Queen was an EXTREMELY talented band throughout. Freddie's voice was one of the strongest and unique of all time. RIP Freddie, long live Queen! Brian May on guitar is actually an astrophysicist!
Queen is Legendary and always will be..Amazing chemistry, totally focused, very harmonized, and a lot of energy. Freddie, Brian, Roger and John, best musicians by far. Don't forget Roger's backing vocals while playing the drums. Concerts are not like that today. No lip syncing whatsoever. Pure talent. ❤️🔥 "I'M NOT GOING TO BE A ROCK STAR" "I'M GOING TO BE A LEGEND" - FREDDIE MERCURY He never dies because he lives in his songs and our hearts. LOVE YOU FREDDIE MERCURY ❤️
Queen is such a amazing band, and Freddie Mercury is a once in a life time talent. He was self taught as well, making it even more impressive. The only vocal training he had was when he performed in the school choir, when he was a child. Also I can't leave without giving Roger Taylor a mention, his backing vocals are great. Playing drums at the same time really cant be a easy thing to do.
While there was plenty of beer on the piano, Freddie will usually only drink from a cup with a mixture of tea, lemon and honey during performances to soothe his throat (outside of performances, vodka was his favorite drink. BTW in ' 81 I was 36; only 1 child, but with my 2nd (and still current) wife.
Went to see them as a sixteen year old in Manchester England. Got in early, jumped the massive fence and ripped my pants from the back of my belt to my bollocks.. and I got caught and thrown back. Still, to this day, one of the best days of my life brother. To watch these guys banging out somebody to love, bohemian rhapsody, etc.... unforgettable.. good job💯💯👍
30, I'm an old broad. Entire concert was amazing. Great reaction. Btw, thank you for all the videos you do dedicated to our military and vets, much appreciated. (edit sp)
I saw Queen on this tour in Baltimore, August of 1980. If they did the same setlist, this was just the fourth song into the show. Freddie owned the crowd the moment he stepped on the stage.
You should do a reaction to this song from the tribute concert for Freddie where George Michael sung this! Amazing!!! Also George Michael songs in general!! Either official vids or live. Those two were the best live singers!
15 in 1981! Cried the day Freddie died and of course, it still hurts. Coming up on 30 years. Thank goodness for efforts like yours to keep the music alive via RUclips. Great job!
5...My parents, and Aunt & Uncle were at this concert, and said it was AMAZING, I just wish I was old enough to go myself❣ We were visiting my Dad's family during this time, because he was getting stationed in CA, and we didn't know when we'd be able to see them again. They're live performances are better than they're studio albums...FOR THEY'RE BEST LIVE PERFORMANCE EVER, YOU HAVE TO DO LIVE AID 1985 FULL SET, (it's about 20 minutes, it doesn't feel like it...but leaves you wanting more), They Stole The Show❣ Great Reaction 💖🤘😘 BTW...THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE 🇺🇸 🙏💝✌
Everything that came out of this band was a masterpiece and yes you do need to check out their live set from live aid. It shows the connection they had with the fans where they would mimic everything he did. Freddie Mecury was one of a kind.
Queen with Freddie Mercury singing. God there was nothing better. 40 years later there still isn’t. Go down the rabbit hole man. Try Live at Hyde Park 1976 You Take My Breath Away
I was 23 If you ever have a chance to see the entire performance of those 2 nights it will amaze you. Best live concert in my opinion.November 24 Tuesday and Wednesday, November 25
@@Terri6868 yes it is he provided all the drinks for Freddie & John & lots of other things along with setting up the equipment you should read his book it’s very interesting reading about what it’s like to be a roadie touring with the greatest rock band 🎸 x
I was 8 years old in 1981. My older cousins in the Netherlands were all huge Queen fans and it was the first popular music I became aware of. They were the biggest band in the world at the time. Also, Freddie drinks from a paper cup. That's tea with honey and lemon for his voice. He wasn't hitting the beer four songs into a show.
I was 22 years old in 1981, I remember it like yesterday. Married in 1982, and by 1987 I had three kids. 😁❤️ I’ve been. Queen fan since Killer Queen was released in 1974, when I was 15. Wow, I’m definitely feeling old, but I was privileged to grow up with some of the best music ever made. Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Phil Collins, Rod Stewart...Freddie is my love though. I hope you continue to react to Queen, they were so diverse, you won’t ever find 2 songs the same. You most probably know Another One Bites the Dust, do the live version at Wembley. ruclips.net/video/USh-cvBCLcw/видео.html
A couple of buddies of mine in junior college cut classes to make the 13 hour drive from Moncton to Montreal to see them. I wasn't a big enough fan then, so I passed. I was 24.
