FINALLY a video exists on lifting natural black hair (not box dyed hair) to platinum blonde!!!! literally the majority of people have naturally black hair i never understood why it was so hard to find a video like this
i think it's bc a lot of stylists are afraid of the damage this could cause (for good reason lol). u have to really trust that your client is telling the truth about their hair history and take the risk of bleaching it that light
thank you for so much information on hair bleaching. It really makes sense why hair coloring sessions like this tend to be more expensive than people would think because its clear you put SO much time and effort and attention to detail to every part of the process! So much work and it seems tedious and meticulous but the result is stunning and so worth it!
@@BobbyHairStudio Hi I have done a first round of bleach and came out around a 7-8 level, there's a couple small sections 9. I am going to use a 20 vol for second round, how long should it be left on for? I assume I should target the darker parts first. Thanks!
Wow u lifted her perfectly! Your method is how every hairdresser should follow as of the parting and technique for the bleaching you did! Couldn’t have seen a better tutorial for this look !
@@worldhippie NO , you have to do thin sections ... my god you should be super embarassed. no one would ever let you touch their hair after seeing this comment.
Such a fun color. I’m a hairdresser and my hair goes from a platinum level 10 to a solid black on the ends. I started low and slow with a black bob that I kept doing platinum retouches to, it’s been over a year and now I’m mostly blonde. The black can be hard to retouch but it’s so worth it. I hope I see more of this trend.
This looks so great! I honestly don’t understand why I can’t get anyone to get my hair right..my virgin hair (which most of it is right now) isn’t as dark as hers and I want it blonde. No one can get me close. I’ve walked out with light brown, red, even orange. I’ve tried in nyc, Miami, Chicago, etc…I’m ready just to try myself! This hairdresser did a remarkable job
I’ve been going blonde for a lil over a YEAR!! You go through stages, lots of breakage but now my hair is cropped just to have it all grow at one length. That’s my preference!! Salon tried to charge me $200 and that’s before toning saying it’s a “good deal”!! Absolutely not! Lol 😂 Olaplex no.3 is your friend!!! Definitely try doing it yourself and just pay to get the back and roots touched up would be my recommendation. No shadow roots! (Unless you want them).
Sounds like they're scared to bleach it enough if it is virgin. I've gone blonde before and it took almost 5 hours with 2 people foiling. It should be a lot of foils. Mine had to be processed twice to get past light orange brown. Some stylists will only process once in a session and have you come back in two weeks for another session. Especially if you want to keep all your length.
Wow.. you ROCK ❤❤❤ the transformation from dark to light in the same day without damaging the hair, all I can say is your skills are incredible great job 👏🏾 I totally love it. Thank you 🙏🏾🤩
Everyone is so judgmental. She did exactly what the client asked for and that's what makes her a good stylist. Our own personal opinions about whether we like it or not don't matter.
She did ask us to say what we think of the final look. I for one am impressed at her professionalism and skill, however I am not a fan of the darker ends. Yes, it’s a personal choice for me, but she did ask us to comment. No denying that as a stylist she is amazing ❤
She's whitewashed that's what she is. Ruined her hair for a burned blonde hair. I can't with those people , why can't they understand you don't have to look "white" in order to be pretty??
Although I don’t have a problem with her technique, I disagree that being a good stylist means doing exactly what your client wants. Sometimes exactly what your client wants completely destroys their hair and looks terrible. And those cases I think hairstylists should reserve the right to refuse service

Bravo for your honesty in showing different clients’ preferences and your going with its. I would NOT want to do this look because to me it looks like a color correction still waiting to happen, but the process and how you achieved it were smart and clean!
Wow. Amazing. Gorgeous. It's an interesting combination I wouldn't have thought of. Her creativity would take me out of my comfort zone. She definitely went to the right person. 👏❤
I have super dark hair and I want ash blonde. Over 2 years I’ve went to 3 different hairstylists and it always turns out caramel/brassy. They make it look like it’s sooo hard because my hair is black. You did a beautiful job after one session!
The timing here and consideration for ambient temperature is amazing.. UK hairdressers are well trained but never this skilled.. They also rush my process (time is money I guess) plus they are super wary of an over process in case of breakage so the lift is never as blonde as I would like ..They go over with a toner to fix the brassy.. Thank you for this, wish I lived nearer. Refreshing to hear a stylist say what they have learned from the process too. Great work.
@emmsue1053 You're going to the wrong hairdressers. One of my family members owns a salon. He has done London Fashion Week. Famous people go to him and he's won loads of awards. I wouldn't go to Tony and Guy they haven't got a clue what they're doing. I've been twice and would never go back. The staff are rude and have got supercilious attitudes.
Hair quality may be a factor too, although I'd still try to look for hairdressers who specialise in blonde, or also know your hair. I once went to get a full head lightened to a hairdresser, and I'd only done highlights/airtouch before, so, I'd never had my roots bleached. My roots qere also the only virgin part of my hair and I don't understand why the stylist actually started with them. The stylist was also blonde, and so we trusted in her, but in 10 minutes my roots went to almost white blonde, and we had to wash the bleach off because it was burning me way too much - no dye had burned me that badly before. After washing and drying we finished the bleaching on mids/ends (my hair was also quite short back then) and I went out a strawberry blonde. I was fine because I wanted to cover it up with a dark blue, and the pigments and box dyes I had did the job really well, but when my hair grew out and I had already gone back to brown due to work, and then wanted a change again, I went back to my usual stylist who'd always advise me against a full bleach and went back to the airtouch type of bleaching for purples, blues and greens afterwards 😅 rocking a my natural level 6 brown into a level 4 purple (technically the pigment is supposed to be level 3 but it looks like lvl 4-5) fade, and I'm loving it Hope you find the stylist that can get you to your desired result!
I’ve been binging your videos and you’re so good! Work so hard and have such creative talent, plus you listen. It seems I’m in the minority, but I think this trend is so cool and I’d love to try it except with maybe a fashion color on the bottom - she’s ahead of her time.
I think the golden result was extremely beautiful! I would have played those tones just to make them look even more natural but you did what the client wanted even though I’m sure you were screaming inside knowing the possibilities giving also the fact that the golden would have suit her complexion deli-cious-ly!!😢😂 So 👏 👏
Also did a client that was just as much work and took me 4 hours so I know I’m getting better ❤ I go for my license in august and I just love your channel I think I’ve commented on so many of your videos 😂 just beautiful work
Love when you explain the exact products used and the application process but when you break down with the color wheel etc and then show what you use to color or bleach just so helpful.. you did a auburn video from brown to natural red that beautiful auburn copper color I just learned how to make I was blonde on top brown underneath.. so I needed three different formulas because I had extensions too then my natural to tackle after my brain hurt but I did it and got that color you did and just awesome to see that what I ended up doing was right , I noticed you don’t need to work much with red more with brown
It's a job that requires patience and skill. That is stunning job! I love the amazing result ! Even though the way is different from what I use or train for processing & coloring human hair in kgs used in making wigs, hair extensions.

