are obviously inaccuracies but they were so because of it being an entertaining film rather than a documentary. In my opinion, there is no denial that the film captures the essence of Freddie Mercury and Queen. It is quite beautiful and heartbreaking knowing Freddie Mercury’s fate.
The movie was full of inaccuracies! Tell the effin truth. We all know what and when things were said! There does not need to be "entertainment" with fallacies! Good grief, is Queen not good enough that one must lie about the truth? In order to capture the "essence" of Queen and Freddie all one needs to do is tell the truth. The movie was a huge disappointment because it was fake. Freddie does not need fake to be great.
@@dis7817 Brian and Roger talked about that in an interview and said that it had two reasons. Just simple storytelling and also, if they would've done everything accurately the movie would've been an hour longer. Some of the changes were their idea, the other ones got their go ahead.
The whole band was incredible. All four of them wrote numerous number 1 songs for Queen. All were great musicians and singers. They did not consider Freddie as the leader of the band, only the lead singer. All four were equal members of the band. I love your reaction! And I did not understand that much english by then but I felt his voice deep inside me. This band is out of this world. Please react to White queen a night at the odeon, hammersmith.

A few Queen songs for you to check out - Death on Two Legs, a diss track from Freddie to their former manager Norman Sheffield. White queen (live at Hammersmith Odeon 1975), the most magical prog rock song you will ever hear. Stone Cold Crazy (live at The Rainbow), speed metal before speed metal was invented! You Take My Breath Away (live at Hyde Park 1976) a beautiful love song and finally Who Wants to Live Forever (live at Wembley 1986), from the film Highlander.

Sorry, late to the party here. The story behind the video is that here in the UK we used to have a pop music show called "Top of the pops", Bohemian Rhapsody became a huge hit and the BBC wanted Queen to play on the show, but they were on tour at the time and couldn't do it, so they quickly put this video together (effects and all) for the show. Because of this, Bohemian Rhapsody is considered as one of the (maybe the first) custom made music (promotion) videos. As for covers, I consider the Muppets one as the best. It's not perfectly accurate but it is funny. Both a tribute and a parody, not easy to achieve both at once. ruclips.net/video/tgbNymZ7vqY/видео.html
What you thought was a sound effect was Brian making the "shiver" sound on his Red Special. They were very experimental and pushed the boundaries of what shouldn't have been able to be done. YES, the movie was FANTASTIC!!! Definitely deserved the awards it won.
Terri Swann I think it would have definitely won best picture had it not had Brian Singer tied to it. I know the whole cast & crew wanted him fired as he was. That sadly couldn't be avoided for them. They didn't know if it was going to sink or swim during production. Luckily, people stepped up to insist on a different director, but stupid Singer got the credit.
The movie is great but it's not a documentary (the timeline is really mixed up.) Could you please react to Queen's set at Live Aid (the Mundo do Rock HD upload)? A few other recs for you - 'I Want It All', 'Princes of the Universe', 'You're My Best Friend'.
clue_girl yep, they did take a few liberties to run the story faster. The timing of "We Will Rock You" is definitely off, I'm sure it may have happened that kind of way, but they used "Paul Prenter" as a creative affect for dramatic purposes. And the AIDS part is off. I think they wanted to ensure it was / is addressed but wanted Live Aid as the band's crescendo. I'm sure that was due to time as well as the change in the director's chair. But, that being said, the movie was very enjoyable yet was touching to protect Freddie's privacy to this day. Freddie wouldn't have wanted his personal struggles to be aired. He was private until the very end. That was of utmost importance of the band. I believe John Deacon was ok with it as his son made a cameo. Overall, I was not disappointed at all. In fact, I went into it with a high bar set. The film surpassed that bar and made me feel like Freddie was back with us..even if it was only 2 hours. Bravo to the cast! They were absolutely brilliant! I too, would suggest watching a verified Queen documentary that showcases all the band, family and friends. There are a couple out there that are absolute rubbish.
@@CBGB_1977 Yes the film was great for what it was - a brief history of the band and a celebration of its music. The best documentaries I've seen are 'Days of Our Lives' and 'The Great Pretender.'
I saw "Bohemian Rhapsody" the week it came out. At the end, the audience stood up and applauded the movie. I have only seen that once before. I also bought the DVD when it came out. Even though the remaining bands members gave input to the film, Hollywood had to romanticize the story with compression of incidents and misrepresentations (Freddie's Brazilian boyfriend was ignored). I can never watch the end of the film with the Live Aid content without crying. Same with reactions to Live Aid.

If you're looking for other queen songs I'll skip the standards 'cause they're sure to be suggested, but one that I feel brings me so much joy but is overlooked is " Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy." It makes me smile and sing along every time. That and "It's a Hard Life." That one is one that makes me start it over if it comes up in my playlist and I have been appreciating it fully when it's playing. Keep at it. I fully enjoy your videos.

