FINALLY a video exists on lifting natural black hair (not box dyed hair) to platinum blonde!!!! literally the majority of people have naturally black hair i never understood why it was so hard to find a video like this

i think it's bc a lot of stylists are afraid of the damage this could cause (for good reason lol). u have to really trust that your client is telling the truth about their hair history and take the risk of bleaching it that light

thank you for so much information on hair bleaching. It really makes sense why hair coloring sessions like this tend to be more expensive than people would think because its clear you put SO much time and effort and attention to detail to every part of the process! So much work and it seems tedious and meticulous but the result is stunning and so worth it!

Such a fun color. I’m a hairdresser and my hair goes from a platinum level 10 to a solid black on the ends. I started low and slow with a black bob that I kept doing platinum retouches to, it’s been over a year and now I’m mostly blonde. The black can be hard to retouch but it’s so worth it. I hope I see more of this trend.

I’ve been going blonde for a lil over a YEAR!! You go through stages, lots of breakage but now my hair is cropped just to have it all grow at one length. That’s my preference!! Salon tried to charge me $200 and that’s before toning saying it’s a “good deal”!! Absolutely not! Lol 😂 Olaplex no.3 is your friend!!! Definitely try doing it yourself and just pay to get the back and roots touched up would be my recommendation. No shadow roots! (Unless you want them).

The timing here and consideration for ambient temperature is amazing.. UK hairdressers are well trained but never this skilled.. They also rush my process (time is money I guess) plus they are super wary of an over process in case of breakage so the lift is never as blonde as I would like ..They go over with a toner to fix the brassy.. Thank you for this, wish I lived nearer. Refreshing to hear a stylist say what they have learned from the process too. Great work.

Katie!?!?!!!!! Did I learn anything 😂😂😂 as ALWAYS, I took it all in and absorbed it 😊. The lift😮was amazing. I've done the dip dye ends and wasn't a fan, no matter how hard it tried to blend it.....there was still a line😭. You really have to peak and valley it😅. You did amazing as always, I would have been super intimidated! By the way, wts the price range for this and how long did it end up taking 😮2 hrs for the foil, that's exhausting. Thank you for sharing ❤

I have experienced that sometimes the clients hair get so dry and damaged after bleaching. Is there any recommendations for products or how do you handle this situation?

The colour is beautiful, as you said tho, it would have looked better and more natural to have the darker shade on the roots, excellent job❤
