I agree. The Springboks have had to climb Mt Everest to reach the finals. They've done it with so much belief in each other along with all their loyal supporters.
As reigning champions, they were always going to get the hard road to the finals.
As for the All Blacks, they were written off before the start of this tournament. After losing a Test series on home soil to Ireland, receiving a humiliating hiding from SA in a warm-up match, then lose to France in the opening game of the RWC. No one gave them a chance at all. They were highly criticised, and no one ever believed they would get past the No1 team in the world, Ireland.
But, here we are. The two greatest rugby nations in the world, getting ready to lock horns. They both deserve to be in the finals for the world to admire. Couldn't be more proud of them both. May the best team win on the day.

Don't spoil Boks as Boring Box kick team narrative, they all want to re-design Rugby in a way where RSA cant be competitive anymore, amazing how NZ & its game is accepted and RSA's is not. Boks scored more tries than everyone they knocked out in each game, and vs Ireland their loss they drew 1 each and left a possible victory in kicks behind. As a Bok supporter i think the AB are the favourites going into the final. We looked extremely tired against England. That tough QF against France took it out of us. I really hope we will be recovered for the final.

no idea how u can disapprove of south africa's playstyle after what they've shown this wc. so much beautiful running rugby with literally the smallest players in tier one rugby (kolbe, arendse, kwagga, faf, cobus, williams) being at the forefront of our defense and attack showing pace and physicality. putting all creeds colours and sizes in this squad with equal responsibility is nothing but fantastic for the game

History has taught that being the favorite isn't always relevant.
I hated the quality of rugby the Boks produced, but I absolutely loved the comeback. I would rather have a terrible semi-final and still qualify for the final than having an easy semi-final. However it's going to play out, it's going to be an epic battle
Other teams have done all the kicking mate. Just didn't have the same result as SA
With the rainy weather it was bound to come down to kicking and scores on both sides expected to be on the low side. England is renowned for kicking and you need to keep the score board ticking even if it is with inches. South Africa has done more than enough to show they have a fast back line + a power forward pack, they can play expansive rugby, they can play with the high ball, not even the small guys are scared of tackles and they have outstanding defence. They have also proven themselves as a very entertaining team to watch. Yet, SA is continuously punted as the 'bad rugby role model' for youngsters, simply because ABs want to change rugby. Then create your own rugby-footy and leave rugby as it has been for over a century. Why is rugby not divided, like boxing, into heavy, middle, light, bantam weight etc? Then teams can punch in the weight-categories that work for them. Well done Bokke, you have not had the easiest of routes to the finals.

The hate against SA style of rugby is incredible. We don’t just kick. All teams kick. We play beautiful attacking rugby too. We do what it takes to win.
As a 40 year kiwi supported. NZ has beaten SA more since the professional era both teams have given each other their worst ever losses. SA have won 3 out of 7 world cups they competed in as they were not allowed in the first 2 cups (87, 91) the first ever one they hosted they won. they also won 2/3 of those world cups abroad. NZ however have won 3 out of 9 world cups having competed in all of them and have Won 2 of those in NZ. SA have also never lost the final of the rugby World Cup being 3/3 so in that sense SA is the better World Cup team It’s going to be a nightmare game
Obviously still a little disappointed Ireland won't be there. But I can put it to one side and enjoy this game. I think this is going to be an excellent game. To me these two teams are very different teams but both are fantastic

If it puts points on the board and it wins games, there is nothing wrong with the style of play. Other teams should take notes. He doesn’t need to worry though because the game is dynamic; teams are constantly trying to outsmart each other and play to their strengths.

The biggest thing that needs to change in Rugby is the constant invasion of the pitch by Water Staff and Medics. It is crazy, I see more water people then players, constant breaks. Speed the game up so we see some Rugby.

@@Mark777h nah. Boks will be up for it. Amazing experience the boks have pulling the last 2 games back to win it at the death, which is experience that NZ does not have. It means they can both defend a lead and chase it down in the last 20.
But I can see the ABs targeting bongi until he is out on his feet, and if he goes off they will start kicking it out and targeting the bok lineout. If we had Marx I wouldn’t have so much trepidation.

The Boks looked tired. And no clear game plan for when it rains. Rain is predicted for the final. That nullifies our speedsters and levels out the scrumming advantage we may have. Against England, our only hooker looked totally out of sorts and we lost a lot of lineouts.
The AB's are better rested, and are experienced in wet weather. You would need to hope for a miracle, for the Boks to win this final.
Either I don't know my rugby or everyone here is fooling themselves. For me, New Zealand come out as clear winners in a game with plenty of tries. Never underestimate the All Blacks

But they have bonded more stronger than ever since those two games.
This won't be easy for them, but going on their form the past two weeks, they will be hard to beat.

When teams are 50/50 that power is the difference
South Africa were fatigued today, they have had two more hard tests than New Zealand recently, with Ireland and Scotland, and now a third. They also have a days less rest. Ireland paid the.price for playing thrir best team 3 in a row, bokke nearly did today. The Abs had 1 hard match ( which didnt matter) three easy ones, A really hard one, then an easy one. They will be fresher. Also they kept the young front row, Tamaiti, samisoni, and Newell fresh as replacement, by using the old firm Tuingafasi, and Laulala rotating instead. We have no excuses next week, and usually beat Bokke at world cups away from home, and in all tests ever
Good point about the squad rotation and match schedules. NZ really only had one must win competitive game. Italy and Argentina are well off the pace. Much fresher side with another revenge narrative to fuel the fire.
It seems the AB discipline cost them in the final, very strange to have this issue with them. Boks just managed the game once again to win with one point.

SA are definitely the underdogs, they are fatigued and battered after a very tough run, the AB's are on form and peaking at the right time and are looking to settle the score after Twickenham, good luck to both teams, hoping SA lift the cup.
