It’s crazy-I kept searching the titles of the songs he released because I thought the were preexisting songs already written and released! Especially “Fear is the mind killer”🌟Unreal💫
I'm 71 and obsessed with this song. It's so full of 60s uncertainty and then hope for the future. If I've learned anything in life, it's that life is fluid, and if we give it a moment, it will change. Nothing is forever, but if our wheels are turning, it's an opportunity to make things better. Bless you, Jesse. Please take care that your wheels don't turn too fast. Enjoy this moment. ❤
I call Jesse an inspiration not because he makes good music and I want to articulate that; but because as a fellow musician he takes every single excuse I have ever had about music creation and obliterates them in their entirety. I genuinley don't know what else you would call a person who does that with every song other than an Inspiration.
Yeah boi. Collective consciousness for the win! We can all let ourselves channel this kind of pure creativity, but sometimes someone like this man comes along to humble us all.
Cannot get enough of Jesse's music! I really hope he gets the opportunity to release his music on vinyl, I'd love to add it to my small collection, sit back and pop it on and just let it play through
That is a brilliantly written and arranged song. If Bob Dylan, Marty Robbins, Gordon Lightfoot, Don McLean, and John Lennon all sat in a room together and cranked out one song.. it might sound something like this.
This guy is the best folk singer of the last 30 years. All of his songs are absolutely brilliant and I can't stop listening. I don't even normally listen to this type of music but damn. I've been rocking Jesse Welles for days now. Patchwork was playing all day while I was working yesterday. I hope he blows up and becomes a household name cause he's amazing! Does he ever tour? I want to see him play so bad. I'd love to see him playing in the woods somewhere. He should travel around and put on random performances in the woods along powerline clearings 😂 It would be iconic.
this is a very beautiful performance of one of Jesse's best folk songs IMO. His voice is really on, and the face is glowing. His joy playing this really shines throughout.
It's rare these days that a song makes me stop, listen and just zone everything out and mellow the hell out. If that happens...always this guy right here. You're a gift to the world man.
All of Jesse's real fans know how much hes like Dylan, Guthrie, Prine etc. But my god, this one really is the most like dylan I've heard. Absolutely love it, really reminded me of my childhood listening to Bob. Got this and bugs on repeat atm .. but my favourites change every week! The talent is insane 🤯 i cant cope with how blessed we are to have Jesse in our lives! 😅
The breadth of lyrics, styles, themes, Melodie’s from this guy is staggering….. how can you write that many songs that close together and all stand out from each other? Friggin Genius……
Your music is more than just melodies; it's a reflection of life's complexities. Your lyrics resonate deeply, reminding me of moments I thought were forgotten. You've gained a lifelong fan!
In my opinion what we are seeing is the beginning of the next great American rebel. If you watch the music video for gimme the sweet and low down by social distortion Mike Elliot Ness layer out the mt Rushmore of the greatest rebels of all time you had Woody Guthrie, James Dean, Bob Dylan, and Sid Vicious notice only one name was punk two folk and an icon. Jesse Welles has lyrical complexity and simplicity that both Dylan and Guthrie had. In some of his other songs he has a folk beat that reminds me of the orphans he’s got that punk sound in his singing and he appears young enough to be able to become an icon. Someone better find him and give him his Chance to prove me right because I love to to watch that all unfold. Jesse Welles should be award a spot on that wall no a tattoo on the skin of the great American rebel
I keep coming back to this one. My wheels are turning at a faster pace at 71. Thank you for this philosophy of life. Keep turning and burning bright, young man. ❤
This is the most beautiful comment and compliment⭐️ God bless and keep filling your soul with incredible talent like thing talented young soul. I will be 50 next month and feel like we are finally getting to experience magical music and meaningful lyrics that hit your soul the way it used to. Thank you for making my day. 🎶✝️💜
I can't stop listening. Everytime i share with friends or fam and they dont get it I lose a little bit of respect or connection to them.. should be an instant thank you.. you'd think
He certainly does have an extraordinary talent he’s on another level as far as composers go. He reminds me of popular older country musicians but he’s got his own original spin. Sometimes he sounds a little like Bob Dylan when he talks only he can actually sing, music is expression and I really appreciate the genuine insight he projects through his music. He’s just great I’ve been listening too him nonstop now, so far my 3 favourites are “that can’t be right,” “Fat,” and “Bugs” 🤣 my son likes the bugs song a lot too.
Dude, you are one of the coolest motherfuckers on the planet. Guthrie ain’t got nothing on you, Dylan too. So reassured to know music hasn’t died quite yet. And if you can sing like this, about Bugs, mate, you could sing the phone Book and make it sound good. If I ever get to the US, I’d love a jam.
thanks again Jesse. I look forward to every new song you make. you are a cure for the sadness that won't let me be in this shit town world. really little brother, you give me hope. seriously, thank you thank you
Jesse, I know you hear the John Prine comments, but “oh boy”😊 you have filled a void in my heart that I thought couldn’t be filled since John passed. I live in Nova Scotia Canada, and I just put myself on the waiting list for your November show at the Red Room in Boston. I’m coming down anyway and making a crazy offer to somebody going to the show. I bet when you hit millions of subs you will not change. Thanks
The gift that keeps on giving, buddy I'm just waiting until you give me the option to give back. You're my MVP this year for sure, got me through a hard time brother. Thank you ❤🤘
I'll never hesitate to click on a new Welles song. I hope you achieve great success. As a Afghan war vet that feels many things when someone thanks me for my service, War isn't Murder is my favorite. "Let's talk about deeeaaad people." 👍Perfectly blunt
Great song. I've been looking and waiting for years for a singer songwriter like this to follow. Keep it up mate. I hope your making good money out of it.
I've only listened to this guy for a day. There's enough here to keep me satisfied for a year. It's an overwhelming amount of incredible songwriting. If you ever come to Texas, I'd love to hear you.
Im feeling pretty bummed out laying here alone in some shitty hotel bed on the wrong side of the country. Missing my wife and my kids. Just found your music, and it's making me feel a little better. Thanks for what you're doing, brother. Keep it up. It's great.
I can’t get over how many quality songs this dude keeps putting out. Seriously this is the most prolific explosion of excellent songs
It’s crazy-I kept searching the titles of the songs he released because I thought the were preexisting songs already written and released! Especially “Fear is the mind killer”🌟Unreal💫
Unmatched
Amazing
The GOAT
I check spotify every morning to see if hes put out studio versions of this last batch.
Truly remarkable
I’m just an old English Professor but I know poetry when I hear it.