I was 4 in '81. I remember my dad putting the records on and playing his acoustic along and both of us singing. Dad had probably 200-300 records from 1960 onwards, including one from his own garage band. I think the only Queen record he got was Sheer Heart Attack, after that he got everything on tape, but Queen was always fun to sing along with, because we could make up our own harmonies on the fly, so every time it sounded a little different.
My favorite Queen song in the world. It is my ringtone!! I will & have watched all performances of this song a million times!! Goosebumps my friends!! This song was written by Freddie inspired by the great Aretha Franklin! Yes very gospel sounding!! Hmmmmm - 1981 I was getting married to my first husband and oh how I wished someone had warned me of the impending DOOM that was to befall me!! But I did get three great kids out of the deal and now have three adorable grandkids!! Let’s get to Freddie ... G.O.A.T. Last year voted best vocalist in the world & Queen best live rock band of all time!! Btw, the cups on the piano were water, tea, lemon water, & the occasional sips of beer. The Heineken is strategically placed for advertising (label is facing the camera)!! 👏👏👏👏
With all the studio magic now days, it is hard to find a band that sounds as good live as their recorded music. With Queen they were so good and so damn entertaining they were 100 times better live than recorded
Please do Queen Play the Game Live at the bowl. 1981 I was 23....and lucky to have been at the Bowl, Milton Keynes, June 1982. You won't be disappointed.
I was 4 years old when this came out. Great song, I might be in the minority but I think the best live version of this song was at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert in 1992 at Wembley Stadium with George Michael on the vocals.
Fabulous! Queen still are the genuine article! Its been a while since your last Queen reaction! Aside from beer and water on the piano, Freddie also had hot lemon honey drinks to soothe his vocal cords because, though they made it look like a walk in the park, their music is NOT easy to sing.
Great reaction my friend. I was 15 yrs old and in the 8th grade and living in the great state of Texas. Take care my friend. Have a good day your friend, QUEEN BEE.
I was 1+ years old, depending on the time of concert ( born end of 79 ) wish I could of seen them live but I was too young, but did see/watch live aid concert on TV
I was a year old in 1981. Fact: Superman wears a Freddie Mercury t-shirt. John Deacon always looked like he was shopping for paint at Home Depot. I would get drunk on Sundays during football season and go to work on Monday without a hangover. Key was 2 aspirin and a big glass of water before I started drinking. I stopped drinking 10 years ago and I've had two swigs of whiskey since; 1 came when the Cubs were one out away from winning the World Series and the other was when they won the World Series. It beat the original plan of dancing on my roof naked.
Freddie had nodules on his vocal cords by this time, which made singing quite painful. He was drinking tea with honey, which helped soothe his throat. He refused to have them removed, for fear it would damage his singing voice. Eventually the nodules made it very difficult for him to hit the higher notes.
Freddie drinks a concoction of Honey and lemon and what ever else added to help his vocal chords like many singers do..Rob Halford of Judas Priest also drinks it.
14 years of age. Wish I had the chance to see them live. Have you reacted to live aid performance? Movie doesn't quite do it justice. Also, I want it all and The show must go on, would make for good reaction videos. I, very much, enjoy your channel.
I'm not 100 percent positive, but I am pretty sure that the sip he took near the end was from one of the 3 paper cups that contained honey and lemon tea, as opposed to the plastic cups that held beer.
OMG FACTS LOL people showing up to PT at 630 smell coming out of their pores man they regretted it after lmao if you liked this you should react to their live aid performance! #bingers
We need to give a shout out to Roger Taylor! The man plays the drums & sings (microphone to the side) his butt off & sounds 🔥 FABULOUS! I love Queen!
Roger was so excellent on backing vocals!

This live version is better than the studio version, IMO.

The legends that are Queen and the legend that is the one and only sexy once in a lifetime talent genius Freddie Mercury
14! That mic was handed to him by his roadie Ratty aka Peter Hince.. Ratty took great care of Freddie. 😊
Yup, and IIRC, that was the man's ONLY job, just making sure Freddie got his wonky mic at the right moment, and being ready to take it back whenever.
I always wanted his job 😀😀
