Yote school man this is why I love your channel
5:12 the elote 85 had me dying 😂😂 🌽
I have been waiting for a video like this. Thanks professor!
Great new series on mustang info!
This series of video films is the content RUclips needs.
Your knowledge is priceless dude thank you
Really liking these new type of videos you’re making! Keep it up!
Been lookin forward to this vid
Brother…always very informative!! 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you! You were the man I was looking for!
Such a great educational video series.
Young man keep up sharing that knowledge I appreciate it very much, especially with the sprinkled in comedy/sarcasm LOVE IT. 😁👍🏽
Thanks for the awesome content Alex 👍💪
Man you have the best information out there. I appreciate your effort! I am closer than i am before in building my dream car because of you! Thank you!
Great series to archive and keep as reference 👍
Very accurate video once again. I get more knowledge from you every video. Great job.
Great video, thanks for the info.
Solid info Alex!!✊🏁
Great video 👍
Great stuff.
Amazing info
Great job,
yessss i miss my 2011 5.0 roush blower e85 69 pulley mt82 and rst setup ran 6.38 in the 8th
Really really digging this content - asking for a raise on Monday, LOL.
A few years back at my local track ran into a guy with a gen 1 manual roush blower setup. The DA was awful that day but that mf was running 10.2’s 10.3’s consistently. Almost bought the car when I seen it for sale about a year later.
Very good.
He answers the unanswerable all the time.
Don't own a mustang, never will. Still watch all your vids 💪
Awesome video man! After you finish this series, there will be no excuse for dumb questions
Boost is the way!
I’m taking notes📝
Best 26 minute video ever lol
Awesome
You mentioned the Paxton. I have a torque booster on my car. Just to ramp up my torque.
Dope
I'm starting to become happier and happier in the 12s. 😂
You should do s197 GT500s as well 👀
6r80 can’t wait
been waiting for this to see how i did with mine, hope i didn't fck up to much.
Alex amry in the house
Not boosting my gen one till you drop the 6r80 vid
Alex, my Gen 1 with a gen 3 short block, VMPGen3r on 93 tuned by VMP has a problem where it stalls when coming to a stop. I’ve seen others have this problem, do you know anything about this or did you experience it with your previous VMP Gen 1?
would a gen 2 top end help make more psi and possibly run 9’s? My buddy has a gen 2 top end but bottom end gen 1
If we are talking mid to low 10’s, is a fuel system and e85 necessary or would it be a waste of money if we are living at say 700 whp?
Can you do a comparison video of the 99-01 cobras (NA years) vs 03/04 mach 1s. Ive never fully grasped the differences and potential of either.
Not much really, just different metals used in the block. Mach 1 is aluminum like the earlier cobras. Terminator cobra was Iron block. Was dissipated and gets rid of heat faster than the other. Mach 1 forever!
Da was 2000+ last night and I did a 1.40 60 ft, did the 1/8th in 6.44@112 and missed the 3-4 shift right at the 1/8th, hit the limiter and bent a valve😢 and only got a 10.5 @ 108. I was so close to breaking into the 9’s. Turbo mustang, Stock mt82, stock sealed motor 3.7
On the bright side you now have an excuse to coyote swap 😂
@@tylerspecht7553 na, I’m poor. Im just gonna throw an extra head on and send it. Plus I’m so close
BuT aLeX wHaT aBoUt OiL pUmP gEaRs aNd tHe cRaNk sPrOcKeT? wHaT aBoUt tHe HeAd cOoLiNg mOd aLeX?!?!?
Great series? Are you going to do a build series on GeN 2?
Yes, next up is gen 1 auto then start on gen 2 NA manual/auto, then gen 2 Boosted manual/Auto then Gen 3 same way
@@YDBT4LIFE Great Thanks! I have a GeN 2 manual boosted TVS wanted to know if I did it the right way lol
Alex, can you do a video on 2018-2022 5.0's? I want to boost mine but I'm not looking to go crazy, I just want to know what all I need to do to keep it reliable on the street
You need to be patient. I'll get to it eventually
Meanwhile save your money till he makes the video. Be "Patient" my haitian.... 🤦♂️
Weight reduction (driver loses some weight) and suspension?
