WHERE were you two years ago when I was designing a sewing shirt and wanted stitched letters to go with the old fashioned sewing machine that I was using with HTV! I did find a stitched alphabet but had to add some stitches to make it look right. I was very new then and took some doing to get the extra stitches in. I feel like an idiot, I've seen the dotted lines in the Line Style menu, but it never occurred to me to use them to add stitches to any alphabet... 😆I think that my design would work nice with sublimation too. Oh, I wanted to tell you what I decided about weeding the stitched letters? Reverse weed as in peel the letter off and either tape it down with blue heat tape OR peel the letter off, get rid of the stitches and put the letter BACK on the carrier sheet! Once I figured that out, made life easier! VERY informative video!
Thank you Becky, I've tried to do this in the past and never understood why changing the line thickness didn't alter the cut. I really enjoy your videos. You are a great teacher.
Thanks for another information packed video Becky!! When you pointed out that tracing the “stitches” so they are cut rather than just perforated was an a-ha moment for me!! 😄
Becky!!! You are amazing! I’ve literally been looking for a “stitched font” all evening then came here to watch another one of your tutorials for something I needed a refresher on. Thank you for being such a great teacher!
Hi Becky! Great tutorial. I want to draw faux stitching on cardstock. I did buy those ready-made designs on your website. I love how you used fill patterns to print the designs. Where can I purchase those fill patterns? TIA, Sheryl
Hey Sheryl, I grabbed this fill pattern with my Plus Membership at Design Bunndles. I'll link it for you here. Hope this helps! ---Becky designbundles.net/plusstore/1198896-set-of-seamless-patterns-easter-gnome
Thanks for the tutorial. I have done this before, but instead of tracing the stitching, I've just selected edge cut. Is there an advantage in doing the tracing, rather than edge cut?

Design in silhouette & cut in CRICUT...just have to keep track of how many projects I do monthly🙄 This might require multiple watches😇 THANK YOU BECKY!
I have the c maker with all but 2 tools and 3 older Cricuts, 2 are second hand. I have a black cat cigar Machine. I bout business edition of silhouette studio so I would be able to create some designs. I discovered last night that some of the business options within the software are Not Actual Options if you do not have a silhouette machine to connect to. Just wanted to be able to use All Tools Etc within the business silhouette software to create. On a extremely limited income with little opportunity to buy another machine. Any ideas? BTW enjoy your videos...
Hey Darlene! I'd love to help you with this! Other than a few of the cutting features (cutting with multiple machines, cutting by layer), I can't think of anything that wouldn't be available to you. What features are giving you trouble? ---Becky
@@DesignBundles added: I’m not sure of other options that may not be available. I have to go slow with learning, I retain steps better. So haven’t had the chance to check everything out yet. I’m not at my computer now...
Fun tutorial, however it's hard to keep up with your actions, being a newbie! I wish you could have gone a step beyond and showed how you print and cut it, etc. Thanks for this video though..
I'm so sorry about that! We have videos on Print and Cut with silhouette: ruclips.net/video/gUcXsRBoiyc/видео.html and here are all the rest of our Silhouette tutorials: ruclips.net/user/DesignBundlessearch?query=Silhouette

Hi there! Yes, you could do this as a print and cut and use printable vinyl! - Dawn 🙂

Could this be used for sublimation ?

It definitely could be used for Sublimation! 😊

When You add the pattern to the text. how do You in the next stage move just the pattern and leave the faux stitches. MY text Moves everything ?
We would check to see if your elements are grouped together and ungroup!
@@DesignBundles Thank You for Your reply, I was adding the pattern to the text and not to the Offset. Thanks again I have now sorted it .
