Fascinatingly, South Africa have never lost a final or conceded a try in a final. My guess is this will change next week. I hope the Boks can match the ABs to make it a great game. I really hope the weather cooperates, no one gets sent off, and the ref doesn't have to make a massive penalty call in the last minute to make or break the game.
Massive respect to both teams for making it this far. A LOT of people are unhappy that it's the same teams AGAIN, but I don't care. We have had some amazing battles between the two teams over the years and hopefully the world can appreciate that.

Love Handre but our backline is out of sync with him trying to run and all he does is take the ball up himself or kickpass. Will that be enough? The AB's would have watched the Qtr against France and saw how they created space. We scrambled far too much for a usually locked down defense. Who will apply the most pressure and win those painful moments, who has more in their book of plays like the Wallabies team of 1999. I can't call this one, but I am so looking forward to it.

They are prob more ready than the boks but the boys have left quite a few good player on the side lines , moody , Klein, esterheizen, etc for the last 3 weeks. Springboks would be silly not to Start Pollard for this game, it's no discredit to Libbok its simply horses for courses, especially if the weather is questionable again which it is. NZ are looking very fresh where as SA have had to dig incredibly deep the last two games, how they recover this week will be vital.

SA fans are going to dislike or hate me for this. Sorry in advance.
But the Springboks looked extremely tired against England. Steven Kitshoff and Frans Malherbe looked off the pace, and it showed right up until Ox Nche came on. Siya Kolisi and Eben Etzebeth coming off so early shows they were beat up in the forwards. The only starting forwards for South Africa that are playing well are Pieter-Steph du Toit and Bongi Mbonambi. Why arent South Africa starting Ox Nche, the guy is a beast! Hands down one of the best if not the best props in world rugby.
The All Blacks look fresh and ready, small pieces of rotation have worked out well. Brodie Retallick coming off the bench against Argentina means he starts against the Springboks, and Sam Whitelock goes back to the bench. Although you have to wonder about Ardie playing all the minutes.
Selections are going to be important, but I don't expect either sides to make many changes.

The truth is that I will be a gutted bok supporter if we lose the final, but losing to the mighty All Blacks is not something we will need to feel ashamed about. As an armchair observer it seems like the boks might have already emptied their tank with those tough games against Ireland, Scotland, Tonga, France and even the Poms were a tough opponent, the AB's have only had 2 tough games and could very well have more energy than the boks in the final. Hoping that Jacques and Rassie can pull a few tricks out the hat for this one.
Finally a big thanks to Jacques from bok supporters for the role you played in giving us something to be proud of again and all the best for your new venture in Ireland, it's going to be hard for us if you end up coaching another team against the boks though, but somehow it sort of feels inevitable.

Bring back JK😭😭😅😅 Wanted to hear his views on us again. This is a World Cup final. The Springboks will be a different team compared to last week. Especially after seeing the videos of the celebration by the entire country this last weekend.
But the South African defense has been exposed by France and England. Play at immense speed and you beat the Boks. Springboks slow the game down by winning set-pieces.
However, the last World Cup final we played, we played a different game plan from what the world was expecting. Rassie is cooking something.

As a 40 year kiwi supported. NZ has beaten SA more since the professional era both teams have given each other their worst ever losses. SA have won 3 out of 7 world cups they competed in as they were not allowed in the first 2 cups (87, 91) the first ever one they hosted they won. they also won 2/3 of those world cups abroad. NZ however have won 3 out of 9 world cups having competed in all of them and have Won 2 of those in NZ. SA have also never lost the final of the rugby World Cup being 3/3 so in that sense SA is the better World Cup team It’s going to be a nightmare game
