too much water can be toxic. some essential oils are beneficial in proper quantities and some are irritating. if you say its chemical free then all you are doing is showing us you are completely uneducated as everything in products are chemicals. water, salt, etc ARE CHEMICALS. you want to avoid harsh, irritating or otherwise harmful chemicals and use good healthy healing etc chemicals.

I would also suggest that people look for a local soap maker in their area. I make sheep milk soap that is very nice and moisturizing. I would recommend staying away from citrus based essential oils because they strip oils from the body. Local soap makers also sometimes offer lotions/lotion bars that are better for sensitive skin, and can customize things when needed.

I make my own liquid and bar Castille soap
I make my own shea butter/castor oil soap.
I also make my own plain tallow soap for one of my daughters.
I am currently in the research phase of making my own sulfur soap.
I also make Castille & Himalayan sea salt soap.
    Goatmilk & Tallow soap.
    Pine tar & tallow soap.
i don't use any dyes and only sometimes use essential oils.
Everything in our house is made by me from our laundry soap to our dish washing bar soap to the lotion and deodorants.
I have MCAS & am allergic to most things. I need a way to control what was going on my body & once I realized Dr. Bronner's wasn't actually Castille soap I decided I needed to make my own.
Castille soap is made from 100% olive oil. But Dr. Bronner's uses coconut oil in their recipe, making that a Bastille soap. They also use other things. I just felt like if they would like to me about the type of soap they actually make, then they can lie about anything else.

I make soap as a hobby but i have a lot of customers with skin problems that use my activated charcoal soap. I have about 20 different types of soap i make but my basic recipe is the same. 2/3 olive oil to 1/3 coconut oil. I add all kinds of ingredients like orange zest, all the different cosmetic clays, activated charcoal, coconut flour, oatmeal, and tons more. I started making soap about 20 years ago when i read the ingredients on the soap i was using. Which i thought was good. It had like 50 ingredients and many have been known to cause cancer. I did a ton of research and found healthy alternatives to add to basic real soap. Real soap is so much better than the cancer causing garbage you get in the stores. More people need to learn how to make it. Its easy and fun.

I used to use anything that I could and eventually started using soaps like dr squatch, duke cannon, every man jack…and was totally fine, but starting last year every single bar soap started giving my skin bad reactions. Literally, like overnight, I turned 35 and suddenly my skin couldn’t handle bars soaps. I don’t really like body wash and eventually finally discovered African black soap for eczema and it’s been working wonders for me. It is the only soap I will (can) use now.

  • @mtngrammy6953

I purchased African Black Soap (I love it) when I had a bad case of Eczema years ago. I went on a carnivore diet and did tapping, which was very instrumental in healing it quickly. This year I had a very stressful year and my diet totally changed to grabbing whatever I had in the house. Christmas time was very bad since my family was here and wanted to bake all our old wonderful German & Swedish cookies and breads. So I over indulged. The eczema came back and has been raging ever since, then spread to my face (eyes, mouth, cheeks, neck) which became very swollen, so I look like you do when you put a nylon stocking over your face (sort of Mongoloid with no definition of the eyes and very tight skin). My question is HOW DO YOU TELL IF IT IS ECZEMA OR ROSACEA ON THE FACE? I've changed my diet but still to early to see any changes in the swelling and inflammation especially in my face. Great video, thanks! Living at high altitude in Colorado, I have very dry skin. I will try the Nose to Tail soap.

In the mornings I like to use the cerave SA face wash especially in the summer for exfoiliating. Then I use Other mornings I use foam facial cleanser. Then after that I always put a sunscreen on I recommend cerave ultra light moisturizing lotion spf30. At night use a foam cleansing wash like the acne foam cream cleanser with benzoyl peroxide to kill bacteria. Then let face dry and use the differin gel for acne(adapalene). It is a retinol. Then moisturize with cerave moisturizing lotion PM. In between can use bha and aha but always use sunscreen before going in sun because retinol and aha bha make skin sensitive to sun. My skin has changed completely. Also there is a retinol call cerave resurfacing retinol serum and it contains licorice root which helps lighten dark spots. I use that sometimes when I accidentally bust a bump on my face and I leave a big black scar 😣 but that is all.

Nablus leaves my skin feeling hydrated and smooth. I was skeptical about it but I have bad skin through genetics and after the 1st use I could tell the difference from my Irish spring soap. Leaves no smell behind. Definitely try it. Yes you do have to work it harder. I have dermatitis behind my ears...

Do you think Dr Bronners has too high of a PH level, though? I think skin PH is around 5.5 and Dr Bronners soap is around 7-8 PH. My skin has been extremely dry despite the fact its not winter yet and I moisturize right out of the shower

I go by the golden rule... what are the results?? for me, my skin has been eczema / psoriasis free for over a decade. Ive used bronners almost daily during this time. I also use Dead Sea warehouse skin polish daily on my face and scalp. My skin each year looks better and better. Almost 44 years old and my skin health is better than when I was 15. So, it for sure works for me. It works well for many of my clients. Will it work well for you??? I couldn't tell you. Only you can find that out by testing, being honest with your results, then iterating appropriately!

@@RobStuart very true. I think I should switch back to dove soap for sensitive skin for 2 months to experiment if it improves my skin. It's been dry and I got more back/shoulder acne than usual since switching to Dr Bronners. I initially just used diluted unscented liquid as a body wash but after that I tried a Dr Bronners citrus bar soap. I could always switch back to Dr Bronners in 2 months if the Dove soap doesn't show skin improvement

If Dr. Bronner's was genuine Castile (made with just olive oil), I would use it. But it isn't. Like most soaps marketed as "pure Castile" aren't Castile at all, but are blends of cheaper oils (just like all other soaps) to cut costs. Looking at the ingredients, the main oil base for Dr. Bronner's products is coconut oil, and I can't use coconut oil based soaps (I actually discovered this when using Dr. Bronner's years ago). They dry out, chap, and irritate my skin like crazy (though coconut oil itself does not).
The best "vegetable oil" fat to use for a soap is just straight up olive oil; no cheap blends, no adulterations. But the overall best fat for the best soap is just plain beef tallow. Period. It is pure magic for the skin.
