Copy of Dr Bergs notes for reference:
Certain foods cause bloating, like beans, fruit, sugar, and fiber-especially bran. But, what can you do if you’ve eliminated these types of foods and you still bloat? To get rid of bloating, you need to understand bile.
    Important functions of bile:
    1. It helps you absorb fat-soluble nutrients
    2. It helps eliminate excess cholesterol
    3. It has antimicrobial properties
You shouldn’t have many microbes in your small intestine, especially the microbes that make hydrogen and methane. High levels of these gasses lead to bloating. But, bile can help manage these microbes.
If you have bile deficiency, you could end up with undigested fat that accumulates in the small intestine. This can cause bloating because of excess fermentation.
Bile also helps lubricate the colon. This is why having a deficiency of bile can lead to constipation and why too much bile can cause diarrhea.
The best natural remedy for bloating is bile salts. Bile is essential for digestion and helps prevent bloating. If you have low bile, various health issues can occur, in addition to bloating.
    Symptoms of bile deficiency:
    • Hypothyroidism
    • Greasy stool
    • Floating stool
    • Not feeling satisfied after eating
    • Bloating
    • SIBO
    • Right-sided discomfort
    • High cholesterol
    • Gallstones
    • Deficiencies in fat-soluble vitamins
    • Omega-3 deficiency
    Causes of bile deficiency:
    • Having the gallbladder removed
    • Low-fat diets
    • Antibiotics
    • Diarrhea
    • Colon cleanses
    • High estrogen
    • High insulin
    • High cortisol
    • High omega-6 fatty acids
    • Fatty liver
What to do for bile deficiency and bloating:
    1. Consume enough fat in your diet
    2. Take probiotics or consume foods high in probiotics
    3. Do intermittent fasting
    4. Get on a low-carb diet
    5. Take bile salts
    Thank you Dr Berg,! 🐱👍🏿

This product literally change my life. I was suffering for stomach issues. Mainly bloating gas pain related to food. I had this issue almost 15 years, used almost all over-the-counter product including PPIs. Already had appointment with three GI specialists, one EGD, breath test , US, blood test etc, never found problem, or fix problem. Removing some diet, taking beano, gas ex have helped me little bit but not a whole lot. I remember my days when I used to wake up and walk in middle of night because of this problem.
I’m writing this review after using probably more than six months this medication, this is a game changer for me, I’m not doing so much diet restriction anymore. I did not want to announce victory to early so I waited for more than six months before I write this review. Highly recommending and must try if you already been to doctors and never solved your problem. And one thing I would like to say if you have digestive issues related to food, most likely any gi doctor is not going to fix your problem.
Before using this product, frequency of my stomach issue was average 1-2 times a week last for up to eight hours.
After using product for six month, maybe had two small episodes, much less serious last day much shorter probably 3 to 4 hrs. Last episode I had was around 4 months ago. Plus I’m eating almost everything without any significant dietary restrictions.
Thank you Dr. Berg , this one changed my life.

NOTHING CHANGED. It turns out I was just stressed and after meditating for 10 minutes, I was able to lose a LOT of water weight and was able to see my veins again closer to the end of the day today. This matches up to all the symptoms I'm having: bloating, slow digestion, plus my recent diagnosis of high LDL cholesterol, dry skin and hair loss. All I've got to do now is figure out what's actually causing my liver to not produce enough bile in the first place. I have m.e/cfs, so it could be linked to that, I just don't know. I've seen improvements by consuming homemade fermented foods like kefir and yoghurt as well as cold therapy and Wim Hoff breathing, which massages the intestines and stimulates the digestive system. Digestive enzymes are expensive!

12 years ago I was found to have Agenesis of the gall-bladder. My life has been an emotional roller coaster. I been miserable for a long time and I eat a lot and never feel satisfied...but if i eat to much I get so backed up that I'm even more miserable. I constantly have discomfort on my right side, as you mentioned, and it always feels little better to push on that area w/ my right hand while i sit down. This discomfort also seems to cause me to hold my breath and not breathe properly -- Gas will get backed up and causes my esophagus to burn -- I've got joint pain too. I never eat sugar cause if i do it causes ulcers and I'll have blood in my stool. I like to exercise but I keep injuring myself due to lack of nutrients. I eat really healthy(fish, rice, broccoli, carrots, potatoes, eggs). I've drank nothing but water for almost a decade. I'm 53 years old(male) and hanging on to 106lbs. Wish I could talk to you personally and ask for advice. I have been on disability for many years and have been really unhappy last several years due to my declining health. Dr Berg, thank you for sharing as usual. But i have a major problem, i don't think i suffer from bloating because bloating can be uncomfortable or maybe you have gas because of "some types of food" but in my case i think it's STOMACH DISTENSION instead. because my belly distends after every single meal. no mater how healthy it is. as long as i consume something it will show on my belly. even a glass of water, a small fruit or small portions of food. and please note, it does not feel uncomfortable or gassy at all. by the end of the day i look 8 months pregnant. i do intermittent fast, i do exercise. after giving birth to my pre term baby boy i noticed it got worse. my belly refuses to go down it's been a year post partum. I NEED HELP!!! please let me know if it's one of those things you are born with and no matter what you cut or do it is what it is? I recently discovered my bloating issues were stemming from a hiatal hernia. My ileocecal and houston valves were stuck open (and very tender). Massaging them to release the tension and working on getting my stomach out of my diaphram did wonders for my bloating (and metabolism). Diet, exercise and eating habits seemed like they did nothing to help. It's still a work in progress but I'm so grateful it's something I can resolve on my own without paying beaucoup to fix. Relief came fast.