This is amazing ! I kinda want to do this with shades of pink now! Currently have overtoned my hair purple (with good products : it's a very iridescent lavender that turned my hair into a bit of a cold blonde) I really love that "trend" even if it was from a year ago !

Yes, I think it looks so much better curled it just kind of flowed where when it was straight it was very blunt for lack of a better word. One thing that would be great. If you could put the toners you used in your description that would be amazing.
What a beautiful look for her. I had mine done years ago, I’m naturally a very dark brunette. It took a few appointments to get it quite blonde with no damage. Unfortunately, the colour did not suit me and I looked slightly anaemic. I loved the colour and the work that my hairdresser did, but it made me look sallow and also nearly everyone in shops in our country town thought that I was my younger sister who is blonde and things got very confusing 😂. We ended up warming it up a little with a more caramel and it looked terrific. I have Systemic Lupus now and am not brave enough to do anything drastic to my hair as it is affected by the Lupus. Wish I could, love the pale pink look!! Your work is so impressive and I admire your patience and the end result that you attained. Beautiful work!
I love what you’ve done I know this is your old video but I have a three Weller and .I love what you’ve done I know this is your old video but I have an three Weller and my hair would fall off at this point so I’m in the upper hair but it looks beautiful on her great job
What about when you’re pulling the fouls to do the regrowth? That one inch they’ve been pulled are gonna lift more slowly while the rest in the foil is going t be much lighter?

Can you use more shwartzcopt😮 I like the blonde me line it's so purple can you maybe use some Joico and Redken as well I love the Redken blondage purple shampoo and 🟣💜 conditioner it fixes all the split ends and smells like Moroccan oil 🪔
Yes, I think it looks so much better curled it just kind of flowed where when it was straight it was very blunt for lack of a better word. One thing that would be great. If you could put the toners you used in your description that would be amazing.
This is total art ❤
That was a really great lift! Beautiful work 💖✨!!!
Thank goodness its possible😭 I always wanted to go blonde with my natural black virgin hair
I love the color!! Its so unique. The root part was a bit pink but the rest was a seamless ombre wow you did such a good job
Your foils are literally beautiful, jfc
You guys need more videos 😢
Please we need more blonding root videos 🎉
I looove the color gradiant
Beautiful work. How much did you charge? And what line of color are you using?
Nice lift. I would love to work at a bobby hair studio one day. Love how meticulous and knowledgeable. I could learn a lot I bet
thank you! have you checked out my other videos?
Another beautiful work ❤ Amazing!!
Where are you ? I really need a hairdresser like you. Amazing job you did . Her new haircolour is amazing
I thought this was going to really confuse me but you were breaking it down so precisely and it looks rad🤗
im so glad! these kinds of services can be so complicated because you really have to fly by the seat of your pants as you work
@@BobbyHairStudio so so true!
I love your tools and application technique!
Glad you like them!
2hours of bleaching sounds so relaxing
It came out better than I expected!
Can you post a video of the way you would have done the pretty pearl blonde you were talking about 14:46
Bravo, colleague! You got a perfect work! ❤
You are amazing. Love her hair. Beautiful!!!!
Thank you so much!!
Love the video ❤ but did you allow the lightner to sit on her hair for 3 hours total? That’s a bit scary to me
I love what you’ve done I know this is your old video but I have a three Weller and .I love what you’ve done I know this is your old video but I have an three Weller and my hair would fall off at this point so I’m in the upper hair but it looks beautiful on her great job
The colour is beautiful, as you said tho, it would have looked better and more natural to have the darker shade on the roots, excellent job❤
Once styled, it looks great! I am surprised she did not want any shadow/smudge root.
What about when you’re pulling the fouls to do the regrowth? That one inch they’ve been pulled are gonna lift more slowly while the rest in the foil is going t be much lighter?
Love how you did it you're awesome ❤
I need you to do my hair blonde lol it’s amazing how you did it in one session.
