So glad I came across this channel as I myself and, I’m sure all of us watching, love working with our hands in a creative and innovative fashion. You deserve all the success given to you! Very excited to see what projects come next!!!
I remember meeting Bryan at LAX a few years ago, back in around 2019. He had broken his wrist and was still carrying around his baby in his baby chair. Really cool guy.
As someone who was a long time fan of team edge and started to get into wood working, you were one of the last people I expected to start a woodworking channel. I see this talking this farther into your life and making more really cool projects like this and I can’t wait to see the community u create. I also really appreciate the fact that despite your mistakes you keep pursuing these big project that I have never really seen before and I can tell you love making.
As a wise man once said, “There are no mistakes. There are only happy little accidents.” When it comes to your builds, those little imperfections makes a person realize that this wasn’t built by only machines where there are millions of the same item. You made that yourself and everything you make, even with imperfections, makes the quality and meaning of the build so much more! Watching these videos make me want to start trying out and experiment with wood-working more often!

I absolutely love this way of showing the thought process and even simple mistakes. Thanks so much for this type of gift, this channel, love to all.

Great project, loved the finished look. One thing I would like changed would be the keyboard and trackpad, Being a IT guy I know that using a flat keyboard is not comfortable at all and starts being a pain after a few minutes of use. I hope you come up with some kind of a fix for that since your Brother-in-law is going to be using it.
Very cool desk. I have a lot of respect for how humble you are. You're almost egoless. I can't say the same for myself, but everyday I try to be more that way. I'm thankful I get to watch your journey and always look forward to your uploads. God bless you and your family.
i’m gonna be fully transparent (much like Joey in these videos which i very much appreciate), when the very first video on this channel popped up on my home page i didn’t think i was gonna be very into it, but the more and more builds i see, i am DIGGING this content. Keep it up man!
I’m so glad to see you and Matthias even after the devastating ends of Dope or Nope and Team Edge, I used to fall asleep to both of you when I was 12-16 and watch your videos when I was drawing or doing homework, I’m now 18 and I now find myself still falling asleep peacefully to your videos and drawing while watching this, thank you for your white noise and new content J-Fred!! Not even 5 videos on your channel and Ive already watched all videos at least 10 times! CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE ALREADY!❤❤❤
Seeing ones like this is really nice, I know Team Edge is gone now, but there's probably a lot of people here who were fans and long time watchers, so seeing you build wood work for the old members is a lot of fun.
The most fantastic desk I have ever seen in my whole life. I have been watching this channels page every day since the last video waiting for the next one.
Honestly your attitude toward "failure" made me go whittle a little bit before finishing the video. This is very wholesome and I can't wait to see your next build!
I’ve been watching you since I was 15 when you, Matt, and Bryan started team edge. I was subbed even before the first video! I’m now 24. I didn’t really think this channel would be something I would be into but wanted to watch anyways to support you like always. I was pleasantly surprised! You have such creative ideas and it’s fun to see things come together (even through the mistakes lol). I’m so happy for you that you’re getting so much success from this channel so far and I hope that continues. Congrats on what you’ve done so far and I’ll be tuning into future videos like always :)
Don't beat yourself up. The act of making IS learning through failure. It is impossible to make anything without stumbling your way through unforeseen mistakes and oversights. Ask any maker and they'll tell you the same thing. Nobody has made anything without making mistakes along the way. You are a maker, no doubt about it
By the way, the difference between hard and soft woods has nothing to do with strength and more so can be determined by the leaves (hardwood) or needles (softwood) and if they fall during specific seasons or are evergreen. An example is Balsa wood which is considered a hard wood even though its very soft and light. 18 min into the video and im loving it by the way!
I love seeing you make mistakes because I know nothing about construction and seeing the things that go wrong help me have a better understanding. I don't want to see someone so skilled that they make it look easy, I want to see someone learn with me
12:39 if you ever find yourself in that situation again, you can use ratchet straps. Since the long sides stay inside the ends, it’s a great way to pull them in. I’ve had to use it on longer glue ups that exceed my 5ft pipe clamps.
@ I call it the “Must Hurry” shuffle. We all seem to forget how long 5 minutes is (or 8-10 minutes if TB3) and loose our minds trying to make sure the joints are aligned and tight. Tunnel vision is a killer. Also, we forget that those numbers are ‘open’ (assembly) time. You still have additional time to tighten the joint before it’s too late. I’ve rushed like the hounds of hell were chasing me, gotten done and been like “Oh… I still have 5 minutes”. 😂 From Titebond: Titebond Original has an open assembly time of 5 minutes and a clamp time of 30 minutes at 70°F and 50% relative humidity. Titebond III wood glue has an open assembly time of 8-10 minutes and a total assembly time of 20-25 minutes at 70°F and 50% relative humidity.
This is the second video of yours I’ve seen and I really love how much perseverance you show throughout the hardships you run into. Really inspires a klutz like myself to get into woodworking/making stuff when I get to a place where I have the funds and space to set up a proper workshop!
This seemed very emotionally rewarding for you, I can tell and I’m sure everyone else can as well but you and Brian have a special bond that even blood can’t create. He loves you and you love him and the fact you thought of gifting this to him the entire process of the build also shows your character and love/appreciation you have for him in your life. Congrats on the build and oh yea… its beautiful, I am very jealous I dont have something like this for my self!
Those brass rods could also have helped hold the two pieces of Ebony together. A common technique in Gunpla is to drill two pilot hoels in high stress cinnextions, pass a brass rod through, then glue the two pueces togeher. Might help save another small build in the future.
I mean, imperfections aside... It is beautiful, and it is an absolute showpiece! I'm glad you gave it to him, the excitement on your brother's face says it all, that he is more than happy to have such a work of craftsmanship in his office, as he should be~ Excellent work, excellent video
i love watching you go through trial and error and how you use that in each video. you get better and better and use that experience each time. you seriously are so fun to watch and i’m sooo glad you made this channel!
Thought so too. First video I watched was that horrible space underneath his stairs, that one even had such an unnecessary skit where he FaceTimes his friend… I hope this one will be better tho
It's nice seeing someone actually make mistakes while woodworking, social media usually potrays people as "perfect" seeing the mistakes not only makes it more real, but mistakes are a good way to learn.
Dude, your work is just beyond amazing, you should be proud of yourself. My father is furniture designer and since childhood i worked with him on such a projects. It takes knowledge, art, emotions, skills, mathematics to be able to make not just regular project, but piece of art that stays with you and your grandkids for long time.
One method for filling cracks in wood is to collect the dust from the wood and mix it with glue until it becomes a paste. The paste can then be applied to the holes to fill them and sanded down, giving the wood a wonderfully smooth look.
I don’t follow any other craftsman channel on RUclips and never watch any content like this, yet every time you post a video I find myself putting everything else aside and giving it my undivided attention. This channel is great, 10/10