Thank you, always for these road maps. This video especially which deals thoroughly with something I’ve put up with for 30 years. I honestly don’t know how I’m _still alive._ But with your content, there would be no doubt as to why. I’ve been following your advice and because of more fats, more bile, fewer meals, fasting and anti-pathogenic _herbs,_ I’m clearing out SIBO for the second time in my life. The first time, I didn’t know what it was, but now I do. So, thank you!

    • @francellew2073

How did you know you had SIBO? What kind of treatment did you get? Thanks.

    • @mekman4
      @mekman4 2 года назад +2

@@francellew2073 when I took supplements I produced a lot of biofilm (which would take the bloating with it). Most doctors I’ve seen told me there was _nothing wrong with me,_ when there clearly was (the bacteria was at its most obnoxious within their offices). I have no verification from doctors when I have a condition that they themselves _won’t_ and _didn’t take seriously._ My inner world was not competently assessed by whatever form of _expertise_ available to me. That and I still had to pay them, for nothing.
They provided no treatment and I had to take the matter into my own hands. I’ve dealt with it once before, but without a road map, so I found myself in a worse situation with bacterial overgrowth than the first time. I’m ridding myself of these biofilms today and I’m getting back to normal, currently.
Edit: I simply followed the Dr Berg’s advice. Keto, Fasting, Carnivore and supplements rid my body of this obnoxious overgrowth. Oh and the most important thing the Dr introduced me to, Bile salts. Nothing works without those. When I rid myself of the bacteria the first time, I was doing a form of keto, or basically low sugar (the Candida Diet) and certain kinds of vegetables, like Ginger (which stirs bile and kills bacteria), cayenne pepper and so on were priorities in the past.

I am taking Oregano, something to get rid of my biofilm (Dr. Berg may have suggested it in one of his videos) and digestive enzymes Z 3x daily . And the low FOD map diet. I was really strict taking everything (lots of pills ugh) and with the diet for 2 months. I felt amazing ! Now, I stopped the low Fodmap (as doc told me to) and so now I am getting bloated here and there with some foods- but it goes away! I didn’t have to do the antibiotics. I highly suggest trying a routine like that- but I would find a doc to give you the exact dosages/ plan to follow. Now I still need to figure out what was causing it if I can. That seems hard though. Don’t be scared - it’s slightly annoying for a bit but it’s so worth it. Best of luck! I will update if anything changes.

What about bloating due to a woman's menstrual cycle? This was not listed as a cause of bloating but surely is for many of your viewers. Would bile salts help?

I have all those symptoms of low bile. Been told it’s ibs. It seems I have food intolerances too. It’s just a minefield. 20 years plus of being bloated constipated etc. maybe I should try these bile salts

After my gallbladder was removed i was so bloated and constipated all the time so i did research, started taking bile salts plus magnesium oxide, don’t overdo the magnesium though, works to perfection!

I am more bloated than the woman in this picture 24/7. Many of us have bile issues because of SIBO and or MCAS/histamine intolerance. I believe I have all of the above so it gets very tricky to manage. Most foods trigger histamine release and bloating and especially fermented food. Unfortunately, my issues are still a mystery. Antihistamines, bile and other supplements are somewhat helpful, but I'm still extremely bloated. Fasting helps some, but doesn't take away the bloat more than 40% or so. Would love to hear from anyone who found out the cause of their bloating.

Bile salt is like a supplement. So it depends on your body. If you get bloated often then take it accordingly if not then don't take it.

Thank you so much for this information! I was having the right side pain of and on for a couple of months and then 4th of July weekend it got worst and ended up at the emergency room. I thought it was extreme constipation or something. They did a CT and said something about fatty liver cysts and protrusion on my “colon”. So I was told to take a mild laxative daily and get a colonoscopy and MRI and the MRI showed the fatty liver cysts and gallbladder sludge. I was told to eat less rice, no cheese/dairy and take miralax for 7 days and exercise oh and I do take a probiotic and my cholesterol meds went to 40mg and I haven’t had any pain since then, but I’m so glad I decided to watch this video which explained a lot and help me understand what’s going on - thank you Dr. Berg!

That's why Indian vegetarian food is good for vegetarians. It's a mix of good fats, vegetables, protein, spices that reduce bloating and help absorption into the body, proper digestion, oils like peanut, sesame , mustard, coconut that are low cholesterol good oils which help good bowel movement.

Thank you Dr. Berg! I had my gallbladder removed 8 years ago and suffer from occasional diarrhea and know I'm not absorbing all the nutrients I need to. The doctors told me that everything would go back to normal after I had it out and offered no advice or guidance on what to do. Thank you thank you! I now will start taking bile salts to see if that helps.

    • @Coopogers

But too many bile salts also causes diarrhea so be careful here. Show your doctor this and see what he says first.

    • @jonmccauley6490
      @jonmccauley6490 2 года назад

I'd say get another doctor. I was told the same lie when I had mine removed. I believe all doctors are forced to remove the gall bladder because it is a liability to them to try and go in and remove the stones. In addition, I believe those who have stones are likely to create more and be back in the hospital. With the diarrhea and cramping I've had over the last 14yrs, I would have rather had them remove the stones and risk having to go back!
