- two DIY options to fix orange hair from bleach.
*key points:
•to correct orange hair from bleaching, you can either lighten it again or deposit a demi-permanent color over it
•toners like T18 are meant for pale yellow hair and will not make much change to orange
•all hair has to go through stages when being decolorized (bleached)
•when you decolorize hair, you reveal the hair's undertone (these are usually reds, oranges, yellows)
•orange undertones happen when you are in the middle of decolorizing (about a level 5- level 1 is black, and level 10 is the palest yellow blonde)
•if you lighten it again, a lightener will be applied to the midshaft of the hair all over the head. Then, go back and apply it to the roots and the ends. The roots are saved for last because they lift faster due to the heat from your scalp- heat helps speed up the lighting process. The ends are saved for last to avoid any further damage
•to find the correct demi-permanent color to put over the orange, you start by finding the level (1-10) of the orange. You are looking at lightness or darkness, not tone (orange)
•if your hair is a level 7 ORANGE, you will want to find a hair color that is 1-2 shades lighter (to avoid compacting color and getting a darker result) and has BLUE in it. Blue is across from orange on the color wheel; they will neutralize each other. ASH (A) is blue in hair color. For example, you could use an 8A (level 8, ash) 8NA (level 8, natural ash) 8AA (level 8, double ash)
•Demi or semi-permanent hair color is recommended. It does the least damage to your hair and allows you to re-lighten it once it fades out.
•10 volume developer is used with demi-permanent color following manufacturer directions for application and processing times
•a blue shampoo is recommended to use weekly (if you have yellow hair, you will use a violet based shampoo)

As I sit here with orange hair from bleaching 👀👀
Charcoal hair conditioner from Sally’s. Use it every time you wash for at least 2 weeks. It might take 3. Keep the rest of the conditioner in case it tries to come back in 2 months, and always cover your hair with a hat when it’s sunny. You can try going hatless next summer.
@@schoolingdiana9086 thank you for the advice 😊
I’m on day 3 of trying to go from dark brown to red/pink. It’s a process 😭
Been there, done that.
I reapplied the bleach and got myself to a level 8/9 using Wella Blondor 20vol. Now I look like a banana 😂
I’m so glad you posted this! My hair was orange last week, and I did not want to re-lighten. I went to sally and grabbed Wella 8A permanent color to use with volume 10 developer. I wanted the Wella demi permanent color, but I didn’t see a level 8 ash. Anyway, the associate there was rude and said the level 8 would not work on how my hair and that it was too dark. I said I was fine with what I was using, and she rolled her eyes. She suggested I dye my hair a level 4 to fix it. Pfft. I eventually used Wella 8A permanent with a volume 10 developer, and my hair turned out beautiful! It’s a neutral beige light brown/ dark blonde. An easy fix when you have work the next day without using more bleach or dying dark brown.
There's only one Sally's within an hour of my house and I always dread going there 😬, just not a nice experience. Glad you got good results.
Yeah, they think they know EVERYTHING! 🙄 Oh, really.. is that why you're working HERE instead of a Hair Salon..? 🤔
You should go back to the store, and say see it worked🤣😂
@barbymoran320 I did the same thing to my copper hair but got a 6n and made my hair too dark. 😪 I assumed it would make it lighter.
@@angelsworld1733 I’ve gone back a few times, but I haven’t seen her yet 😒 lol
I can't be the only one who badly needs this video. Been battling orange hair since i bleached it in November- finally just dyed it brown. I can't afford salon prices anymore, plus last time I left a lot broker and with plenty of still orange hair. 😩
Thank you Britnee for all that you do. I will definitely be referencing this video a lot in future. ❤ you're the best! 😊
glad it could help!!
I wanted to say thank you for all the information!! It has helped me so much. I decided to go back blonde and bleached my hair a week ago. I'm a natural redhead and followed your instructions on bleach, developer, and toner. After I bleached my hair it was a bit yellow (which it always is) and decided to tone with the T18 I seen in your other video. It made a tremendous difference. I still have a few little spots that are a little darker but it's a lot better than that pissy color hair. You're an excellent teacher. Thank you for the videos!
From a professional that worked at salls and Yada place! One of the best vids. Instructor Level. ❤❤❤❤❤4sho.❤❤
Learning all this for yourself is so fun. When I was younger I'd dye wool yarns and fabrics, later on I went at my hair. Love the mix of science and art.