The rare occasion you see someone and realize they are doing exactly what they were meant to do in life! 🎸 🇨🇦

I genuinley don't know what else you would call a person who does that with every song other than an Inspiration.
Brother has seriously tapped into something. I don’t understand how it’s happening, but I hope it goes on…
Yeah boi. Collective consciousness for the win! We can all let ourselves channel this kind of pure creativity, but sometimes someone like this man comes along to humble us all.
Cannot get enough of Jesse's music! I really hope he gets the opportunity to release his music on vinyl, I'd love to add it to my small collection, sit back and pop it on and just let it play through
Wells is fucking the kinda dude I wish I had a band with when I was youthful and more excited about life's possibilities
Rare specimen
I feel lucky and special to be a Jesse Welles fan before the rest of the world catches up.
Very clever lyrics about physical laws of nature. Love how he uses the interchangeable homophones, wheel and we'll.
Turn and turn me on..
That is a brilliantly written and arranged song. If Bob Dylan, Marty Robbins, Gordon Lightfoot, Don McLean, and John Lennon all sat in a room together and cranked out one song.. it might sound something like this.

Holy shit! Intro threw me off guard but this is one of your most beautiful songs
You just keep kicken em out brotha. Such an awesome singer songwriter. Thank you for your art sir!!
You are the only thing good I've found on RUclips for a while now. I look forward to every upload.
"I don't know, I hope so" best bit, love it!
It's rare these days that a song makes me stop, listen and just zone everything out and mellow the hell out. If that happens...always this guy right here. You're a gift to the world man.
Damn! People may compare you to , Dylan, but honestly, I ain't never seen nothing like you! Brilliant!
This is amazing, there’s no one he should be compared to - he’s in a class by himself.
Amen ⭐️✌️
For the umth time Jesse has released one of the greatest folk songs I've ever heard
Jesse is the 2024 MVP for white boy summer
F'N A RAY
All of Jesse's real fans know how much hes like Dylan, Guthrie, Prine etc. But my god, this one really is the most like dylan I've heard. Bugs has me hooked right now bad.
This song is gonna be the official theme song to the new course I'm teaching... The Quantum World ... for a whole bunch of reasons.. perfect!
Just love the simple creative beauty of your songs.
F****ng BRILLIANT!!! You are the talent of this era Jesse. Loving watching your journey man.
This is the song Jesse...pure brilliance. Just so fucking beautiful.
You're so awesome. I'm so happy to have come across your music. ❤

love the way you see the world around you and especially the beautiful way you share it with all of us, Jesse, thank you.
This. This is the thing that music has been missing since about the mid 70's. I don't know what it is, but I know it when I hear it.
This guy has put out as many songs this year as many artists do in a career. Jesse wellspring of music
Keep spinning on lil bro!!!❤❤
never skip a Jesse Welles video
God…they’re all good! This and fear is the mind killer on repeat
Unreal output as usual. Just relentless without a dip in quality.

