In this video, we're going to talk about how to stop bloating fast.
If bloating is a new issue for you, always look at what you changed in your diet or lifestyle around the time you started experiencing bloating.
Certain foods can cause bloating and digestive discomfort, including:
    • Junk food
    • Sugar alcohols (sweeteners)
    • Greens
    • Cruciferous vegetables
    • Dairy
    • Keto snacks
    • Fiber
Stress can also cause bloating due to high levels of cortisol, which causes inflammation in the gut.
Let's talk about the five causes of bloating in each of your primary digestive organs.
    1. Low stomach acidity
Your stomach needs to be highly acidic to break down nutrients and kill off microbes that may cause you to bloat. Signs of low stomach acidity include acid reflux, indigestion, and bloating.
    What to try:
    • Betaine hydrochloride
    • Apple cider vinegar
    2. Low bile in the gallbladder
Created by the liver and stored in the gallbladder, bile acts as a detergent to break down fat-soluble nutrients. Without enough bile, you may experience serious digestive discomfort and bloating.
    What to try:
    • Purified bile salts
    • Gallbladder acupressure massage
    3. Low enzyme levels in the pancreas
Enzymes are also important for breaking down nutrients and preventing bloating.
    What to try:
    • Enzyme-rich foods, like vegetables
    • Fermented foods
    4. Poor gut microbiome in the large intestine
When your gut microbiome isn't balanced, certain microbes may overpopulate and produce gas that leads to bloating.
    What to try:
    • Probiotics
    • Fermented foods
    5. SIBO
Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) is a condition where too much bacteria build up in your small intestine. These microbes can cause all sorts of problems, including bloating. While probiotics can be useful for a lack of gut microbes, if you have SIBO, you want to avoid probiotics and fiber.
    What to try:
    • Oregano
    • Garlic
    • Avoid fiber
    • Avoid probiotics
If you're not on a Healthy Keto and intermittent fasting plan, start there. In many cases, switching to a healthier diet can be the fastest way to get rid of excess bloating.

I would suggest that walking, walking enough steps a day is super important for digestion. 15/20 minutes walking after a meal helps too.

  • @boutifar5913
    @boutifar5913 2 года назад +2794

1-Very important to stand up after eating (walking is of course better), this is why I like to wash dishes after meal, it's like a routine to force me to stand up.
2- reduce coffee, you might think it helps because it accelerates digestion but it's just screwing the natural rythm of your digestion.
3- drink frequently during the day. Water is fundamental in the process of digesting.
4- chew a lot your food
(I did all those steps and it helps me a lot + I stopped cheese for dinner , since I'm French it was the most difficult part :)

I did try standing (doing dishes) and moving around some after eating helps a little too. Actually standing up straight is key. Slouching won't digest food well either.

@@worstfate First, I did an elimination diet (eliminate all dairy, wheat, sugar, etc.) and then added food groups one by one to see what caused issues. Dr. Berg's list on the right side of his board includes lots of what made me bloat. Everyone is different, but many of the foods I reacted to are on his list - excessive fiber, dairy, wheat, corn, etc. I discovered I needed more enzymes and acid in my stomach - Dr. Berg's Advanced Digestive Formula helped me immensely (contains betaine HCL and other excellent ingredients). I also took Dr. Berg's bile salt product, Gallbladder Formula, for a while and that helped too. Now, I just use them as needed. I make sure I monitor my eating habits and repeat the above if I start having problems again. But I've never had to go back to square one, so everything I'm doing is working for me. I wish you all success too. It's a lifelong practice with adjustments along the way!

I feel much better since quitting Sugar 2 Weeks ago. No more spikes. I do these massages and they really help even take bloating pressure from the heart and reduce palpitations. I went 66 years with chronic constipation and bloating so severely at times I couldn't get my breath. I've had an auto immune disease diagnosed at 58 which caused me to need CT scans twice a year for 8 years. I had complained to drs for years about the bloating and constipation and taken every drug out and otc out there. Finally at 66 an x-ray tech spotted the problem. I have a herniated diaphragm. Bockdalek hernia. It's flattened my right lung and my stomach and potions of intestine are in my diaphragm. After all these years and all the CT scans now the damage is beyond repair. It's caused end stage copd and the immune suppressant drugs for the other disease has caused too many issues to list. Just saying....dont always assume it's an easy issue to fix. Make sure it's not something serious before it's too late to fix.

This video made so much sense, I have been suspecting the fluid retention in my intestine for such a long time. I started to sound crazy to myself, the fact that I would go through severe headaches with my right should pain radiating to my neck. Then bloating that won't budge to the point of throwing up and the I have a bowel movement and all I would do is constant urination that didn't make sense. You have literally clarified alot of things for me🥺, I was getting no help anywhere and now I can finally make sure I don't have these episodes. From childhood to my 30s have been painful 🥺. Thank you so much

Have you done a video on the differences between soluble and insoluble fibre? I've recently started supplementing with acacia gum as well as increasing my soluble fibre intake and I feel much better already. Bloating is non-existent and gas is minimal compared to what I was dealing with before. Lumping all types of fibre into one category isn't too helpful I think.

I highly recommend fasting and cutting down on sugar. The only sugar I consume is with my coffee or tea. And reduce your caffeine intake. Just so you know , sugar has many names in label packaging like lactose , glucose , sorbitol , corn syrup , fructose , concentrated juices etc2. Stop all these and you’ll feel better! A lot of bloating is caused by the way people eat. They either take in too much air while eating. Or eat to fast. Relax. Chew. Enjoy. Try not to gulp or take in air whilst eating. It’s hard and needs practice.

B12 deficiency / pernicious anaemia is linked to stomach issues. GPs do not necessarily know about it. Ask for intrinsic factor antibodies test. Look up ‘diagnosing b12 deficiency ‘ on RUclips ( doctors and nurses explaining very well including failings of medical system to treat this common condition)

@@glorias4462 the intrinsic factor antibody test (for pernicious anaemia ) is only 50% accurate . For b12 deficiency the range is set too low . In U.K. about 280 depending on area . In other countries they treat anything under 500 .

Bloating for me has got worse the older I get. I went on a carnivore diet, because I suspected vegetables, especially raw ones, were causing my problems. This resolved everything. Contrary to the received wisdom, cutting out fibre was the big one. I used to eat lots of vegetables thinking it would help my digestion and couldn’t figure out why my “toilet habits” were worse the next day. Bread and pasta don’t help either.