I have orange right now. I wasn't even trying to go blonde. I had box dyed it dark brown but it was too dark (almost black). Every video I watched suggested a bleach bath. I followed the directions exactly (1:1:1) well it didn't just lift a shade, it lifted like 3 levels and is now clown wig orange. So this video was extremely timely! I just bought more brown box dye but this time I got a level 6, however after watching this I am considering returning it for a demi permanent.
girl do it! I tried to cover mine with dark brown permanent and I got some serious hot roots and brassy ends and it's even more fried. wish I had this yesterday. I'm "fixing it" with color luxe chocolate brown but it's too temporary and still too warm. Considering using the platinum color luxe for more toning/canceling. All that to say... just listed to our girl lol. And good luck!
I have dark auburn boxed color hair, with natural light brown roots showing mixed with grey. I’ve been watching all these videos, thought about bleach bath to lighten the red tones, I don’t like the hard contrast of red/brown re growth any anymore. Will my hair turn orange?! I would like to keep the greys covered without drastic results. Thanks you
@@nicolajustice9865 I'm the opposite of a pro but I have done exactly what you're talking about and yesss girl it will give you hot roots (orange). I would research (here on Brit's page) toners. SHes greattt at explaining toners. Just make surrrre you use a 10 developer anything higher will give you that hot root. I don't know much about covering grays yet but Sally's has some great color depositing shampoos/cond that is the easiest way to maintain roots if you don't want to get to technical. Good luck!!
I just went with a lighter blonde box dye n I was already blonde n it turned orange in spot 🤦🏼♀️
Lady, I have watched many toning videos for darker hair, this is the BEST one. I’m a middle school teacher, and your explanation of the process is amazing. 🙏
I have been bleaching my own hair for years now, and there was ONE time where my hair went orange, only one. Usually it comes out yellow, but I've always been able to fix it.
One time I got sick and tired of the upkeep of being blonde, and I literally dyed it BLACK. My hair came out very dark and coppery, it looks awesome. But, after a while it gradually went lighter and lighter.
So, I guess I'm meant to be blonde lol.
Great video!
You saved my hair. I listened to all your advice here and was able to neutralize my hair to a beautiful color temporarily until my hair gets healthier so thank you for this video! 💕
Ok so this may never get a response but it may at least make some people laugh sooo... here we go...
I've been a studious student of Miss Genius Britt here (I literally can't get enough) and felt I knew my equations and color wheel so in the efforts to go from brassy blonde balayage to dark mushroom blonde I used all our girl's techniques and guidelines (except I used permanent.. regrets) to darken. It was perfection... technique on point even left myself some beautifully blended blonde ends but then instead of toning the orange I decided to use a blue deposit ... I've done it before ... but I switched brands. When I tried to rinse my the blue from my hands and the PAINT wouldn't budge I knew I was in trouble. Flash forward to high-pigment blue everywhere. Next up... 2 dawn dish soap washes and a panicked bleach bath. Now I'm blonde blue.. still hella splotchy. Decided to just go dark brown but ya girl watched the color fill video and I did the *right* thing and did a copper fill. Welp... the (permanent) brown I put over it didn't even touch the vibrant orange.. except in patches of course. So now I'm drenching my hair in deeeeep conditioners and slathering on cocoa color luxe to at least deepen the copper. It's helping but I have to do it every shower. I don't have the budget or patience for this. So I'm over here with my trashy damaged hair mourning my natural hair ... ironically.. the dark mushroom blonde. Oh and did I mention I cut my bangs? Hell hath fallen upon me. Can't stop thinking about pulling a GI Jane. Send restraints 🤟
I understand the battle, good luck to us both

😂 😭
Regretfully, I can relate to this! My hair has been orange (this time around cause it's happened before) for months! And here's the kicker - I'm cool toned, so it's making me look pale/sickly. I can hardly wait to watch this video!
Yup been there!!!!!!!! My friend taught me how to color but I’ve had some mess ups. Lol Thank goodness I have a ton of hair cause I can mess it up. Currently copper highlights trying to lighten the black from doing my grays. It’s a process. Good story.
This is so helpful - thank you! Even just learning that ash = blue is game changing! Thanks again for these informative videos!
