How does one person get arrested 18 times and is still out walking the streets?
Because of institutionalized racism- some random liberal girl from SF
100 strikes laws
It's just like the squatters that can steal your home you can go away for the weekend and homeless people can change your locks and now you have to evict them welcome to America criminals have all the access
By living and operating in California.
Shitty DAs and lawmakers is how that happens
When someone is arrested 18 times for breaking into a car and they get out with an ankle monitor, there is clearly a MAJOR PROBLEM in the DA's office.
Yeah he ain't doing his fkn job and he's not man enough apparently. We need someone tough on crime! That'll deter the criminals out of SF.

@@tubby_1278 NOPE! You all need to get the Liberals out of your city! Theyre already record amount of your citizens moving to California and Arizona! Keep voting in idiots like Nancy Pelosi and all the other liberal wacks and NOTHING will change

This is such BS! If they really wanted to stop it they would set up bait cars with trackers in the items they are stealing. Track the items to the crew’s location and shut down the entire ring! Simple!!!
Facts
Because they don't want to catch them because they will be caught in their own racist dragnet...
Search up the new glitter bomb video next year the creator mark is teaming up with the law enforcement and creating another glitter bomb audio ,video tracker that starts recording the moment the car gets broken & immediately sends you a notification to let you know to start watching also saves to the cloud
What makes you think they're operating in groups.. they could be solo delinquents
They catch them, but the DA lets them go in the same day. Police gave up since they arrested someone in the morning and the saw him in the street in the afternoon.
As someone who has lived in Indonesia for 20 years and the US for 10 years, I can say that Indonesia is a safer place to be in right now.
The DA should be removed immediately. The mayor should also be held responsible.

In Texas. If you do this 3 times. You literally go to jail for life. Its called the 3 strikes your out law. Crazy how SF handles this.
Stop the cap. In Texas breaking into a car is a misdemeanor. The chances of you getting a strike for that is highly unlikely. They’ll probably give you a strike if you do it three times, but not when doing it once.
@@El650Jefe yes. In Texas three misdemeanors also turn into a felony. Learn what you speak.
“Boudin announced on February 28 that his office would no longer seek charges for contraband found during “pretextual” traffic stops and would not charge status enhancements that increase jail sentences, such as those imposed for gang membership or for having three strikes, with the intent of diminishing racial disparities in policing and sentencing.”

“The richest city in the world, the tech capital of the world. How did we get here?” I think the man just answered his own question. When you have a city that the richest and most expensive on earth, you need a 300k a year salary just to rent a one bedroom apartment in SF. What do you expect?? You know how hard it is to get ahead in life let alone to make 300k a year. Massive social inequities have been created in the city, this is the result.
I like how this isn't mentioned anywhere in the news story lol. It's like they're thinking clearly if we lock these guys up it'll just magically stop happening. It may reduce the amount or make the thefts less brazen but it isn't a solution to the root cause of the problem by any means.

So clearly, the police are not prioritizing car break-ins because the DA does not attempt to apply maximum sentencing to minimize incarceration time which costs the State money?! Now you know why you have multiple offenders on the Street causing the majority of these offenses because they know even if they are caught, 18 times, in some cases, they are back out in hours or days!
@Last name First name I'm not a California native or from the US but, I believe that you may be mixing up the term "crime" vs the severity of the charge, or at least I hope damn well that is what is happening in San Fran/ California otherwise EVERYONE will be stealing stuff that is less than $1,0001 I believe what you mean it is considered petty theft/ misdemeanor for a value less than $1,000 and anything above is considered a felony (more serious). I'm pretty sure the value of the items stolen were above $1,000. Also, issue is repeat offenders are taking advantage of the lax sentencing from what I gather.
Those glitter bomb youtubers did more to deter car break-ins than the cops. Can't the cops set up sting operations and gps trackers on the stolen goods to take the ring leaders down??