The reason I love watching All these shows that you and your friends have put on is because I am permanently disabled I fought cancer for 28 years And the things you do make me want to keep going and Try some try something new By the way I am cancer free now I am now 51 I am now 51 years old and not supposed to be the age of 4God bless you all
Your creations may not be the most professional but they are definitely the most creative projects I have ever seen.
cool desk unless you have a cat
Cat paw prints would make even better!
@@boontindo Think about it a bit more.
It's really good of you to include your family, especially your wife.
21:55 I have a hard time believing that motion was necessary 🤨😂
Lmao fr
backshots

Great video and beautiful creation!
We are so glad to see our keycaps on such a beautiful build!
I love how you incorporate your love for God and Jesus in your videos. God is good!! 💟✝️
Why? Shouldn't hard wood be hard?
I love seeing you make mistakes because I know nothing about construction and seeing the things that go wrong help me have a better understanding. I don't want to see someone so skilled that they make it look easy, I want to see someone learn with me
You know it is a great day when Joey uploads the next Man Made video. Let's goooooooooooooo
Let's go!
12:39 if you ever find yourself in that situation again, you can use ratchet straps. Since the long sides stay inside the ends, it’s a great way to pull them in. I’ve had to use it on longer glue ups that exceed my 5ft pipe clamps.
I have literally done that before. Why didn't I think of it then lol
From Titebond:
Titebond Original has an open assembly time of 5 minutes and a clamp time of 30 minutes at 70°F and 50% relative humidity.
Joey: “I’m confident in my masculinity”
Also Joey: *deepens his voiceover*
(I want to hear his real voice so baddd)
I recently subscribed to this channel after watching office under stairs, subscription was so worth it, I love how the result looks
I mean, imperfections aside... It is beautiful, and it is an absolute showpiece!
I'm glad you gave it to him, the excitement on your brother's face says it all, that he is more than happy to have such a work of craftsmanship in his office, as he should be~
Excellent work, excellent video
Watched Team edge years ago, and had an absolute psych trip realizing yall were the same people. Glad y’all’r still doing cool stuff together.
When you first said this idea came from your brother, surprisingly, I didn't even think of Matthias. Even though I am a fan of his.
IMAGINE SPILLING COFFEE ON TABLE 💀
💀💀💀💀💀
i love watching you go through trial and error and how you use that in each video. you get better and better and use that experience each time. you seriously are so fun to watch and i’m sooo glad you made this channel!
Really dope build and I am glad Brian wanted to keep it. I look forward to you christening your next build with the wood burner.
I look at this channel again for the first time in a few weeks, and I find this video was posted 21 minutes ago. Sweet.
0:25 seconds in and then i realized who this was LMFAO
LITERALLY I WAS SO SHOCKED
is this the guy from dude perfect
@@DevvinLua youre thinking of Garrett- not him. they do look awfully similar though.
Who is it?
@@tannercoons8399 the guy in the video is Joey aka J-Fred from Team Edge and Dope or Nope
One method for filling cracks in wood is to collect the dust from the wood and mix it with glue until it becomes a paste. The paste can then be applied to the holes to fill them and sanded down, giving the wood a wonderfully smooth look.
11:15 not only man made, now WoMan Made
“I could give it to my cousin Bobby cause…obviously”

I smiled when I saw the Blacktail Studio T-Shirt. I am a fan of the account as well.
0:55 “show these punks how a real man works hard.” Sureee

Showing your mistakes is the best part of your videos. It teaches much more about the process and can help people to avoid the same mistakes.
always love the naturally concurring potted plants at the beach
I don’t follow any other craftsman channel on RUclips and never watch any content like this, yet every time you post a video I find myself putting everything else aside and giving it my undivided attention.
This channel is great, 10/10
Totally agree

Love this for you!!! I've been a fan for a while. Honestly, watching you make things has made me want to be more creative. The look on Bryans face when you said it yours was priceless.
