    I believe eczema flare up for different reasons for different people. For me food isnt an issue but temperature and excess dryness is what break for me.

      Same. Especially during summer.

      When you eat foods that nurture your Yin there will be no dryness, and when you avoid foods that cause dryness that will also help. If you are cold, more warming food will help and if you hot more cooling food will help.

      @johnbishop9000 6 месяцев назад +3

      @momotaroreincarnatednthtim6303 the summer heat is counteracted by eating more cooling foods.

      Are you sure that you are not eating hot yang foods that are exhausting your yin? Always have some yin foods with hot yang foods to nurture the yin and not exhaust the yin, all things in balance.

    I have eczema since birth. What helped me the most is the following:
    For flare ups : Eucerin Eczema Relief Flare Up Treatment
    For regular moisturizer for hands: Eucerin Eczema Relief Cream
    For facial moisturizer : First Aid Beauty/FAB Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer
    I do not knit. I do not wear any sweaters or wear anything knitted. It is the texture of anything knitted that irritates my skin. I take utmost care I am not exposed to too much sweat. It is sweat in elbows and knees that irritate the skin to a rash. I do not expose my hands to detergent or harsh chemicals of any kind. If I have to wash dishes, I have to wear gloves. If I have to wash my hair, I do not touch shampoo or conditioner with my hands. I wear gloves and lean over the sink to wash my hair.
    I drink lots and lots of water. I am 99.99% eczema free due to the consistent care I do for my skin. It was not easy. Over the years, I have had bad bouts of eczema. I did not know better years ago. For example, I started to knit a scarf. I stopped knitting. My skin cracked and bled. I used an inferior moisturizer on my hands. My skin cracked and bled. That was before I was recommended Eucerin.
    Final note: I eat whatever I want. And remain 99.99% eczema free. But, that's me. Could be different for others.

    I have been suffering from eczema for the past 40 years of my life.
    The past 18 years have been the worst , as i have now developed psoriasis.
    During my whole life, i tried not to eat this or that - it has been a complete waste of time for me
    Then i discovered intermittent fasting about jul 22 ,
    i had a go ....
    and i was surprised to see that this greatly helps to reduce my itch and the flare ups i used to get.

      @@inmortal009 there is no hard and fast rule that applies. What i did is to skip breakfast , so that i would have my first meal not before 14 hours from last night meal.
      With such empty stomach , i would drink some plain water. Also avoid food that you suspect is a trigger to eczema.
      So i repeated that process (skipping breakfast) for 5 days in a row and i find that by giving my stomach some rest , my eczema also subsides.

      Those lymph nodes are protecting other parts of the body. Take a glass of water put a few cucumber slices, little dashed ginger and 2 lemon slices, few mint leaves optional. After an hour of making this, drink the water. Again fill the glass with more water and drink after an hour. Then thròw all the cucumber slices.....out. Do it for 3 days in a week and the infection will subside. Have sweet fruits, oats, sorghum flour, certain types of fish, green gram. Castor oil àpplication helps ŕeduce itching. Honey application too helps. Avoid meats, dairy and gluten...

      Excema is caused by various factors - to say it’s usually caused by adrenal dysfunction is absolute bollox

    • @NicolesNaturals
      @NicolesNaturals Год назад +5

      @@Withcare111 Those "various factors" you speak of are usually attributed to the function of the adrenals, for example allergies. Eczema is actually a form of dermatitis (inflammation of the skin). Chronic inflammation is a sign of adrenal dysfunction as the adrenals produce the body's anti-inflammatory corticosteroids. Allergies occur from weakened adrenal glands, which reduce the level of immune modulating corticosteroids and antihistamine epinephrine, which counters allergic reactions. Eczema can also be related to liver function as well, so that is important to address. When we are exposed to an allergen such as a pollen our adrenal glands should secrete antihistamine and anti-leukotriene epinephrine and immune modulating and anti-inflammatory corticosteroids. This is why the standard meds for the treatment of allergies and asthma are epinephrine, or some mimic as well as corticosteroids. Both epinephrine and the body's corticosteroids are produced by the adrenals. Please tell me what "various factors" you think it's caused by that aren't connected to the adrenals or liver function, then we can have a conversation.

      If you can you should bring her to a skin doctor or at least check out what is she allergic with. Or keep a notebook to write down stuff she has eaten and had reactions ... also test on the inner arms before using a new skin product. Some OTC cream from pharmacies are specialized for eczema like Avene. Herbal cream for eczema could be helpful, but best test it out in case some ingredients might not agreed with her skin.

    Best food to eat for removing damp heat and clearing up skin problems, are Coix-Chinese Barley-Job's Tears, no more than 1/2 cup dry weight or less per meal, preferably cooked over night in slow cooker, 1 cup to 7 cups water is enough for 3 meals, this will clear boils on the skin, hence the name Job's Tears after the man called Job who was covered in boils from head to toes, also Red Aduki beans one or two table spoons is plenty, as well as Dark Leafy greens, Turnip roots and greens. Try it for a month and see the difference.

      DMSO is amazing!! There is a caution to use on clean skin only as it transports anything it come into contact with into your body with it :)

    Basically all the foods you mentioned are heart according to our Chinese culture. How about longans and coconut? They seem in same category as lychee mango and durian.
