Annie Attempts....Hair Toner! Tone My Hair With Me!

My hair has been so brassy and purple shampoo wasn't cutting it. So I took it upon myself to go to Sally's Beauty Supply Store and pick up toner and developer to tone my own hair at home.
Just going to the salon to get a tone is like $30-$40. No thanks! My toning experience only cost $13 for toner, a developer, a bowl, and brush. And like 45 minutes from applying to washing it out.
The toner I get is the Wella T-18 which is a very ash-y cool blonde and I got the Wella 20 Volume developer.
