This is a great basic design that, like you said, is great for beginners! I also like that you use the method to snap off the 28g wire when you've finished using it vs snipping it. Thank you! ❤

Yay! I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I love that method! Makes it so much easier for me to make sure those ends don’t stick out too much. 🥰

Do you have any recommendations for padded clamp for weaving?? My fingers start to get real cramped 😅😅😅 maybe I'll ask for one for Christmas 🎉🎉🎉😂

I don't know of a padded clamp, but the one I use is a rubber tipped spring clamp from the hardware store. It has saved my hands, big time!

I'm going to go buy wire to try this beautiful design, but I have a question please:
    - you mentioned "this part would be easier with square wire", and then in the next sentence said "Square wire isn't the easiest to work with". So I'm confused. Should I buy square or round?
    Thanks for a MAGNIFICENT tutorial!!❤️

Square wire isn't the easiest to work with for a beginner because it likes to twist on you, and then you have twisted wire rather than square... (lol). But, when it comes to keeping the woven and wrapped wires next to each other, square tends to be easier because, unlike round wire, it doesn't like to spin around as much once wrapped together. So, if you prefer wrapping over weaving, then I would recommend using square and half-round and get used to working with those shapes. Otherwise, I highly recommend round if you're wanting to learn more about weaving. I hope that this makes sense and I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial!

Very nice but not for beginners, you are going to fast I can't tell which wire you are waving through. I get that you can't do the whole video slow but the initial wave pattern should be done slowly, then go fast for the repeat. I do like the pull and twist method, brilliant!

Puedes poner el vídeo más lento

    • @ellieshandcrafted

I do try to slow it down, but if you're having a hard time following at that speed I recommend clicking the little gear on the video and then slowing the video down by at least 25% to see if that helps. I will be more mindful of that in future videos. Thanks!

Wow, I don't think this is a beginners' tutorial. Well done, though.