Girl, the black-and-white toner filter was absolutely genius. I will forever use the black-and-white filter on my camera now. ❤❤😂
Tip for anyone going lighter and get orange, use fanola blue shampoo. I put on dry hair for a good 10 mins or more, the instructions say use on wet hair. I have both fanola, purple and blue I use with k8 mask. This is just maintenance but can be used on brunette too for a beautiful cool tone. ❤
After watching so so so many other videos this is THE BEST video on how to fix this!!!. This is not the first time I come across this issue and although the solutions on other videos where a little similar NONE explained with this detail how to fix it. I was about to make a mistake and you definitely SAVED MY HAIR. Thank you so much ❤❤❤
I love that you always go straight to the point. Thank you for your content. I used to go to a hairstylist in Brazil, and now, in Canada, it's too expensive, so I tried to do it by myself. I tried so many things to get rid of my orange tone when doing my hair. Now I just did a brown colour with the idea “of stop doing so many things on your hair,” and guess what? I can't see myself when I look in the mirror, and now I may have to bleach it all again?! I feel I did make many mistakes. OMG
You are the best!!! Finally someone breaks it down like crazzzyyy for someone like me who knows nothing about doing hair but somehow still does it at home because I’m broke and my regular hair is boring lol. Thank you for breaking it down and making sense ❤
This was really helpful. Overbleached my hair a while ago and am orange…just put a toner in and it didn’t turn out as expected as per usual but I always end up with a tinge of green. I pre-pigmented last time I did a full head colour (have to keep colouring because of grey roots)…I hate my hair but this was really helpful with how to deal with the ends as I always make it too dark
I want to lighten my mom's grey hair with white highlights. Can you do a video on grey hair care and how to lighten it and keep from yellowing please!? We love your videos because there's always something cool❤
You definitely saved my life! I never knew to go lighter using the color wheel. My roots are still natural color with a little salt. But I have a major demarcation bright orange line and ends section that's simply awful, so thanks so much for this information!!!
This video is such perfect timing for me, thank you!
I just used high lift ion cool blond to lift my roots (after watching your videos) and they turned out a perfect level 7 light orange (from a solid level 2). Such a good result with one session at home. The rest is level 9/10.
I have been working towards a diy platinum/silver for years now, but working with semi permanents. I'm going demi to tone this time with Shades EQ, with a shadow root, again thanks to your videos. I think without seeing this I would have mixed it too dark. 😢
BTW, the shades I chose were 6T, 7V, and 8V, and of course clear. After watching this, I'm going to mix 1tsp 6T, 1tsp 7V, 4tsp 8v, a 6 tsp clear for the first go, roots first, ends last. I'll go back in for a shadow root if necessary if the orange isn't completely neutralized (which it probably won't be but that's ok).
Thank you for helping out us home hair obsessors!
I saw a different video before, so my first attempt to correct brassy level 8 highlights, I used level 8N Ion Demi with 10 developer on dry hair and it darkened it two shades down. The next time I used 7A permanent with 10 developer on damp hair. It worked well. I’m going back to my natural color. I’m tired of paying big bucks in salons and getting bad results. Be careful with bleach, ladies. Too much damage and upkeep and it’s difficult to do yourself. Demi works better.
You always explain the process of bleaching so well. Thank you.❤
I really dont want to listen to this but i know i should 😭
You’re an amazing teacher. You have “it”.
thank you!
@@brittneealexushairAre you from Texas? Nice southern accent & also because Texans are smart.
This was so helpful. My hair is definitely lighter than the video. I'd say two levels lighter , creamsicle orange, on my three inch roots and the inside of a banana color to the midshaft and down. In the shower today, there was some breakage for the first time ever. Thank goodness I have enough hair for 3 people- still not ideal though. I was doing my darndest not to overlap but alas- some must have. I do not want to bleach my roots again for fear that I get bleach on the rest of my hair and wind up with a mullet. I'm doing some protein and conditioning treatments tonight. If I didn't have an event to go to Saturday I'd leave it alone for a few weeks but I can't. I'm going to try my usual Ion Demi 9na. Probably do the roots first and then just very carefully bring it down into the rest. Judging by your video, I think it will work well. I'm a little worried the rest of my hair is too porous- so I might just wind up with a bob by the time this travesty is done. Nevertheless, this was a super helpful video. I wasn't sure if I should use a darker toner, than I usually use. So this helped me out ALOT.
I love your content so much. When that happened to me, I just used peroxide, without bleach, to get my hair a bit lighter after an orange bleaching result. After that I put some ash toner (Wella Live drops in Ice Silver) and sorted.