It was just hard for me to watch anyone other than Freddie, The Real Man Himself, weaving his own personal magic onstage and with the audience.) SO...go watch the movie and THEN look up the Mundo do Rock version of Live Aid...and use it for your next reaction!
My husband made me watch the Queen movie a little while back. I'm ashamed to say that I knew who Queen was but never really knew who they were or much about them besides Bohemian Rhapsody (which was in the Wayne's World movie (yes, I'm old)). I watched it and just absolutely fell in love with Queen. The movie was awesome and the highlights of all of their music was perfect. I definitely gained a deep appreciation of their music because of the movie.
Please please please Clay Walker - Before She was Mama I've been stuck home with the flu for a week No no will ever be Freddie!, He will ways be missed, I was 11 when he passed away, it shock met to my core, I knew what the world had lost had lost as a whole the only times I have felt that feeling since we're when David Bowie, Tom Petty, and Prince died
He actually wrote this song for his Manager, who, although not gay, or Bisexual. Several of the"Odd" references in it were things that were In reference to Items or conversations they had through the years. So THAT, makes MANY of the, "Unknown and Odd references make MUCH MORE SENSE, Once you hear it explained by the Manager in the story after Freddie's death, they make perfect sense. He, (Freddie) was an Undying Oprah Enthusiasm, and Performed with SEVERAL Of his most Revered Opera Singers on several Occasions; and he was FANTASTIC at it!
I just discovered all these Queen reaction videos. I just thought you guys should know Bohemian Rhapsody is about someone being accused by their girlfriend of crimes against the relationship and after she pronounces the death sentence, his reaction is "So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye?" and he leaves the relationship. I'm 62, great college music.
Great reaction. its amazing that for the past 40+ years Queen is still considered to be one of the greatest bands ever! In case your wondering, or haven't guessed the whole part in the song about the mother and "killing a man" a lot of people think its possibly the lead singer, Freddie Mercury coming to terms with being bisexual and in the 70's that was way taboo. Through the song he could be telling his mom and all his loved ones that the old straight Freddie they used to know is "dead'. However, its left open to interpretation, thats just one of them. Making this song music video at the time was actually a huge gamble for them cause it had never been done before and would either make or break them. These guys still stand up today because they sound just as good or even better live alongside their studio recordings cause of their pure talent and even now their works are a breath of fresh air. Queen's music is so diverse, timeless and put the "rage" in outrageous! I saw the movie and I totally loved it and therefore give it my highest recommendation. it deserved every award nomination and win it got! while clearly some things are either glossed over, scrunched together, ignored or altered, I just go with the flow and love it anyway. it still does a phenomenal job telling how they got started, broke music barriers, totally went the distance and made music history! Queen guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor consulted/produced with making the film, mentored their younger doppelgängers and gave it their gold seal of approval. Keep in mind, from the get go, they didn't want to make a documentary, but a family portrait to truly capture Freddie's humanity and sensitivity as well as his creativity and stage presence. here's a behind the scenes interview with Roger and Brian. ruclips.net/video/bVDHN52RnlM/видео.html&frags=pl%2Cwn enjoy.
Nice reaction to a classic song. I love watching reaction videos to music that I grew up with. It's kinda like hearing it for the first time again, but through fresh ears. Check out Electric Wizard - Funeralopolis, one of the heaviest songs ever recorded.
I so agree with you, nothing better than the original! The movie is good, just keep in mind that it’s a docudrama. Their timing and the circumstances around Freddie’s health and the timing of some things are sketchy. Still really good.
The song was made with barely anything amazing except for what we had in that era of music. Now we have everything we can create with a touch of a finger but Freddy and the boys did a all by themselves they created a masterpiece after masterpiece of music without having to cheat to put anything else in there
It's kind of cool that you listened to other Queen songs(all great) first. I like it less when a person doesn't say much in a reaction too. Well done. Lastly, since you asked... I always try to recommend my favorite band XTC. They're very underappreciated for their longevity and creativity. Senses Working Overtime is a good song to start with. I'll still watch you though.
One of my favorite songs by Queen is "39" , Freddie is not the lead on this one on the album (A Night at the opera) Brian May is. Freddie was lead vocal for lives. Death on Two Legs & You're my Best Friend are from same album
@@CBGB_1977 the sad thing is all those times were at the Theater!!! Bought the dvd but dont have a dvd player yet. I'm a 60 yr old woman who loved Freddie and Queen but have become slightly obsessed since the movie. Got a Freddie related tattoo and have a design already in mind for 2 more!!!
Now try Somebody to Love -- the original recording is awesome, but lots of people love the LIVE performance at Toronto 1981 -- I actually think that if you hear the original you will appreciate the live version more... shows the real talents of the band ....
Saw the movie about a week or two ago.. movie was ok. It definitely was not what I expected. I had expected "The story of Queen" but it was more "The story of Freddie Mercury." Just know what you'll be watching if you go to see it. ;) Peace
This is the link for ”Bohemian Rhapsody” in the movie ”Wayne’s World”: ruclips.net/video/thyJOnasHVE/видео.html Also, Wayne (Mike Myers) in ”Wayne’s World”, played the EMI Records Executive Ray Foster in the movie ”Bohemian Rhapsody”. He played the guy who refused to allow Queen to make their single ”Bohemian Rhapsodyl, and he sure regretted that decision. Last thing, you will also recognize Mike Myers who was the star in EVERY ”Austin Powers” movie. In those movies he played of course ”Austin Powers”, ”Fat Bastard”, ”Dr. Evil” and ”Goldmember”. He also at one point from 1999-2011 was on ”Saturday Night Live”. Sincerely Original Fat Bottom Girl from Old HB NYC, I'm not Freakin kidding!!!!!

