      I'm glad that they are helpful! I do try to keep pacing in mind when I make videos because I have a tendency to speed up when I'm nervous. LOL

    I got halfway through just to find that I’d started weaving at the beginning and not the middle :( Restarting bc I know this will be a gorgeous ring!

    How far down the wire do you start the weave. Also, is 26 gauge wire acceptable as a substitute for 28 gauge

    • @ellieshandcrafted
      @ellieshandcrafted  Год назад

      About 4" down from the start of the base wires. Absolutely! 26 gauge can definitely be used. :)

    Very Nice!!! Gunna try right now!! However, Do you start the weave in the middle ones chosen the wire?

    • @ellieshandcrafted
      @ellieshandcrafted  Год назад +1

      I think I forgot to say, didn't I? Sorry about that! I started about 4" down the wire and then woven the lashing weave until it was 3.5" long. Hope that helps!

      @johnnyriner5337 4 месяца назад

      @@ellieshandcrafted if you start 4 inches down, weave for 3.5 inches, how long is the wire to begin with? surely more than 6 inches

    • @ellieshandcrafted
      @ellieshandcrafted  4 месяца назад +1

      @@johnnyriner5337 Hmm... Not sure where my mind was then, but I think I meant 4" down from the right side? So that would actually be 2" from the end? Now, I would say the easiest way to do it is to mark the center of your base wire, determine the center of 3.5 inches and mark either side from that center mark so that you weave the 3.5" of lashing weave in the center portion of the wire. And the total length of the base wires will depend on the size of ring you're making as well, so I would say measure the ring size, then add at least 4" to that measurement. I hope that makes sense... lol
