    Pickup the Ronin RS3 Mini here 👉geni.us/RS3mini
    Could you get away with using a smaller more compact gimbal or do you need the big boy fully rigged out??

    Thanks for the video. I just ordered the Mini and the smallrig base plate, extended arm and sling handle. I'm anxious to see how it can handle my a7IV with cage and Sigma 24-70 2.8 mk1 with VND. That combo will be quite near the payload limit of the Mini, but I'm hoping the Smallrig accessories will help enough with the balancing.

      @@muhammadsultanalif4622 It works, but it's really pushing the limits of RS3 Mini and there are some clearance issues.
      For now I'm using it with Tamron 17-28 and some day I'll probably get the Sigma 28-70 which weights about the same as the Tamron 17-28.
      So I would say; if your main goal is to use the gimbal with 24-70 2.8, get the bigger RS3.

    • @chadwin
      @chadwin  День назад

      Sorry, just getting to this comment now! Yeah, it's definitely pushing the limits of the Mini when using the 24-70. but i have been doing it, just without a cage or any other accessories besides a screw on VND.
      So how's it been working for you? I have been considering getting the larger RS4.

    I often run a little bit more heavy than u with the RS3 mini. My advice for that is a Smallrig Shoulder-strap and a Sling handgrip. Work fine for me for about 6-8 hours countinuos shooting.I use R7 with Canon 24-70 2.8 and 50 1.2 L lenes and pretty much your same loadout.
    Edit: Dont put the Focus motors on it.

Would the mini work well for this you think? Could it handle the dimensions of the Quest? (which are a bit bigger than a typical camera)
