As an adult who relapsed with eczema/Atopic Dermatitis (which I had as a child but without it for decades, relapsed) and got better quickly recently-basically eczema is an energy overflow issue with vitamin b complex deficiency. It’s not allergy but AD people are not good at generating protein on skin. In my experience it got pretty much cured with lower fat (but take 20-30 mg omega 3, 6, vitamin A, zinc, iodine, vitamin b6, 1, 12 , 2, zero need for veganism), moderate protein, carbs are fine but if you eat too much sugar too fast your metabolism speeds up too much and your cell runs out of vitamin b and fat, protein, causing those itchy dry patches. Kids get AD often because their bodies are small and eating too much cause metabolic issue. Adults now get eczema because we eat a lot these days. They know all this vitamin b deficiency with high metabolism caused AD in mouse studies. This explains why both healthy low fat vegan (= lower energy intake as food tastes pretty crappy with fiber) and carnivore (=slower metabolism due to low carb) work for eczema as well as fasting. Smaller meals timed also help because our cells can’t take too much metabolizing in a short time.

Hi! I’m still dealing with eczema myself so I’m not fully healed but omw. I actually don’t think that drinking collagen alone is going to do a lot as eczema is not a skin problem but a symptom of an imbalance. Be careful of not getting an eating disorder as it s so easy to get. Try to remove processed foods - and get a diverse diet - you can try to remove dairy / eggs and try to get Whole Foods.

Hi Christina ! I need help I really hope you see this!! I have had eczema mostly all my life I'm a 14 year old female and my eczema has gotten better its not bad like when I was younger. When I was little my parents gave me a cream that actually gave me skin discoloration. that happened over time of me getting older. It helped my itching. But my skin isn't the same in these spots the discoloration and just the texture in general is off Its a big insecurity I have. My eczema is just on my hands and wrist a bit and then the creases of my arms and back of my elbows. I am going to try and change my diet to see if it helps but I just don't know what to do about my discoloration. Ive had my discoloration for awhile is there still any way for me to restore my skin??

Teba you’re absolutely right. I’ve had eczema since I was 20. Eczema is a stomach issue. I’m 44 now and have been eczema clear for 2 years.

Collagen is an animal product. I would take a vegan product. Vitamin C seems like a good idea