I have a gun ready for the first genius who tries to open the door of my car
@@davidp2707 You have a gun with a permit in a car IN SAN FRANCISCO??
I don't believe you.
You probably grew up in Montclair or Piedmont.
@@obijuankenobi420 ño by Oakland high, don't judge people, I am disabled and alternative, I always have been, working class...
You couldn't imagine the corruption lawlessness is an understatement.
When I wasn't disabled yet, I used a BART bicycle pass to go bike riding in San Francisco. I locked my bike two blocks from City Hall to grab a bite. When I left the restaurant, I noticed that my bike was stolen. in the afternoon. 😣
In the past year, I’ve traveled to Chicago, Atlanta, LA, Austin and Boston for work. Not once did I see any broken glass. Just last week, my car parked at home back in the Bay Area was vandalized with all its windows broken. Nothing taken. All these while I’m in a different city for work. This says a whole lot about the Bay Area and the people in charged. I trust all the cities I’ve traveled to more than my hometown. Screw the mayor and DA.
Then you truly didn't see these cities. Car break ins are a common thing in these cities you just don't see it as much as in SF for some reason lol. Besides if it's not petty car break ins it's other crimes (robberies, shootings, assaults etc.)
Yeah not even LA is as bad as San Fran
Lmao what? Have you guys seen skid row? How about the gang on gang shoot out in Chicago that was labeled “mutual combat” so that they couldn’t prosecute anyone?
SF is dog shit but so are most of the rest of these massive democratic cities, not just sfw
LOL You were lucky then because I see them and how they do.
you obviously didn't spend enough time in Chicago... you get greeted with an occasional drive by shooting here just to keep things interesting.
In Paris there are green berets patrolling with Famas. Feels crazy safe. Lived there a year.
Yea, well, you can't shoot someone for stealing.
First time I came to France I was shocked to see that. You'll never see military units in the streets in the US.
Oregon Crow You can in many countries, like mine. Rather live in my third world country with delicious bananas, than fifth world, dystopian 💩🕳s like yours, like San Francisco, Detroit, Portland, Oakland, Minneapolis, NY, Chicago, Philadelphia, East St. Louis, Camden, LA, Cleveland, Gary, Baltimore... etc. 👌🏻
Junr34 The US rather become a fifth world, dystopian 💩🕳 than order it's military onto the streets for fear of looking like a "third world country", like France or Belgium. The cognitive dissonance and lack of self awareness is beyond parody!
@@OregonCrow oh yeah they can, and they will
Imagine driving to SF for business or pleasure, then parking your car only to have it broken into, ticketed, and pooped on by the time you go back to your car…that has by all likelihood happened to multiple people in SF.
70 reported cases a day. You can easily add 100 more cases a day that people don't report anymore.
I love how the reporter is all serious with “how did we get here?” Where should we begin?
As many have pointed out. Many of these thieves have been caught on camera hopping out of expensive and even luxury cars. This tells me that what is most likely happening is that an organized ring of car thieves has formed hitting different locations at different times in a methodical way. They probably take it as a job. And from the looks of it the crime pays well if they can afford all of those nice things.
Exactly. I remember when thieves were on foot or buckets. These thieves are a new type of thieves ... robbing in luxury air conditioned cars ... very confusing.
Cars are probably also stolen. Not registered. Getting a license plate wont help
😂😂 y’all don’t know anything
I was planning a road trip to SF, but I can’t afford to replace my car windows!! 😬
Auto stores are now selling a magnetic sign to put on the side of your car: please don't hurt me.
Is it politically incorrect to point out that most of the people caught on video looting cars are disgraces to the race?
What many people are thinking but not saying. Just watch the videos. Someone of influence within that category needs to speak up
Bring back three strikes laws.
How dare you racist
Our rental car suffered a smash & grab parked on a busy street in Golden Gate Park. $1200 damage to to the car and $4900 worth of stuff in the three backpacks stolen. Ridiculous that SF won't do more. I'm guessing there might be "they're just dumb tourist" idea; we're not dumb; we'll never be SF tourists again.
Mean while Pelosi sits back in her mansion eating her expensive ice cream laughing
This is actually some solid journalism here. Good job
I forgot I was watching msnbc
I love how the reporter acts clueless as to what’s going on. Who doesn’t know that lax law enforcement policies and too few police on the streets are the big problems? This is what you get with the “defund the police” movement. It shall only get worse!
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Media has been the cheerleaders of the lawlessness legitimizing deprivation for years!
It would be expensive to flood SF with police. High salary, plus benefits and equipment. I wonder how much are the people of SF willing to spend to fix this.
first strike = left hand gets the cut, 2nd strike = right hand goes, 3rd strike = get the rope. It's easy to stop crimes if you decide to hold criminals accountable. the issue with crimes is we don't deal with criminals. imagine car insurance don't charge you more for having more accidents and DMV won't take away your license no matter what, everyone would just be insured and drive like crazy. Now imagine road rage killing is legal... yeah, i am sure no one will ever cut me off twice. facts.
Word out in the prisons systems:
"You can go to SF and literally ....literally....earn a living breaking into cars and they don't care!!"
Put paint bombs in some bait packages and luggage. When the thieves open the loot inside their Mercedes, Audi, or their kitchen, they get a fresh hot pink or fluorescent lime green paint job.
Outstanding job by the camera crew for not showing any of the criminals' faces.
Unfortunately, once they start, it can't be stopped until they are taken off the street. These kids are also getting an adrenaline rush from doing this. Parents need to be vigilant and get involved if they suspect something before these kids spend their life regretting these actions behind bars. Maybe for these crimes or an escalation into harder crimes.