So happy you said it’s ok to bleach again. Did a box bleach forgot to add the sachet that boosts it into the bottle so have awful orange hair now lol. I intend to go purple but needed to be blonde first.
Thank you for explaining this so simply, I think I watched a different video that I’m realizing said the same info just I had trouble understanding. It’s also nice to know I accidentally by chance did the right thing after my hair became orange from bleaching. I will wait until my hair is a little more healthy and decide if I want to go lighter.
Love this~ needed this!!
I started in the back so I could hide if needed~ I needed.
I have the bright orange your talking about 😆 tried t18 with 20 dev, nothing. Now I know why.
Luckily I’m able to wait, because I lifted top of my hair and can cover the orange.
YOU are brilliant and I appreciate you! Will be using this video and others to get that glorious white/silver hair I cannot find a hairdresser to do properly, and I’m over paying for not what I want. I’ll just learn from you!
Thanks!!!❤
I lightened my hair last month and ended up with gold. What I really wanted was a soft pink. I used a bright pink dye and washed it off within a minute and it was perfect. But it’s such a hassle because I have so much hair to go through! Is there a light pink dye you recommend that would work on gold orange or a trick maybe add something to dilute it so I can do my whole hair at once? I really don’t want bright pink hair
Love your classes, you make it easy to understand coloring
If you wanted a balayage appearance would you get two semi permanent dyes? One to blend
From your roots down and one for everywhere else? Or could you start with your roots and then go back in with the same color but with some conditioner or water mixed in?
Lifted my brown colored hair twice hoping to get a blending of a demarcation line. I’ve grown my gray proudly for 10 months. I was left with yellow and some brassy tones. The hairdresser said sorry but that’s just what happens sometimes. We tried. The toner she used wasn’t the tone I was hoping for either. I’d love some help here. Best take away is to research research research before anyone touches your hair. Make sure they know what they’re doing. This hairdresser that worked on me sold herself that she knew how to get the results I wanted. She didn’t. I won’t be going back to that salon even for a hair cut. I spent a lot of money including generous tips and she didn’t listen to what I wanted.
This is the best video I've found for this problem. Informative, yet not overwhelming. Thank you so much ❤
Brittnee, can you do a video explaining the difference between the L’Oréal box colors and how you can transition to a more professional Color and what you recommend? Love love your videos
That would be awesome
You are WAY TOO BEAUTIFUL for that shirt!!!! On a serious note, I’m a 50 year old mom, well 55 to be exact, and you crack me up!!! Praying my shades eq project I’m doing turns out well.
Do you have to use a 10 vol for the toner if the hair is already compromised? Could you just use 6 vol to get the same results?
Hey Awesome lady so i recently just dyed my roots a 5nn from the brand One and only (argan oil) keep in mind ive been dying hair a 5nb from wella for few yrs now but latvely ive been wanting something different sooo i decided to darkin my roots which i should not have done with 5nn then used the Blond Brilliance highlight balayage bleach to lighten my hair ....hair was super brassy.... then i mixed 3 parts of 8a with 1 part of 5ca with 20 developer also from One and only(argan oil) everyone says it doesn't look bad but i guess i just dont like red tones at ALLLL!!...LOL Anyway i still lots of red ...any suggestions of what i should use to cancel th3 red out i just want that cooler chocolate/ mocha brown
I don't bleach my hair, I used a colour and got orange, can you redye your hair for it to go lighter?
Try blondor brass kicker alone. Miracle formula. A ten percent or a 20 percent developer. It will come out lovely. And gives you time to rest and plot the next blonde move lol
I colored my hair ginger blonde in April but would like to lighten it! Bleach is too strong for my hair. What would you recommend? I love your videos!
exactly what I did today😂😊😊😊 I used Illumina brown perl-ash, I'm proud, and happy for your infos!!!❤❤
You’re an amazing educator! Enjoyed watching 🥰
Thank you that was very informative and direct into the point and exactly what I needed
Great tutorials! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. How do you know when the bleach is ready to come off so we can avoid going orange?
Where was she when I was in my 20s 😂as I sit here at 44 all natural hair color , half of my hair gone because of Covid and a mullet 😢
Your videos have helped me do my hair at home. I did option two to darken a bad salon job. Thank you !
