For all your run and gun videographers. I went to europe for 5 weeks where I used the zhiyun weebil S - it didnt have the automatic rebalancing like the RS3, it also didnt have wireless connection. These 2 things are absolute GAME CHANGERS. You do not have a lot of time on trips to be constantly replugging cables or rebalancing. I was at Palace of Versaille and the security person approached me because I was just rebalancing my gimbal!! He thought I was up to no good. GET the RS3 if you can!!! The self balancing is 100% worth it and will save you so much time.
Thanks, Jeven. What timing...I was just about to pull the trigger on the RS 3. But the hesitation was the price. The 3 Mini is perfect for me! I appreciate the in-depth comparisons.
I think that this is the best overview of the RS 3 series. It was very helpful in deciding to go with the Mini, which I'll be using primarily with a Beastgrip cage and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
@@VIZIONONE definitely not a 70-200. You can try but my guess is that the motors would wear out pretty quick that way. Your best bet if you’re gonna do that is to buy a RS3 or an RS3 Pro (to be on the safe side). Hope that helps
Not being able to fold the Mini flat while remaining balanced is a bummer, and reduces its attraction as a travel gimbal. It's when I'm travelling that I need to set it up fast, but that's also when I need it to be compact.
The RS3 is still a good travel gimbal that can remain balanced. I just took it to India and the size was not a problem at all. Also having 2 batteries is super helpful
Great video! Quick question: Between the RS3 and RS3 Mini, which one is easier to put into a backpack? Since the RS3 can be broken down and has a removeable battery, is it easier to stash it in a smaller backpack than the Mini? Also, is there a difference in stabalization between the 2 since the RS 3 is bigger?
Yes but really ask yourself if you nneeeeeeeddddd auto focus on your cinema lenses. Or could you just use the follow focus? Because it's very expensive and to use the lidar without the the gimbal you need an extra thingy. It's not the most elegant solution. But if you genuinely want it, then yes definitely get the pro.
