📲 Our Pick Up Limes app is finally here (1-week free trial!): bit.ly/PUL_app 🎉 Skincare is a tricky beast. There are times when I’m stressed and my skin really starts to break out, and as I’m getting older I’m noticing wrinkles and fine lines start to form. It’s all normal and natural, and we each struggle at times with our skin in our own ways. Regardless of where we’re at, it helps to be kind to ourselves throughout our skin journey. In the video, we explore only one of the many pillars that impact our skin health: nutrition. It’s not the be-all-end-all solution to clear and glowing skin, but it can be a substantial contributor. We hope you enjoy it and learn some new things! 🤓
Thank you for this video! I am struggling with a bunch of skin issues, and they are all related to hormone imbalances. I keep hearing that there are diets that can improve mild cases of hormone imbalances... I checked your blog but I see that you have never written about it. Have you ever thought about tackling that topic?
WHY ARE YOU SUCH GOALS EVERYTHING? aesthetic goals, relationship goals, career goals, life goals, hair goals, beauty goals... like. You are so amazing! 🥰
I tried the one that they sell at Costco in the blue bottle and it gave me a massive headache. Migraine like type. I know because I rarely have headaches and when I stopped it they stopped. 😬
A study in the journal Clinical and Experimental Dermatology found that people who slept seven to nine hours a night had skin that was more moisturized and that could protect and heal itself better after being exposed to ultraviolet light compared to those who slept five hours or less.👌

you don't understand how grateful I am for this video!!! i have been struggling with small spots of eczema, recently it got worse. Years and years I have been getting topical corticosteroids from my doctor, which don't seem to work anymore. I know it could have to do with my diet but I couldn't find the right video yet. I just know this is the right place the right time, THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!! I can't wait to try all of your recipes 💖💖

@@thatveganmuslim I think they are talking about which foods to eat at different times during the whole menstrual _cycle_ , not just at the time you are menstruating.
Love this! ❤ Specially when you talked about glycemic index and the impact on sebum production. And check your vitamin B12! I'm now going to the third shot of B12 and recovering from a lot of problems I was having because of B12 insufficiency. I'm a 44 years old vegan woman, my doctor said I'll need to supplement B12 forever
True, problems from b12 deficiency are often overlooked. But be aware that the b12 shots can cause acne as a side effect. I haven't found a solution for that yet, have been on b12 shots for 11 years and need them for the rest of my life.
@@eendje45 Yes, I'm full of acne and even thought it was the maple sirup I ate the past days, but I'll have only 5 injections and then I'll have to go with pills so I hope it'll be better for my skin

I always learn so much from your videos! I would love to see a video about how to add nutritional value to simple meals like cereal, instant ramen, or frozen meals. As a full time student I have limited time and resources to make my own meals everyday but want to start somewhere!
Seeds and nuts - chuck em on everything 😉 If you can also add at least three colours to each meal, do that - berries, banana, apple; broccoli, carrot, red bell pepper; grated beetroot, grated carrot, grated cabbage...stuff like that!
i think you’ve just reaffirmed for me that my daily nutrition choices are on the right track! sometimes, even though i know working in healthcare that fruits, oats, wholegrains and even some of my veg choices are part of a balanced vegan diet, i can feel a little bit guilty or lost at times! (‘does this dish have a big enough veg portion today?’ ‘isn’t this too sweet?!’) but it’s nice to have that little external reminder that i at least have one pillar of my inner health covered! 😋

So heartwarming listening to you, Sadia! Thank you! We live in a world where a woman "should" undertake injections, Botox, and surgeries . Aging is shameful and women are criticised for that.
Thanks for another great video. There has been a huge surge of collagen supplements in Southeast Asia (and probably everywhere else in the world). I always doubt anything that promises a quick fix or sounds too good to be true, especially when it comes to health or beauty products. The biggest problem I have with collagen supplement is that in Asia, many TV celebrities are either advertising them or selling it themselves, but everyone knows fully well that these celebs get monthly botox, 'fillers', facelift, and spend thousands of dollars on medical cosmetic procedures to look the way they do (on top of photoshop and filters), yet they have the audacity to fool consumers that these collagen products can help an average person look like them... It's also weird that people are willing to spend so much money on skincare products without doing the simplest things first like getting enough quality sleep, drinking plenty of water, eating fresh food that boost general health like your video suggests, exercising, living more simply to minimise stress, and quitting smoking and excessive drinking.
I have hypothyroidism so my skin always breaks out on my cheeks and jaw. One of the biggest things you can do is limit refined carbs and high glycemic foods. Take zinc supplements and beef liver. Change your pillow case every week too.
That was lovely - i am trying to start a thinking-and-being-healthy journey 🙂and your videos are always so inspirational - Loads of love to you from India!

We live in a world where a woman "should" undertake injections, Botox, and surgeries . Aging is shameful and women are criticised for that.
I trust this woman so much
this channels a goddamn goldmine, its going to take me forever to go through all your content but i cant wait.
Love this content! Always evidence based, with great vibes - so easy to watch!
That was lovely - i am trying to start a thinking-and-being-healthy journey 🙂and your videos are always so inspirational - Loads of love to you from India!
