Becky, you are the best at sharing new (to me) techniques and presenting how-to videos!! I always learn something new and I appreciate your matter of fact way of explaining why you’re doing something as you’re designing. I’m excited to give this project a try as I have just a “little” bit of fabric to use up! 😬 TFS, Kate
I made this design today with a very similar design to the one you used. It turned out so cute. I love it. I didn't use the spray you used - only heat n bond. My cut came out perfectly. I love the tshirt and am happy to have found a use for some of my fabric. Plus I got that fabric blade when I got my cricut and this is the first time I actually used it. So was glad for that as well.

Oh yeah!!! That turned super cute!!! I L🐾VE this new technique and can't wait to use it!! I Even have a tote bag ready to go!! Thank you so very much!!! 💗🐾💗🐾💗🐾💗🐾💗🐾💗
Have you ever cut lycra with bond-a-web or a temporary heat adhesive on the back ? What settings would you recommend. I am new to cameo 4 and make leotards so this would be very useful to repeat identical designs. Does retail magic soften up after washed and would I need a rotary cutter? I am real new to this so sorry for all the questions
Hi Cassandra! Thank you for reaching out and we are happy to help. Are the leotards used for gymnastics or dance? We haven't tried those products on lycra, but Siser makes a wonderful Stretch HTV that would withstand the pull of the spandex in the leotards. Yes, for fabric you would need the rotary blade (if not the fabric will fray)! Fabric Magic does shrink up to 30-percent to add texture and will last through laundering. - Dawn 🥰
That did turn out really cute! Only thing is I wonder if you really needed to spray it to stiffen it up.Wouldn't the heat and bond be enough? From my old quilting and appliqué days, it seems to me like it should be if you use an extra stiff heat and bond. In any event, i do want to try that with something ... and there is little I love more than a doggie design so mine might turn out very much like yours :) And I probably would find use for the negative space design of the paw.
Hey Olivia! The Heat N Bond is technically enough, but the Terial Magic really makes a big difference in getting a crisp cut through the individual fibers. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Ok, another question. Decided to try this with a sublimated design for a hooded towel. I know you need to dub on poly fabric but when applying the vinyl outline to seal edges I found the sub piece had shrunk so htv did not fit it. Also found the heat and bond did not stick with heat press. Re subbed on felt and was better but any other suggestions? I learn so much from you!
Our apologies for the delay in response and we hope you've found the answer but if you are still having any troubles, please feel free to write in to mail@designbundles.net or join us in a live chat so we can help with your next project! - Brittany

This was great! Thank you. What temperature did you have your Cricut Easy Press set at to apply the Heat n Bond?
It looks like it was at 320 😊 Then later when pressing everything it was 310.

So for most any fabric you can use your autoblade? Or what blade is the best to use?
Love this!!! Thanks for the great idea!! I have some fabric that I love but I've been sitting on it for years not knowing what to do with it!!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching! 😊

Oh think I just answered my own question! Found the video on using easy subli and ordered some.
What temperature did you set the cricut easy press for the heat n bond application ??
Hi Diahann! It's set to 320. Thank you for watching with us today 😊
Thank You
Happy to help! 😊
Do you use fabric a bit bigger so HTV can cover that? Is what I’m understanding this correctly?

Love it! Can a design be scanned to use?
Yes, as far as I know, you can just scan and then trace the image in Silhouette Studio. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Will this work with the cricut maker
Hey Tasha, absolutely, I'll link you to the Cricut video we have for this project. Hope this helps! ---Becky