MY 2012 MUSTANG GT COYOTE HAS OVER 153,000 MILES ON IT. COULD I/SHOULD I BOOST IT AS IS,OR SHOULD I REBUILD IT FIRST,(WITH FORGED RODS,BILLET OIL PUMP GEARS & CRANK SPROCKET)?
I would not boost it.
You mentioned ESS when speaking on centrifugal blowers for Gen 1’s… do they plan on making a kit for Gen 1 anytime soon? Ik you were just speaking to centrifugals in general but I’m curious as to if you’ve heard or spoke to someone on it
Supposedly they were going to offer a ESS for gen 1
@@YDBT4LIFEHEY ALEX I HAVE A QUESTION IN YOUR OPINION HOW MUCH POWER CAN I PUSH MY 08 GT500 ON STOCK INTERNALS.
Sweet, hoping that happens in the near future
@@YDBT4LIFEThanks for the video. My MT82 transmission just went out. Does MT82 2015-2017 different than the 2011-2014 MT82 ?
What clutch you recommend?
Macleod RST or RXT ? ( That is what is available in our market without ordering and wait)
2014 mustang GT with 2.9 Whipple supercharger manual.
Thanks again bro. You are the best ❤
Hey Alex! Thanks for all of your hard work! I had a question about fuel options. I’m from East Tn where E85 is SCARCE!!! Our cars live on Pump 93. Would Pump 93 with a Progressive Methanol Injection Kit be a suitable and safe alternative instead of E85?
No because they would essentially be inconsistent methanol mixes does the car cannot account for in a tune
@@YDBT4LIFE so either straight Pump 93 and keep it conservative (tune), or straight E85 and get it when/where I can?
@@BrothersBuilds yes sir
Or
You can get 2 tunes
1 for 93 octane
2nd for 93+octane booster and it's about 100 octane.
@@YDBT4LIFE with 2 tunes, the fuel system would need to be completely drained when switching from one fuel to the other, correct?
If it’s a dedicated E85 tune, is pump e85 acceptable? I hear Pump E85 can vary drastically with different seasons….
@@BrothersBuilds no sir think about it this way if you have a full tank of 93 all you have to do is put in some octane booster and once you drain that tank out you can then just fill up with 93 and load the other tune. And I trust pump E85 up to about 800 or 900 horsepower
For the mu-52 injectors do you need an adapter or is it direct fit?
They drop in like they were made for the car. But you will need a tune.
Gen 2 manual n/a
So no stroker blocks available like the old modular 5.4 4V Modular Motors used in the Navigator? What about the CLUTCHLESS, INSTANT (20ms?), Full POWER Rev Matching UP and DOWN Quick Shifter I have on my Yamaha XSR900.. Take off in 1st Gear.. CLUTCH engaged hold wide open Throttle, Just SHIFT each red line. Never a tooth Grind.. Only Lockout is down shifting into red line. Dragger's Dream.. There's an easy haff a second (Probably MORE!) in that technology. Faster and More EFFICIENT than an Automatic. Simpler, Cheaper and STRONGER than a DCT. Coming Soon.. The new Mustang has Rev Matching but still Requires pushing in the Clutch..
Not to mention the cage & parachute you’ll have to have to run 8’s. Welcome to the big leagues. lol
Currently i have a 11 gen 1 fbo and wanting to do a paxton just worried since it only has a forged crank
Keep it at a 3.6 pulley if you're living on pump gas.
Paxton 91 3.6 car beat on every weekend no issues 🫶
Thanks for the info! And im on 93, should i upgrade the injectors? Even with the booster?
@@cryptickk I got 1050x and a bap
Till what horsepower is a boosted pump good for? 600ish?
650 rwhp on premium pump gas is no problem with a big enough injector, BAP and a tune. You can get pretty close to 850 on pump gas if everything is absolutely perfect but you're really rolling the dice anywhere past 700 imo.
