Wait a minute ...doesn't your auto insurance cover that? I mean if the vehicle is being financed, it has to have Full Coverage insurance right?
It's not that easy. The window would be able to be fixed through comprehensive coverage, but the stolen items would usually not be included unless it was a vehicle component such as alternator, radio, etc. Most people can claim electronics on their homeowners or renters policy, even if it was stolen from their vehicle. But, in this case, he'd have to have either homeowners or renter's insurance, then they would have to pay a deductible, usually around $500, on both his vehicle policy and home policy. But, doing that would most likely raise his premium, and this theft may happen again. Or, he could avoid all of this and pay out-of-pocket for his window and stolen items. Either way, it's gonna be a loss for him.

@@kurtmitterling5930 You cannot ensure a motor vehicle under homeowners insurance, except maybe an ATV or mini dirtbike, but I'm not too sure on that. Typically, your homeowners insurance will cover all valuables that you own (i.e. Electronics, instruments, artwork, etc.) in addition to the home itself. Vehicles have to be ensured on a valid auto insurance policy by a certified auto insurance provider.