Watch these are the days of our lives .
Please please please Clay Walker - Before She was Mama
I've been stuck home with the flu for a week
No no will ever be Freddie!, He will ways be missed, I was 11 when he passed away, it shock met to my core, I knew what the world had lost had lost as a whole the only times I have felt that feeling since we're when David Bowie, Tom Petty, and Prince died
The movie was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!
Waynes world party time excellent 😁
Nice reaction man. Great tune and video. ☮️
The movie was awesome!! Respectively done. The original band members were involved in the making of this movie, Cheers!
The movie was phenomenal and scooped the Oscars this year (it won the most Oscars out of any movie this year, Rami Malek was phenomenal).
Party on, Wayyyynnne!
Only one man comes close and that’s your boy Brendon Urie. Watch the Panic! cover of this song live on the Death of a Bachelor tour!!
Yes - just buy it and enjoy
Love Queen
THE MOVIE WAS BLOODY FRICKIN GOOD
Yes it IS!!
You Should Definitely See The Movie “Bohemian Rhapsody” it’s Really Good
I so agree with you, nothing better than the original! The movie is good, just keep in mind that it’s a docudrama. Their timing and the circumstances around Freddie’s health and the timing of some things are sketchy. Still really good.
The movie was good!! Definitely worth watching!!
Also- Freddie Mercury is a legend!!
Bohemian rhapsody movie was lit!! 💥🔥🔥
Mikaela Josefina so true
The movie was awesome. Bought the collectors pack with the t-shirt the day it came out.
Usually a cover is not mean by the person covering to beat the original, it is done out of respect and in honor of the original.
Of course, and a big pile of cash can be a pretty good incentive for everyone else.
@@watzizname Hence the usually.
The movie was FIRE!!!! iv'e seen it 4 times now!!!!
Great song, great reaction and yes, that movie is excellent. You should watch it if you haven't yet.
Great movie it one all kinds of awards including best actor. ❤️
Ain’t nothing like the real thang, baby.
It's weird to hear the blast the blast from the past you remember or I remember what I was actually doing first time I heard this song nice memories
One of my favorite songs by Queen is "39" , Freddie is not the lead on this one on the album (A Night at the opera) Brian May is. Freddie was lead vocal for lives. Death on Two Legs & You're my Best Friend are from same album
Right on dude. So glad you enjoyed that.
I saw the movie. It is really good. It is worth seeing.
I've seen it 17 times, so yeah, it's awesome!
Got u beat Danielle. 32 times here😀
Hahaha! I love it! The Blu-ray player is going to blow up soon! Lol!
Go get the DVD and you will love it!
can u react to panic at the disco's cover of bohemian rhapsody? you're gonna love it so much man, really
Your favorite part reminds me of Wayne's World, from the 90s. All I want to do.is head bang. 😁
Yes it is a good movie very revealing about queen!!!!
I had expected "The story of Queen" but it was more "The story of Freddie Mercury."
Just know what you'll be watching if you go to see it. ;)
Peace
👉Queenz🤙 Rhapsody for ever👍 great choice Billy
Need to react to Tie your mother down & Now I’m here live at Wembley 1982. Pure rock you’ll love it. 🎸🎸
The movie is fantastic! Highly recommended 👍👍
This is the best. I just found your channel and I am enjoying it. The movie was great, pretty close to the truth. Keep up the videos.
Hope everyone stays free of the Covid 19.
I Love You. 🙋🌹🌹🌹
This is the link for ”Bohemian Rhapsody” in the movie ”Wayne’s World”: ruclips.net/video/thyJOnasHVE/видео.html
Also, Wayne (Mike Myers) in ”Wayne’s World”, played the EMI Records Executive Ray Foster in the movie ”Bohemian Rhapsody”.
PLEASE check out Queen. Live in Montreal 1981. " someone to love" Awesome song!! Best live performance and Freddy really shows his true personality.. thanks!!!
Thanks for doing this one!
Please watch the BoRhap documentary, Dr. Brian May (lead guitarist) explains how it was done. It is SO fascinating how they had to do it ‘back then’ (which was MY time LOL!) it will give you an entire new outlook on the song! ❤️❤️
Btw - I love when reactors stop the video to react to it, otherwise it's just people staring at the video with a blank face, then asking for subs at the end
The movie is a fantastic movie man. You definitely should see it.
The movie is as accurate as it can possibly be - according to Brian & Roger. The biggest issue is only the timelines of when certain things happened. But everything in the movie is pretty accurate.