I used ultra cool Light Ash blonde no 8 from Loreal and it worked perfectly for me. My hair is beige blond now ,even a bit too beige ,but I think after some time the golden undertone will balance it out
I’m a cosmo instructor. And this right here is a great video.💕💕
Thank you so helpful my hair came out orange I had virgin black hair no perm or bleach before I want it platinum blonde how long should I wait to bleach it again or what can I do to get platinum blonde
For the demi, if I only have 20vol at home can I mix with water or will that dilute it too much? This video is so helpful!
That “orange” hair is the color of my niece’s hair. She is a natural red head. She’s 8 years old and gets compliments every time she goes out in public!
natural oranges/reds are so beautiful ! she is lucky!
@@brittneealexushair her little brother is a redhead too. His is a little lighter ( so far ) he is 5. My mother is also a redhead She finally got her wish! 👩🏻🦰🧑🏻🦰
So sweet, love that 🥰
my hair always had orange tones ..even professionally bleached. so i just decided to go copper/ginger. maybe people think my hair is badly bleached now though haha.
@rileybrantley7640 oh I know. I was just adding my 2 cents. Hoping someone who accidentally made their hair orange might see it in a different way. They might rock being a red head. 🤩
This was very helpful, thank you! Could I just use a darker toner to tone the orange away?
Love the way you explain and break things down in this video 👏🏽
If you want to remove the orange tone you would need an ash color but what if u want a blond that is a warm tone color ?
To the point. I come to you because there’s no nonsense and I’ve learned a lot from you ♥️
okay that was great, but what if i want to dye it a hot pink or muted purple? Will it be work to put semi permanent color on top of orange hair?
Would you ever suggest using wella additive 050 that’s really blue based. I used to do that to make my hair gray then I’d fade into literally white white
Just curious?
Thank you so much for such wonderfully helpful information, explained in easy to understand terms. You ROCK!
How often can you retone hair?
I got some charcoal conditioner from Sally’s. It’s the only thing that took the orange out and kept it out. No amount of toner, lifter, etc, worked. I should point out mine was from using an imported Italian hair dye that had marigolds in it.
can this be done on top of hair that has been dyed with demi-permanent color? Mines turned out more orange than I would have liked and trying to avoid using a color remover.
Sitting here with the yellow on my scalp and that exact same orange on the lengths. I bought a PERM cool dark blonde (7.11) It's okay if it's getting darker but will I get rid of the orange? 😭😭😭😭
I have natural brown hair that goes more medium brown in the summer and this year it decided to pull red/orange. How would I get rid of it? I'd like to stay with my natural color (whatever that is in the summer) but this red orange is not my favorite. Should I use a blue shampoo? Green? Something else? Help!
Use a good quality blue or black shampoo highly pigmented ones
Does bleach lift hair that has been dyed with permeno color?
Love how you explained it!!!! 👏🏽👏🏽 thanks for sharing this helpful information.
Thank you! This is me right now. I have an Wella “activating lotion” and also a sh*t ton of the Saloncare 10 v developer. Would either of those work with the one you used?
Hello! So I did a balayage and didn’t leave the bleach for too long and I bleached it again on the second day and it lifted. Now I have a lot of dimension, yellows, orange, and my natural hair color. Is pretty but it needs a toner. Should I try purple shampoo first or blue shampoo? Or what Demi color should I go with. I want the still see the dimension. Will a Demi color eliminate my brights ones ?
Thanks ☺️ really enjoying your channel I have learnt so much about hair I bleached my hair today it’s at a level 7 , I will wait a few days then lighten it again , 😊 do I use 30vol again or can I use 20vol to lighten it again? I want to get to a 8-9 ash beige blonde
Im at this hair color stage & ready to change it. Could you help me ?? 😊
Can you lift then deposit with a toner?
I love how simple you explains the levels ❤
If I only have 30 developer can I water it or cut it somehow to take the developer power down a notch? Jw?
There's usually smaller bottles of 10 and 20 developer for purchase but I don't think so. I'm almost certain it can't be diluted. Better low and slow like she says.❤
I use fanola no orange Shampoo and also i bleached a second time. I used oilve oil to protect the scalp before bleaching
Thank you!! Un trying to figure out how to fix an orange mess 😢
Also, can you tell me what brand is your green top? I really like it! Thanks
I tried the demi-permanent in 9NA and orange is pretty much still as strong. Any idea why it’s not working to neutralize the orange? Do the products previously used affect this method working?
Hi i got balayage on black hair and i wanted chocolate, but it's not dark enough and it looks caramellorange to me. How do i fix?
