This tutorial is a great place to start if you are wanting to learn some basics in wire weaving as well as setting a flat-back cabochon.
Materials You'll Need:
20 Gauge Square (or Round) Wire - Cut into (x3) 9" pieces.
21 Gauge Half-Round Wire - Cut (x1) 3" piece.
28 Gauge Round Weaving Wire
(x1) 18x13mm Oval Cabochon
(x1) 3mm Copper Bead (or any other 3mm bead, like crystal for example).
(x1) 5-6mm Jump Ring
Tools You'll Need:
Chain Nose Pliers
Round Nose Pliers
Flush Cutters
Nylon Pliers (Optional) - Great to have if you're using a coated wire.

The tool is a pin vice. Great tutorial. But....I really love your videos that do not have music in the background. Your voice is actually very nice without the music❤

Absolutely! Just measure the circumference of the stone and add about 8-10 inches to that measurement. Happy wrapping! ♥

How do you scale this up for a bigger stone?
Hi there! I usually measure the distance around the stone and then multiply that number by 3 or 4 for the amount of length that I need for my base wires. Hope that helps! ❤️

Hi, do you have a trick to shine them after you finish the design? When i try to do this, the wire is getting damage because of the tools which i used and it doesn't look good. How can i cover them? Thank you so much
I have a dremel rotary tool that I use with various grits. I'm assuming you're using copper? I also have sand paper on hand to help buff out any tool marks. Usually I use 600 grit, then 1000 grit and then 2500 or 3000 grit. Afterward, I shine it up with a Sunshine polishing cloth. Then it looks like new! Hope that helps!

Sure thing! This is an older tutorial, so it is a little longer than the others. Most videos are 30 minutes or less, now. :)
I really like this pendant but I have a comment about the music it was a little to loud it was distracting from your talking
Thanks for the comment! I've had a couple others say the same thing. Unfortunately, I can't really adjust this video, but I have been making videos without the music so that it's not so distracting.
Suggest you lower the volume of the music. It is in competition with the speaker.
I would if I could. Once a video is uploaded, I can't adjust the volume. I have considered redoing the video and reuploading sometime in the future.
It would be more effective to film your work on a white background so that we can see better, because the wood-colored background makes it difficult to see well.
I recently bought some white poster board and thought I would use it as a background. 😊 Thanks for the suggestion!

Lovely piece and informative tutorial, but can’t stand the music in the background. Too loud and distracting, and no way to turn it off.

Music bed is too loud and distracting, It's a great choice but is kind of obtrusive,
I am sorry about that! This is an earlier video of mine and I can’t edit it once it’s on YT. (Though, I may redo it someday). I have lowered the volume in my recent videos in the hopes of reducing any distractions. 💕

You seem like you have great technique for creating a tutorial. I just can’t handle the music. It beyond annoying. I turned it off after 4 minutes. I was really bummed, because I wanted to see how you did the weaving.

The music actually makes it impossible to concentrate on what you are doing, its too loud, too busy all around annoying. I really wanted to watch your tutorial but your choice music ruined it., if you'd like to do it again minus the music I'll subscribe.
I understand the frustration. That’s why my later videos have a better balanced sound level. I may do this tutorial again in the future and update it since it is one of my earliest videos. Until then, there’s not much I can do.
