Another great video. I'm waiting for the Gen 3 manual video, myself. But I do enjoy learning how each generation can be improved based on it's specific potential.
You younger guys pay attention to these videos. They're a gift I promise you. I'm older and back in the day, we never had someone with practical experience simply lay things out for us as well as Alex is doing here for you Coyote guys. Thumbs up.
Managed several 10.90's @124 at SGMP in my 14' in good air. DA usually hovered around sea level or just below and water grains were typically low 20's to get it there, low water grains were my main concern. Car is a base 300A and was on 93 with factory interior. Race weight (same at all times) was 3540lbs. I had a 5C but always thought it needed more. The Boss was my intake of choice.
Talking from experience here ‼️ and I have countless street racing videos to prove me gapping gen2-3 yotes, 8&10 speed maros and more with my 2013 GEN1 I ran 10.8 Lund Tune , 3.73 gears , Cobra jet Mani w monoblade TB, Pmas cai, e85 , 4C stall , stage 3 NA cams. I later started to run C85 & got optic armor front and rear lexan windshield, Kirky seat, strange racing front rotor & calipers , fatHouse fab lightweight battery so I’m sure with the weight I saved it was faster then my PB 10.8 . Yes I had stuff Alex just said wasn’t necessary like a 1 piece driveshaft , suspension all the way from front to rear tubular members. Getting a gen1 coyote into the 10s is easy but expensive ur better off going boost I learned that the hard way . Ended up going twin turbo .
I followed these steps on my Gen 1 6R80 car and then put a vortech on it and I absolutely love it Love the vids, knowledge and suggestions that come from you Alex keep it up brother !!
Keep up the great videos, school is in session! I’m personally waiting for Gen 2 6R80 and Gen 3 10R80. I would like to thank you, Alex for taking time out of your busy schedule to put this series of videos together. I hope you had a great weekend and Memorial Day!
Keep these coming bro they’re awesome. I can’t wait for the gen 3 to see what my options are after e85,ambient air intake and ffe on my pp1 2020 auto. I know it’s only an auto but it’s already way faster than my old sn95 5.0 with a bunch of boltons and juice. Thanks for all the great info you’ve been doling out on ur videos.
Get rid of the stock 235 tires Alex, thats the first mod. You're in 12s. A boss 302, e85 tune, weld racing wheels, skinnies up front, 305 out back, runs 11.9 under 500 DA. BTW circle D said a 3c or 4d converter gets you .3-.4 time reduction
These videos are great for people who are too lazy to go back & look at your other videos. Much appreciated I'm sure. Back when I was NA in my14 gen 1, I had a ported boss intake, full suspension, pilot sports, borla headers, borla catback & X pipe. Air aid intake, injectors & a tune by you. Very stout & fun ride. I added a paxton with a 3.6 & other support mods a couple years ago. Been a super fun & reliable car still but I'm going to sell it & buy a zo6 c6 this summer. Super informative!
Great stuff Alex. I ran a gt350 mani on my 13gt. 3c and mods u suggested car ran great. Best was 11 4 @120 1800ft da. Then went tvs and wished I stayed NA
For the money and effort, rear suspension mods provide a very nice improvement and should be included in the high zoot 10 second set up. That's for N/A. Any positive displacement supercharging, I think it's mandatory to have rear suspension mods.
As always thank you for your informative video. I live in California and the emission nanny guys are very nosey when it comes to mods, especially the Mustangs. So I am now living vicariously through you. However, my 2013 Mustang GT with the Track Pack is a manual. KEEP ON ROCKING!
I did 12.1 with just a tune Or/X in my 6r80 GT in 1000 ish DA on a stock converter. The 6r80 torque converter is the biggest setback when trying to go faster
They did lots of testing with these cars and they didn't run any quicker with 4.10 they do better with 3.15, 3.31 or 3.55 max. The Trans itself had a 4.17 first gear for God's sake. A converter is all it needs.
Would like to see your ideas on a high effort NA gen 3, since there are so many NA cars on the gen 3 platform and its a platform where you can actually go pretty fast NA I think it appeals to alot of people
