Ever since then I've been soaking my lentils and brown rice for a few hours and it's improved the taste and my digestion of them so much! I feel when they're soaked and drained they absorb the flavors of w/e broth I'm cooking them in and they don't taste mushy or muddy

And you are so right about the walking part! When I used to go to office, initially, I was not used a buffet with a variety of dishes and wanting to eat a little bit of all the varieties, often overate. But we often went walking, for about half an hour, and covered 2-3 kms in that time (right after lunch). I noticed that on the days i decided that I had a lot of work to catch up on and skipped the walking (and went into the AC rooms(ai mention AC because I think it has an adverse effect too!) I felt bloated and uncomfortable.
In another of your videos, you said that drinking a warm mug of anything will help one slow down and is useful when one is stressed. I tired it immediately and saw just how effective it was. And I usually just drink hot water and whenever I did this after lunch it totally helped with digestion too ❤️

Interesting. I got Covid about two weeks ago and since then I'm visibly bloated no matter how much I move and how healthy I eat. I hope studies in the future show this symptom and include some medical advice to enhance the gut!

@@daljitsrkg Man, I'm sorry! I got lucky and do not suffer from any other symptoms besides bloating. I hope you're feeling better very soon and in the mean time, take it slow, you'll get there eventually! You're body fought this freakin' virus and needs a bit more recovery time. I know it sucks so much, but it'll be over!🍀💪

from my personal experience: no big breaks in between meals.
ofc it's different for everyone, but maybe someone will find it relatable: every time I take a long break after the meal, no matter what I eat later, will make me bloated.
So now I try to not wait till I'm too hungry and it helps.
Another thing is eating a small spoon of honey with a warm tea.

Hello, this video is really helpful, thank you for all your tips! I recently found out that I have celiac disease, so obviously I can't eat gluten but I also try to eat healthier and your videos are a great inspiration for me. You are so positive and motivating! If I may, please, I would love to see some new breakfast ideas (gluten-free of course ;)), especially oatmeals! Thank you so much again, greetings to you and Robin.

Really informative video! I'd like to also add another external reason for constipation and bloating which is certain medication, such as opioid painkillers for example. This was an unpleasant discovery for me when recovering after a surgery

My personal suggestions: legumes won't cause bloating if you add a small piece of kombu algae to the cooking water; and against constipation, pears are the best. Thank you for your excellent and beautiful content, and for being such lovely and genuine persons 🧡

Maybe I should try that once, if I find combu at the store, I might try eating a small portion of legumes with it and see how it goes. After how sick I got last time I tried eating beans in relatively larger quantities I pretty much decided to never eat it again. And I also have tried in the past to eat it for l months in smaller quantities, without my body actually getting used to it and able to eat more. What does combu taste like?
