I followed the instructions and the camera is balanced when I walk around and turn a corner for instance the camera stays turned in the direction I was turning. So now I can't see the screen as the camera is pointing at the 9-10 o'clock position. What am I doing wrong?!!!
Just picked this up as my first gimbal. Pretty excited about the stability + small features. Thanks for the little selfie trick there at the end, pretty nice to know.
Just purchased the DJI Ronin RS3 Mini and after watching lots of videos... and much frustration I found your video. It was a game changer. thank you so much! detailed, clear and easy to follow.
Thank you so much, your instructions were step by step and super clear! I tried to learn how to balance this gimbal with the video that DJI provided, it was ambiguous and very difficult to understand. A definite lifesaver, much appreciated!
I am an amateur who got an RS3mini stabilizer and use it with Sony a 6700. This is a very good tutorial, very accurate and clear as you explain it clearly for understanding. I had used a Ronin S before, but your video helped a lot in stabilizing the RS3 mini! Thank you.👌
Thank you Colin, best tutorial I've seen on this gimbal. Very informative and to the point... was having some struggles as I'm not the best gimbal balancer!
Thank you sir I have watched many videos on youtube but I could not find this setting ISO Aperture and Focusic I understood perfectly from your video because even after connecting the cable this setting was not on but after watching your video I realized everything Thanks again
Thanks so much! I had the original Ronin-S and thought I'd be able to set it up rather easily, but found it to be pretty difficult out of the box. Your video helped make this process much easier!
This video was very very helpful, thank you so much! The explanations were clear and easy to follow! I'm a bit sad that my Fujifilm X-T3 is not supported wirelessly but I still really love the quality and size of this gimbal. Thanks again!
Awesome instruction, so much better than the manufacture instructional videos. Great for a beginner like me. Appreciate the time you took to make this video. Great tutorial!!
This was a spectacular tutorial. Very helpful and intuitive. The easy and viewer-friendly walkthrough is one of the best for something that could appear intimidating. Greatly appreciated this. Now I just need to find a compatible HDMI cord for the Canon EOS 90D camera and I am set. Great video overall.
Another great job as usual, I just hit subscribed because you do great tutorials, well explained and demonstrated at the right speed THANK-YOU. My new Mini (me) is now complete.
Thank you for this video! Super informative. I have been trying to figure out how to get cable control on my Sony and missed the RSS USB C port for hours 😅😂. Great video! Cheers.
Ive watched maybe 10 different videos trying to balance my camera. None has worked, lens or not, it NEVER balances. IDK what im doing wrong or who to even reach out to.
Also! Keep in mind the position of the mounting plate attached to the camera. I found when i adjusted it slightly forwards/ backwards (where it locks onto the gimbal), it was enough to get the camera to balance.
Are you able to slide the pan and roll sliders past the 4 cm mark? I just got a unit but looks like it only slides from 0 to 4cm even though the ruler marks reaches 5cm
Thank you for this video it's quite informative but there is one problem that I have and I'm hoping you can give me some help with. Own in Nikon Z 50 camera and I'm having trouble connecting it via Bluetooth clear what advice do you have for me? I have contacted both Nikon and DJI and none of them are giving me any definitive answers they both say that you have to speak to the other company to get answers
Question. My room axis balance which is the second one you do here. I can get it pretty level, but if I attempt to tilt the camera at all it always bounces back to center weather I tilt if left or right. Is that normal? Or should it hold that position I tilt it to? Wondering if somethings wrong with my gimbal or if this is normal. Only does this on the roll axis. The second one you adjusted.
Hopefully you'll see this- I am having an issue with mine when I go to balance it. It looks like everything works fine until I try to tip the gimbal to the right or left then the tilt arm starts scraping against the pan arm. I am not sure if my camera is too heavy for this (I have the a7sii with a standard mid range zoom) but it seems like I can only get this balanced by having the various arms at the lowest possible setting. Any idea what I may be doing wrong??
Never saw so clear presentation on youtube. I have the Carne M3 but when i remove the camera from the gimble i cant attached the camera to a tripod sice the plate has no option to do so. if i remove the plate i need to re-balace. Does the rs3 mini plate solve this issue?
Great video. Unfortunately, I think I am going to return my RS3 Mini. The Sony alpha 7RV seems to push the limits weight wise. The camera kept loosening from the plate despite turning the nut as tight as I could without stripping it.
I've found with mine that the focus using the control wheel with the a7s iii and the cable attached to the rs3 mini to be not smooth at all, which renders it unusable. Any setting I'm missing? I've played with dial speed and smoothness but nothing seems to help
is it just me or is the camera only stable set when all the 3 axises are at their maximum, the rod is almost going to fall when secured... very odd... and my camera is a7c compact with a relatively compact tamron 28 200... what's your set up if the rods are not all the way tightened at the end?
I use an a7III. PC remote is greyed out, but it IS ON. In video section 14:31 you say set"PC REMOTE CONTROL METHOD, to USB. I do not have that menu option anywhere ?
1st thanks for your nice and amazing videos.. I am using my setup for dental shooting , but I want to dive through vediography , want to do artistic dental vediography. . So I want to ask if the dji 3 mini will handle my setup . That's my current setup , Canon eosR with Canon macro lens 100mm RF . Also, I want to ask if can I fix led light on the cam. Or the gimbal while vediography . I will be mainly shooting faces , smiles & and teeth, so I need very sharp results & want to get all the fine details of the teeth , And sure, i want to shoot with 4K, but it's extremely difficult because of the crop broblem , i was thinking about 14 - 35 RF , or the 24 - 70 RF .. SO what do u recommend & if there is a better option. Regading light, i had a pair of the Godox M1 RGB Mini , but I don't know how will it be the result yet .. what do you think ?? And how can I fix the light on the dji mini rs3 Sorry for the long question. Thanks & best regards
I was hoping that you would try to balance the second larger lens that you have on your desk .... but this second lens remains untouched ... probably because it cannot be balanced on the RS3 Mini?