You can go fast with gen 1 and 2 na as well it's just easier with a 10 speed because of the gearing advantage and it's better setup factory but fbo cj cams on both they aren't THAT far apart in terms of potential.
@@midnight347 yes im aware of what the platform can do NA. He isnt going to do anything in regards to a real NA build anyway. Aside from basic boltons he js totally against NA coyote’s for some odd reason. I dont get it tbh, his gen2 was a cool NA car for awhile and his fox is a sweet ride also NA.
Been following you for years and learning a ton. I have a 17 GT manual, and will patiently await your gen 2 N/A advice. Already went 12.6@116 all stock w/3.31 gear, would like to make a solid 11 sec street car. Waiting to see your recommendations.
Basically the same things that apply to gen 1 manual applies to gen 2. Gen 2 will make more power fbo and manifold etc but they are little harder to launch with irs and slightly heavier. Essentially it's gonna be the same recipe.
I’m doing a peasant ass Gen 1 swap based off an F150. Refreshed 6R80, 2C or 3C converter, 3.31s or 3.55s, refreshed heads with valve job, Boss cams and Springs, stock crank, Gen 2 rods, 12:1 CR, Gen 3 Manifold, FFE, LU47s, FORE Return System, and of course Lund Tuning.
Gen 2 boosted. I currently built a 15, calimer stage 2 mt82 for my son. Roush 2.3 blower, mmr billet oil pump gears, Texas Speed long tubes, roush intake, 60 mm twin tb😒, e85 return style , dual walbro 465 ,fic 1000 injectors (only reason lund wont tune my car) suspension front: steeda drag race springs, camber plates steeda struts, bump steer Rear: steeda drag race springs, viking dual adjustable, steeda irs brace, vertical link, adjustable tow links, bushings, drive shaft shop 2200 hp rated drive shafts. I suck at driving, but I can't get that thing to hook. Running a 305/35 r 19 nitto 555 r2 in the rear. Tried to go with a 69 mm griptec pulley but can't eliminate the slip. Installed the bomber bracket and the vmp HD tensioner. Probably going to go back to the 80 mm pulley and call it a day. I have recently bought my daughter 2017 with a 6r80. Should i be worried about the oil pump gears if im staying NA on the 2017. This video is going to help immensely going forward. Thanks for all you do
If you wanna hook get rid of that nitto first off, second off go with a 17x10.5 inch rear wheel with a 305/45/17 et street r on the rear. Thank me later. With a stick car bias slicks are more forgiving but drag radials are better for the street. For max et and something that is softer on suspension parts bias slicks for a stick.
I have a gen 2 6r80 and I wanted to be in the 11s so bad. The car has pmas intake, 2018 manifold, lu47s and e85 tune. Stock exhaust manifold and cats. Made 425whp and 370tq. My tires were not good so I could only launch at like 1200 rpm. Cut a 1.9 60’, 7.9 1/8th and 12.0 at 117.5mph 1/4. Had to let out a lot on the shifts bc it kept breaking the tires loose and getting sideways. I’m thinking high 11s easy with a better tire?
Is the ecu on the 2014 mustang gt locked I’ve been trying to figure out if I need a ecu or if I can take it straight to a dyno first time modding a car so I’m new to all this tuning stuff
The mods would be pretty much the same for a Regular cab Gen 1 5.0 F150 as well, except you'll need mustang intake cams. The stock F150 intake cams are terrible.
The mt82 holds up alot better than people give it credit for. I've seen many above 700-800 wheel boosted and staying together that isn't a walk in the park by any means.
Great info Alex! Any advice on getting my new to me 2014 GT Gen 1 with a Circle D Pro 245mm 36-3800 vert to hook up at the track. It just annihilates the Nitto NT555RII 275x50r15s.
Hi Alex, thanks for the reply. I had to step up to a 6C and a 3.73 to get the car to 60". Now I'm struggling with getting it in the high 11s. Is it possible with just a tune, 6c and 3.73 gear to go high 11s? My tuner is Luis Ortiz cause I have an SCT hand held. Luis says it should already be in the 11s. I want to run the Sportsman 12 sec and slower bracket class, so I'm limited on changes to the engine.
Next, how to maintain a shiny dome!
🤣🤣
I usually keep a Milwaukee polisher in my cabinet
I need this kinda tip lol
Great stuff, looking forward to gen 1 boosted

