I couldn't watch the final penalty kick from Pollard. First time I've ever done that, had to leave the room and came back in afterwards to see he'd got it. That was the most stressful game of the WC I think, mostly because it would have been so terrible to lose to England.

I said to my wife during the game when we were 6-15 down with 14 odd minutes to play, us South Africans don't take lying down and admitting defeat very well. At the time, neither of us knew if the Boks would be able to overturn the deficit. But overcome it they did, because THEY knew, even if we didn't. And that's why they are world champs. Because they never stop believing.
