Alan Jackson - Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning 3. Same with Whitney Houston and her iconic Star Spangled Banner rendition. Truly amazing singers, both of them. Too bad Whitney couldn't drop the drugs. I miss her still.
Fun fact: James Cameron, the director of Titanic, didn't actually want a song with lyrics for the movie. He just wanted instrumental music in it. But when he heard the song, he was instantly sold and put it in the movie.
It sounds so much better instrumental though. I have disliked this song for 24 years now. I was five years old when I heard this song. The movie came out when I was in kindergarten. I have seen this movie twice. Both times I felt like I wasted my time watching it. I am not a Kate Winslet fan or Leonardo DiCaprio fan at all.
In my opinion; Leonardo DiCaprio deserved to win an Oscar for Best Actor in "Titanic." However, the friendship he has with Kate Winslet is more than sufficient as their friendship has endured for twenty-six years. Kate Winslet is still so gorgeous and Leonardo DiCaprio is still quite handsome. When Leonardo finally won an Oscar for his movie "The Revenant" in 2016 Kate teared up during his acceptance speech.
Not sure why since I get seasick and am not a fan of large bodies of water, but I've been obsessed with the Titanic since I was a little kid. The exhibit toured the U.S. ten years or so ago and I saw it in Atlanta. Bought a trinket in which there is coal from the ship, a keepsake I treasure. There was a survivor of the sinking with my last name from the same place my father's family was originally from, but I've never tried to figure out if there's any relation. Not sure I want to know.
@@3ScotsInk I've been obsessed too since I was little, my mum started telling me about the ship when the news started talking about James Cameron making his movie. I've never seen the exhibit though, I'm sure that must be quite the experience for Titanic-nerds like us. That's interesting, I would have wanted to know more about this survivor but I understand that you're not sure. My paternal grandmother knew the sons of one of the men who lost his life during the sinking, I don't remember what she said about him but I remember finding information about him in one of my books when I was spending the night at her house and she randomly mentioned him, although I don't remember much from that evening (she passed away in 2001 so it's a long time ago) I remember it was a nice bonding-moment for us.

I figured it out, and if I start the movie at 8:03 p.m. (I'm in the Pacific time zone) this evening (April 14), the ship will sink on film at the same minute that the actual ship went down.
By the way, Celine lived that kind of love - until her husband died a few years ago, she had only been with him her entire life. Such an inspiring love.
That's amazing same thing for George strait with his wife even to the point where he wouldn't kiss the love interest in the movie pure country which is just so awesome

This song made the film extra epic! If you have never listened to the celebrated Barbra Streisand, she and Celine did a duet called "Tell Him" that you should check out sometime😊
Today this song has great meaning in Celine's life, because in 2016 her husband and brother died in the same week. It was something that made Céline very sad, this song is like talking about her
i was BEYOND obsessed with this movie. i saw it twenty-nine times in theaters, and at over three hours, i basically spent that entire year in a theater. lol
This song and the movie are deeply emotional for me, as both came out two years after my late husband Tim died of AIDS on February 20th, 1995. Like Rose only had Jack in her life very briefly, but as the song says, Tim touched me for a lifetime. Also, like this song also says, 26 years since his passing, I continue to feel Tim's presence and that connection is one of the main reasons I am able to keep going, why "my heart will go on and on."
I'm loving the more relaxed Billy that we've been seeing recently. I'm glad that things seem to be going well for you and you're back to enjoying this again! And this song will always remind me of 6th grade considering it became the theme for every dance it seemed lol.
This song was composed by the great James Horner. The soundtrack to this film is one of my favorites overall and favorite amongst James Horner's work. RIP to this man. I'm glad Celine Dion took the chance to do it even though she was reluctant to do another power ballad during her this time in her career after coming off her Falling Into You World Tour and the Beauty and the Beast OST. Hearing the second half to the song brings me back to my teen years - this song was everywhere and reminiscent of Whitney's I will always love you era. Good tears!
When I played the violin(back when I was like 5) - my final year playing the violin this was the song we did. I had a major solo....not a dry eye in the house :'(
You caught me off guard with your hello intro 😆. But yeah I remember when I watched Titanic growing up in the 90s on the two VHS tapes. The split was perfect between one tape to the other. This song is my karaoke go to. I love it so much though because she's nice and gentle and then slowly builds it up and you're just blown away
Haha I remember exactly where the first tape left off. It was right after the Captain says “I believe you may get your headline, Mr. Ismay” because Mr. Andrews had just explained that the ship would sink in the next hour or two. The second tape started with Cal slapping Rose for cheating on him. Oh the 90s 😆

My teenage self was obsessed with this movie. I had it on VHS and would watch one of the tapes every day after school for a couple of monhts. I still know every word to the movie. And this song, no matter how many times I hear it, still makes me feel a little choked up.
Céline is very expressive when she sings, a lot of emotions come to us with her voice, and her face too, I very love Céline ❤️ (the singer and the woman she is), and her concerts are always phenomenals🙌🙌
It blows my mind there are adults who still have never seen Titanic I was 10 when it came out and saw it 3 times and saw it for the 4th time when it was re-released in theaters for the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. Titanic is actually only 1 of the handful of movies I've seen multiple times in theaters. My sister who was 13 at the time it came out saw it 13 times in theaters. She loved Leonardo Dicaprio.

Celine recorded this song once, and it was just a demo, something that hardly any other artist can do today. And it was PERFECT.
That was an old Karen Carpenter trick...
Talent will out! And Karen had it, and Celine still does.
That really is mind blowing. A demo of the song which eventually became an all time hit instantly. I wonder how many artist could do it.

Omg, must see movie. Especially the end when the song starts. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
This song always gives me chills ❤
This song is absolutely one of my favorites and even the movie, the pure talent she when she does this song and it's only a one take song, I do like this one cover as well by a artist named Caleb Hyles, he does a amazing job as well
My teenage self was obsessed with this movie.
20+ years later and she is still performing this song live. Saw her in January last year and it was flawless - everyone lost their minds!
I can't wait for you to watch titanic! It will always remain my all time favourite film
Billy you really do need to watch the video it is soooooooo good and far better than most thought it would be.
That ship was stunningly beautiful
