Thanks for this video. I've been looking for a gimbal for the a6700 including a small rig cage for a long time. According to DJI's website, the camera is not on the compatibility list. But it seems to work after all. Now all you need is a solution so that you can do without the Arca Swiss plate. But Smallrig has the 4195 clamp. Greethings from Germany

Cool video. I just got the a6700 and I'm considering this gimble. Btw, what's the purpose of that rig cage on the camera? Aside from the prime lenses from sigma i picked up, i got the sony kit lens with power zoom, you think the dji controls would work to zoom?
Thanks for your comment and feedback. Much appreciated. Cage is more for protection and adding mounting points. I like having them for protection against bumps. Also I mount my mics or monitor on the cage. I also have 16-50 kit lens but never have it on camera therefore didn't test the zoom functionality. It is a very good question and if it works, it will be a big WIN.

Interesting that you can use bluetooth to connect to the camera. I tried to do that too because cable connection didn't work. I switched on BT at the camera and then I tried to find the gimbel which was ON. I don't see it and/or I don't know how to do it 😮💨. I hope you can give me advice how to set up this connection. That would be very appreciated.😀

Enabling Bluetooth in camera setting is first step which seems you have done. The second step is to turn on Bluetooth Remote Control (Bluetooth Rmt Ctrl) which is under Bluetooth settings in Sony A6700 camera. That’s what I did to make record button working.

Hi, I actually could connect my A6700 to my RS3 Mini and was able to use record button to toggle recording on the camera. I believe Brandon had used same trick but has mapped recording to Manual focus and Autofocus. I have not tried it myself but I am curious to see if it works or not. I may give it a shot and if it works, I'll report back here.

Could u test if the buttons like the dial works with the a6700 camera? A6700 it's not included in the compatibility list of Rs3 mini
Hi, I have tested buttons and the dial couple of times already. Record button works fine but I could not make dial working.

Hi. I believe you can. Anything below 2KG is fine and this Gimbal can handle it.

Does the a6700 connect via Bluetooth to use the record button? Also can you use the front dial to zoom the lens?
I am using Bluetooth to trigger recording (start/stop) and it works flawlessly. Regarding zoom I have not tried it as I don’t have power zoom lenses.

Hi. Have you turned on Bluetooth Remote Control? It is under Bluetooth settings. I had to turn it on to make recording button to work properly.

You can zoom with the gimbal but you can not change the aperture

I have the crane m3 and I am disappointed with the performance
I had crane M3 as well and I wasn’t happy with it. That’s why I picked up DJI RS3 Mini. Much better in my opinion.