3.31, driveshaft, hipo clutch, stainless clutch line, shifter off the Bat!! Whipple 3.0 or VMP ODIN is the big question for 93? Replacing injectors to whatever works and/or replacing the fuel pump no big deal. Hearing the VMP hits harder??
Have a 2014 Drag Pack with the 3.73.. 1st gear is near useless. Besides the 5W50 oil cap, is there any internal engine parts differences with the stock GT? Word was they swapped a couple Boss 302 parts (Maybe Oil Gears?)
@@markhall3434 Engine is stock. Drag pack gives you:
Front: 14" Brembo Vented Rotors with 4-Piston Calipers
19 x 9.0-inch dark-stainless premium painted aluminum wheels
255/40R19 Pirelli PZero Summer-Only (Coupe) or P255/40ZR19 Goodyear F1 Supercar (Convertible)
Different Springs (131lbs Front / 167lbs Rear)
Different Struts/ Shocks (tuned for spring rates)
GT-500 Rear Lower Control Arms ( Higher Durometer Rubber)
Unique Electronic Stability Control (ESC) Tuning
Unique Sport Steering Control Setting (EPAS)
Tire Mobility Kit Replaces Spare Tire
3.73 gears with Torsen
Boss 302 radiator
Oil cooler
Track apps in gauge cluster
Odin is way bigger than you need. The gen3 is enough to blow your shiz up, the Gen3R is more than plenty.
Any recommendations for upgrading suspension for roll runs on gen1 cars . My car feels uncomfortable driving at higher speeds. Not sure what parts to by to make the car feel more planted
If you were to find yourself on the track or in Mexico, what speeds would you be experiencing this? I've got a stock suspension gen 1 car with sticky tires and a good alignment and it does great at around 120-140. It is a GT/CS with the front splitter but I'm not sure how much of a difference that makes. I'm thinking either you have worn out steering/suspension or some kind of aero issue or you're going way faster than me lmao
@theawesomeguy9999 it's a low milage car . It ended up being my tires . Put on some new michelin pilot sports and some koni shocks/struts with camber caster plates . Totally different animal $2500 dollars later lol
@@ericanderson3308 oh very nice!!! Koni yellows? Also out of curiosity what size did you go with? I've got 275/40/18s front and rear with firehawk Indy 500s, but pilot sports are what I want haha
@theawesomeguy9999 I went with the koni orange non adjustable, I dont track it , I just try to catch some races on the freeway on the weekends lol. I run 255/35r19 305/30r19 pilot sport 4s , huge difference from nitto invos. I would spin in 4th gear with 650 hp . These pilots hook up in 2nd
@@ericanderson3308 Sounds like a well set up ride! I bet 650 is a riot. Hows the trans holding up? I've got an mt82 and just blew the 1-2 shift fork so I gotta decide how far to go with that
Is it worth boosting a high mileage (120k) gen 1 coyote?
Send it
Question: It's mostly the off idle torque for me.. Not into the engine killer high revs or 9's per say.. Assuming stock bottom, 2014 Gen 1, per the plan 93 gas.. how small a top pulley can I go at say 6800 RPM Red line and she lives at least 50 times. Maybe 15PSI to 6800? If it lasts 50 times, she lived a great life!
10 psi peak period. If you want to chuck a rod. Go ahead and pulley it higher and blow it up.
@@YDBT4LIFE that's clear! Thanks.. throwing a rod or Lunching a transmission is what we do.
1. Break it
2. Fix it
3. Repeat
@@markhall3434 no
We simply won't tune a pump gas car at anything above 10 psi. You can use another tuner if you're not going to go by Lunds guidelines. Or simply buy a platform with more torque down low.
12 peak it is!
@@YDBT4LIFE any after market stroker coyote blocks like the 5.8 liter in the previous mod motor generation navigator or 2014 GT 500?
No one talking about the 10 minutes of black screen 😂
The background music came back on in the last couple minutes. 😛
How to build a auto boosted gen 3?
It'll be part of the series after gen 2.
How about 6’s? Lol jk jk
Bolt a rocket on top of the car lol