Looking forward to Gen2 6r80. I know you have a video series going over this. But I enjoyed that series as well.
I followed these steps on my Gen 1 6R80 car and then put a vortech on it and I absolutely love it

Definitely keep this going, I'm here for the gen 3 but enjoying what it takes for the other years. 💪🏾💪🏾

Love this series and I'm a dodge diesel owner with no interest in ever owning a Ford!! Keep up the hustle
Awesome video! Thanks for the great info!! I love learning about this stuff!
I liked the calming music in the back not too loud can still hear you spittin fax
I'm getting back into hotrodding, getting the v6 stang coyote swapped. This was gold, thank you sir.

Really like the simple way of laying information , keep it up king
Great vid. Keeps it simple and direct like anyways. Can't wait for the Gen 3 vid.
Love the video! I went with a 6f cause of your red car. It works nice with a transbrake and a good surface! 3.15 plan on switching to 3.55
I’m really liking this “Build Series” 👍
Great video once again definitely keep them coming!!!
Great stuff Alex. I ran a gt350 mani on my 13gt. 3c and mods u suggested car ran great. Best was 11 4 @120 1800ft da. Then went tvs and wished I stayed NA
RIP in peace Jean Grey
Great info! Need all this kind on stuff I can get. Thanks!!
Thanks for the information. Great video 👍

These videos are excellent sir.
Great stuff, keep it coming!
Awesome video, thanks Alex!
This series is amazing. I'm waiting for gen3 10r80
I did 12.1 with just a tune Or/X in my 6r80 GT in 1000 ish DA on a stock converter. The 6r80 torque converter is the biggest setback when trying to go faster
12.80’s not bad for just a tune. Great video.
I was looking for videos like this to hopefully soon put a coyote in my foxbody. Low and behold Alex got me covered.
Keep it coming bro great information 👌 👍 💯
Keep on the great content !!🔥
Great video. I like your videos.
Most guys say stay away from the Boss manifold. Every test Ive seen shows the 18 manifold performs best.
Good revisit for the Gen 1
Keep them coming!
I like this content i’m learning a lot
What a gift Alex has been to the coyote world
I can’t wait to see more of these
My car on street tires, powerlab tune, full exhaust, CAI, an 4.10 gears ran 7.7 @92 in 1/8th
Awesome series !
Alex, am loving this type/style videos. Can you do a Gen 1 boosted 6r80 video??
Cookie cutter no bullchit!! Love it
Great vid tio Alex. Gt350 setups would be a nice vid 🔥
Very nice outline sir 👍
Awesome content Alex 👍
👌👌 nice info.. keep them rolling
Keep the videos going 👍
Keep em coming
Waiting for the gen 1 tvs recommendation. Like what you're doing.
11.32@120 n/a with my 2013GT . Ported Boss IM, Airaid CAI, catless Xpipe, Kooks shorties, Circle D 4c, 4.10 gear, and a drag pack on 93.
What gear did you cross the finish line in with 4.10’s, fifth?
They did lots of testing with these cars and they didn't run any quicker with 4.10 they do better with 3.15, 3.31 or 3.55 max. The Trans itself had a 4.17 first gear for God's sake. A converter is all it needs.
@@9SecondStreetMustang 4th gear, around 7k.
Love the videos
Nice video, Alex. Gen1 boosted next, please 🙏
My goal is 9s soon, then eventually 8s.
Great info 👍
Great info
I have a 14 Ported CJ fbo mustang 6r80 and it now runs 10.8’s in the 1/4 I’ll have to post new videos soon with the setup
Whats all done to yours?
Love it!
Thanks!

Gen 2 6r80 next please 🔥

Oil pump gears aren't needed unless you're bouncing off the Rev limiter which you shouldn't be doing anyways imo
Thank you for the reply. I have ventura 17x10.5 and et street rs in my cart . Just need to pull the trigger
Please do boosted applications next (manual)
Dig it keep it up
In my personal opinion, i firmly believe gears must be one of the first mods in a 6r80 car.. it’ll wake the car up, its a night and day difference
i did 11.8 with no convertor pmas ported 18 ported tb catless e85 weight reduction
Can you do some videos about f150s especially 10r 5.0s?
Hell yeah!
Can you do a boosted Gen 1 guide? Thanks
Dope explanation. Can we talk Gen 2 coyote's?
Dope
Alex the "coyote whisperer" laying down the knowledge. Hopefully all the millennials can still follow along
These style videos are the shit
Everything is great but the background music is too loud, maybe not even needed.
Holy shit dude grow up
Tune daddy ❤❤❤
Alex does a torque converter make a difference in a roll race or only in dig racing ?
What brake pads are you using on the s197 to launch at 4400rpm?
what is the recipe for a on 10r80 10s low 11s 1/4 mile
I have a gen 2 6r80 and I wanted to be in the 11s so bad. The car has pmas intake, 2018 manifold, lu47s and e85 tune. Stock exhaust manifold and cats. Made 425whp and 370tq. Can't wait for the Gen 2 boosted series!! Auto or manual? How much of a turd is the MT-82? Should you go with a Calimer?
The mt82 holds up alot better than people give it credit for. I've seen many above 700-800 wheel boosted and staying together that isn't a walk in the park by any means.
And only ultimate header and fore fuel system
How to build a Gen1 auto procharged mustang... I'm stuck at 11.4 i think because of the converter.. my 60' is trash but my trap speed is 125!
Great info Alex! Any advice on getting my new to me 2014 GT Gen 1 with a Circle D Pro 245mm 36-3800 vert to hook up at the track. It just annihilates the Nitto NT555RII 275x50r15s.