This gimbal can’t balance for shit
Just purchased the DJI Ronin RS3 Mini and after watching lots of videos... and much frustration I found your video. It was a game changer. thank you so much! detailed, clear and easy to follow.
Excellent! tutorial much more comprehensive than the DJI tutorials well done!!👏
You singlehandedly helped me learn vertical setup. I appreciate you.
This is the best gimbal balancing video… ever! After 5 years of fighting to balance my gimbal, now it all makessense. Thank you.
DJI should pay this man handsomely.
Thank you so much, your instructions were step by step and super clear! I tried to learn how to balance this gimbal with the video that DJI provided, it was ambiguous and very difficult to understand. A definite lifesaver, much appreciated!

Im so glad it's compatible with my Sony A7S III. It will be my first gimbal.
This video should be linked by DJI as their official explanation video for us dummies 🙂 Great job mate!
Thank you sir I have watched many videos on youtube but I could not find this setting ISO Aperture and Focusic I understood perfectly from your video because even after connecting the cable this setting was not on but after watching your video I realized everything Thanks again
You are most welcome
I thought my gimbal was broken until I watch this video. Thanks!
I know not everyone is a fan of vertical shooting, but like it or not, certain contents now call for it and it's good to have this convenient option.
This was EXACTLY what I needed to see! Thank you for the awesome tutorial and help!
Great and simple instructions. The manufacturer over complicated the balancing part and I had second guessed myself.
You're the best "user-manual" there is!!!! Take care and thank you (I own the RS3 Pro, but this might be an interesting "extra" gimbal...)
Thx
this is more easier to understand how to set up DJI RS3 mini, for beginner like me its super easy and direct.
Impressed by all these features, possible in a mini gimbal
Fantastic tutorial! So clear and direct! Thank you
This is the most clear explanation Out there, thanks for creating this! ⭐️
Calibration can be tricky the first time or two, but if you follow this video and do it a few times, you can't go wrong.
Just got this gimbal, and really appreciate your instructions. Thank you.
Your tip for turning Bluetooth off so the dial works to control ISO helped for my Canon R5 too. Thanks!
thanks I just bought this gimbal, this was the perfect video to help me get started!
Glad I could help!

Thank you for this video! Super informative. I have been trying to figure out how to get cable control on my Sony and missed the RSS USB C port for hours 😅😂. Great video! Cheers.
Thanks for this, great tutorial, very helpful
Thank you so much for your instructions!! Do you know how can I take pictures by clicking the red bottom not just recording videos?
Perfect tutorial, thanks!
Do you think a sony fe 24-105mm lens will be too heavy for this gimbal? I really want to buy it but am unsure due to my lens...
Ive watched maybe 10 different videos trying to balance my camera. None has worked, lens or not, it NEVER balances. IDK what im doing wrong or who to even reach out to.
Same!! But I think mine resolved now, though. Actually!
@@TheMaan2008I had the same trouble but realised you have to lock the other axis’s and balance them in turn one at a time
Also! Keep in mind the position of the mounting plate attached to the camera. I found when i adjusted it slightly forwards/ backwards (where it locks onto the gimbal), it was enough to get the camera to balance.
Same I’m about to send this shit back
@@CapturedxCade you have to balance each axis one at a time locking the others as you go then it will work😌
This is good stuff! Just unboxed my new mini and getting ready to give it a go.
congrats
@@photoshopcafe I have a Crane M3 to sell...
perfect tutorial. thanks for the video!
Great work! Thank you for your detailed tour
Glad it was helpful!
Really helpful! Thanks so much!!
Thank you for making this video 🎉
Wish I would have Found ur video yesterday struggled the dji’s setup vid 😅
Sorry, I only got my video up today
Are you able to slide the pan and roll sliders past the 4 cm mark? I just got a unit but looks like it only slides from 0 to 4cm even though the ruler marks reaches 5cm
Is a very good video, another tutorial for the Sony a6000, would be cool, i am from Germany. 😉
Great video. Thanks mate

I constantly refer to this video because I can't seem to memorize how to switch between tall and horizontal no matter how hard I try to remember!
Lol, you’re not the only one :) this video will still be here
Great video. But none of the Bluetooth functions worked with my A6400
Thank you! Very helpful
you made me realize that i was not plugging the cable right and thats why it wasn't working. I thought my sony a6000 was too old for this gimbal