I listen to this 20 times in a row …such a great tune
Me too, in fact I’ve worked up a studio version of it, backing vocals, harmonies, bongos, tambourine and drums. I wanna get it to him, somehow.
It’s been truly amazing to watch Jesse over the last year. Cranking out new songs every few days, getting the recognition he deserves.
Idk how you keep doing it but I'm glad I'm here for it
This young man has an incredible gift , you go Mr. Jesse !!
I keep coming back to this one. My wheels are turning at a faster pace at 71. Thank you for this philosophy of life. Keep turning and burning bright, young man. ❤

Thank you for making my day. 🎶✝️💜
Looks like Jim Morrison sounds like Bob Dylan. Love this!
Thank you for putting these great songs out in the public instead of going through the big label's monopoly.🌳 🌲 🌱
Man produces better song with single camera in the woods than most do with full team behind them.❤
Jesse, I like all of your songs that you have been posting on here but THIS song is an absolute hit.
I can't get enough. Continue channeling that truth and God bless you!!!
This is lyrically and musically beautiful. Exceptional
❣️
Love this; you're definitely the Bob Dylan of our generation ❤
I jokingly call him Dylan Cougar Mellen-Jagger
Jesse, dude, this is a hit plain and simple. Keep doing what you're doing, whatever it is, it's working.
I can't stop listening. Everytime i share with friends or fam and they dont get it I lose a little bit of respect or connection to them.. should be an instant thank you.. you'd think
Keep on sharing friend , I have the same feelings sometime.
Don't give up on ppl I feel your pain but we have to be able to reach them it's up to us
It’s peculiar, isn’t it? I just can’t fathom how anyone I know wouldn’t get it.
This man is going to BLOW up! If he's capable of writing all of these masterpieces he's got nowhere to go but up.
I needed to shed these tears. Thanks Jesse.
Now for something completely different and totally exceptional we present to you another tune from Jesse the Well is deep. 🙋🏻♀️🤗🐈👍🎈
Jesse Thewellisdeep!!! Love That!
Very Welles said.

I also really like poor
As a full-time car camper I love this extra
68 videos so far. They are all great but the studio versions are unbelievable good .He adds more everyday
Oh shit! Did finally do it?!
I am addicted to this song

My biggest criticism of modern music is that there is nothing new and original. So refreshing what you are doing. Thank you
Damn Jesse...how did we ever get so lucky? - the genius of Dylan... with a voice!!
really nice song... beautiful!
Oh god, thank you as always. Please please keep doing what you're doing.
thanks again Jesse. I look forward to every new song you make. you are a cure for the sadness that won't let me be in this shit town world. really little brother, you give me hope. seriously, thank you thank you
I just like him...pretty much got him on repeat...so nice to have a really good songwriter that sounds likes he means every word
He's not a household name because of radio play, that I know of, and he's not selling out stadiums, and he is like the grass growing in a field.
My son is six and a half and wants you to know your music is the best. ❤
Jesse, I know you hear the John Prine comments, but “oh boy”😊 you have filled a void in my heart that I thought couldn’t be filled since John passed. I like this guy a lot.
Absolutely beautiful
Sounds like a classic I’ve known my whole life
I find on utterly charming how southern accents (like mine and Jesse's) make *Wheel* and *we'll* sound like homophones.
Love the music man, keep it up. You got it
Another great song, love the vibrato in your vocal this time.
The gift that keeps on giving, buddy I'm just waiting until you give me the option to give back. You're my MVP this year for sure, got me through a hard time brother.
Thank you ❤🤘
Our generations Bob Dylan!
That’s what I keep thinking. Poetic!
Your songs are raw, rough, and genuine. You're keeping it real, brother!
A talent that comes along only once in a generation.
This is definitely my new favorite
I'll never hesitate to click on a new Welles song. I hope you achieve great success. As a Afghan war vet that feels many things when someone thanks me for my service, War isn't Murder is my favorite. "Let's talk about deeeaaad people." 👍Perfectly blunt
Right on man, that's a hell of a song! Classic fav, there for sure! True grip!
Great song. I've been looking and waiting for years for a singer songwriter like this to follow. Keep it up mate. I hope your making good money out of it.
What the hell?!? You are so amazing and talented it blows my mind!!!
fuuuuck another thoughtful banger of a tune. just keep going man. stay in your bag
Absolutely incredible. Such a gift to this world man.
I love everything i’ve heard you sing..a modern folk singer
You're a national treasure Jesse.
Oh wow, just soaking this one in, it’s giving me the feels..!
I'm 61 and this song hits home with me.
This popped up in my feed and said uploaded 5 seconds ago. Fastest click. Love the guitar in particular on this one.
can't stop listening. Awesome song. Thank you
I've only listened to this guy for a day. There's enough here to keep me satisfied for a year. It's an overwhelming amount of incredible songwriting. If you ever come to Texas, I'd love to hear you.
Your best song yet Jesse wow. When you do release an album make sure this is on it, so soothing and mystical.
Thank You Jesse!
You can never understand what your music means to me.
🙏
Love your music, Jesse! Keep spinning and turning out those beautiful tunes!
Waaaay better than Dylan. So much heart in this young man.
Im feeling pretty bummed out laying here alone in some shitty hotel bed on the wrong side of the country. Missing my wife and my kids. Just found your music, and it's making me feel a little better. Thanks for what you're doing, brother. Keep it up. It's great.
Well, well, Mr. Welles. You done done it again. Thanks for another one.
Another great song! Good stuff!
30 years ago, a scientist crossed DNA from bob Dylan, Jim Morrison, and a random hillbilly
With a little bit of John Fogerty
You are one hell of gift Jesse
You really hit gold with this one, man. Loved it.