You look beautiful. Love the green top on you 😊
If you’re at a 7, can you do a clean bath starting mid shaft then the root and then swipe through the ends? To break through the orange?
I rarely see on videos about 10 vol mixed with toners causing hot roots, it always seems to be implied that if you're using 10 vol with colours on natural hair that no lift will happen. Definitely does for me at least! ha
Thank You…Fascinating explanation regarding that color wheel.
Hello, in my country there isn’t any toner like t18 . Do you have any suggestions to create a toner with dye?
Wow, I’ve always struggled with figuring out the level when my hair at an orange stage. Your suggestion of looking at it like it’s in black and white is such a great tip! This is a really helpful video! 🫶🏼
So glad I found this, my hair was a blah auburn.. jot what was on the box but it happens. Figure I would lighten a few shades hopefully get to strawberry blonde, better shade than I was sporting.. OMG the brightest orange. & of course 10pm no sally's available. So as just a cover , I just so happened to have brown root spray to use all over carefully! Had work & couldn't sport the neon orange. So glad to see this so I won't have to buy a wig
So question after bleaching the second time ( been living with orangy hair for a month now)can I apply permanent now? After the second bleach or do I have to wait another week or so?
Can you please explain why you wouldn’t use permanent color? Is it mainly to aviid damaging hair? What if you wait for some months to apply permanent? I find annoying to have to reapply semi permanents
So the only way to get it ash light blonde you would have to bleach it?
How long do I have to wait to bleach it again?
If I bleach mine again for round 2 what volume developer should I use with my bleach? Mine is orangey red after my first round.
Thanks for the great info brittnee My hair is almost white with a little dark at the back near ends I don't want Ash I have also some silver already I want to go beige with bleach but don't wanna tone..Any advice.I followed you for years but devices were stolen..drag..x
Hi there! Out of curiosity - what would happen if you used a 18 vol developer with a 8N for this orange color…. ? Planning on balayaging on ends so ok if it lightens a little. Just not if it goes orange again. Have done the blue toner which helped !
Can I use a 6G light golden brown wash out 28 shampoos over my bleached half orange half blonde hair to do a color melt???? Please help
I used permanent color to do a root shadow root and it’s a a little orange. What can I do to fix it now???
Thank you for a great and useful video! I love your 'challenge accepted' attitude and wish more hairstylists shared it.
Can I just ask for a few details that weren't 100% clear to me from the video.. I understand you used conditioner on the lightest strands to avoid damage and unnecessary bleaching, and then you used 20 vol on the brass and orange strands combined with some blond colour? Or only the developer?
And did you use a cold dark toner at the end to create the transition from the roots to the length or was it another colour? I'm sorry if these questions have obvious answers, I'm not exactly a professional hence why I ended up searching "how to fix orange hair" :D Thank you
Is there a third option?????????
I went to the salon and she lifted me to a level 6/7 and now it looks........orange. I was curious about a semi or demi color that is more auburn or reddish brown. Any suggestions as I am NOT going back to this stylist.
Please help! I bleached my hair with Bondbar bleach and my hair is still healthy and my curls are still perfect. I don’t want to use a toner with ammonia like wella t18 and damage my hair and curls so what do you recommend?
any gloss toner- if you can get ahold of redken shades eq, if not Generic brand from sally's has a shades EQ dupe. Just make sure the package says "comparable to shades eq" you don't want to lift the hair at all (the others will) I have a video on it let me find it
ruclips.net/video/k0Ot2ByAAb0/видео.html this one will go over the shades eq dupe
So I toned my hair with wella toner t18 with vol 20 developer because my highlights were getting too yellow and purple shampoo was not enough. Without thinking I slapped the toner all over my head and had some regrowth of roots now my roots are orange and the rest of my hair looks perfect 😅 I know blue cancels out orange and I know the reason why they turned orange because the developer lifted my roots to a level 7 blonde with orange undertones. I do not want to bleach my roots nor do I want to put a permanent color in. I just would like to cancel out the orange/hot roots. What blue toner would you recommend?
Hi! Hoping you will see this and be able to respond. I don’t want the darker result after the demi permanent. I want a shade or 2 lighter. Can I get like a 12a Demi to get a lighter result? My hair is the orange on the mannequin 😭
Probably a dumb question but if I use a level 10 developer with a permanent hair color does that make it a Demi permanent or just mess up the processing and end result?
Best video on color correction! 💯
