- Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps has been around since 1948, when it was founded by Emanuel Bronner, a third-generation soap maker who immigrated from Germany in 1929. Dr. Bronner’s soaps are all organic and sustainably sourced from fair trade facilities around the world before arriving to its factory in Vista, California. Bronner’s life mission was to promote his philosophy called the Moral ABC, which called for peace and unity over religious and ethnic differences. Bronner's philosophy is written in tiny text on all of his soap labels. The company says there are 18 ways you can use its liquid castile soap, including washing your face, body, hair, home, and even your teeth. Celebrities such as Zoë Kravitz, Lady Gaga, and Meghan Markle are rumored to be fans of Dr. Bronner’s soaps. Their most famous soap is the Peppermint Liquid Castile soap, which can cool the skin and clear sinuses.

How Dr. Bronner’s Soap Is Made | The Making Of Хобби
Started using this in 1970 at 17 years old, still a flower child from the 60’s. Happy user for 49 years.
Wow !
@cosmic They're both pretty nice. They are same. It is simply your preference on bar or liquid. The liquid does last longer tho.
Woow! I'm barely 2 year and I'm raising my shoulders here...
its not good for the environment
Ur skin must look amazing. I wish I had discovered this soap sooner, had no idea it's been around that long. My skin is so soft now and I have finally found something to control my acne. Nothing else works!
When I was pregnant with my twins the peppermint aroma helped with my nausea. Bath time was the only time I could relax and yes I loved reading the bottle. 🥰
Chavale Pierson that’s beautiful I’m sure he would be glad his soap helped so many
Hope your twins are doing great!
Chavale Pierson beautiful❤️
@Green Giant unlike being a vegan, it's a major ordeal, I don't blame them for shouting it from the heavens
danica webb : wow , another way it can be used ❤️
This soap is so strong, my feels skin tingling and clean, I feel like my sins have been washed away!!!
Tanya Little I feel like mine have been washed away too.
Lol yep
Amazing
especially the peppermint
Ummmmm its strong because you are supposed to dilute it. IT SAYS SO ON THE SIDE OF THE BOTTLE
Dr. Bronners bottle of soap is a good book to read while on the toilet 😂😂
What they write on it?
Eat a carrot
I don't understand all you people who have time to read on the toilet. If you need to sit that long, you are eating and drinking the wrong things. Eat less animal and refined foods. Eat more fiber and drink lots of water.
I read a little bit every time I shower lmao
It REALLY is! I've read it multiple times lol.
It's very rare to see a morally good company, good on them!
Ben & Jerry's ice cream is very similar. 10% of all proceeds go to charity and they always by as much as possible from the state of Vermont which is where they are home-based
Yeah, I just wish they were cheaper. I understand the price point, but like take Black African Soap for instance..that stuff is so good for every skin ailment and you can get it for so cheap! But I do love me some Dr.Bronner’s. I love every kind they make too! I think the lavender might be my favorite, but I love all of them. They make really great bath salts too. They should get into making Himalayan salt flakes! If you haven’t tried the flakes, they are even better than the salt! I forget why, but I do know my favorite bathes EVER we’re with the Himalayan flakes.
@@TheKatarinaGiselle .. Honestly it not that expensive if you really think about it, today's bars & Liquid soaps are Full of Chemicals, Toxic which causes issues, also it dissolves so quickly you use more of it, where with Bronner soap, healthier it's Organic, definitely use less of it so it lasts longer, as a Cancer Survivor I can appreciate the Value.
Disagree
@@TheKatarinaGiselle I'm sorry, you can't put a price tag on a GOOD BUSINESS MODEL, but you don't seem to have any problems shopping at Wal-Mart where the only ones bathing in wealth are the corporate executives. It's about time we all take capitalism back to the middle class, and wishing it was "cheaper" won't solve this problems... perhaps one bar of soap at a time?
the fact they’re doing everything with good deeds i mean getting all the ingredients from good farms where they’re being payed fairly and then donating and helping causes. this is a company that needs to open others company’s eyes.
You're right. It is also one reason why they are still doing well.
You should read up on the Ben and Jerry's ice cream story!
Lol most corporate America does that for marketing purpose. But their soap they make us not a great soap. Horrific actually.
@@KittenBowl1 whos American corporations or the dr soap thing?
There burning down rain forests to plant the plants to make it
Fantastic soap. I have a highly allergic dog who cannot use dog shampoo, even prescription 60 dollars a bottle ones, but he uses Dr Bronner’s soap with no issues whatsoever
Wow. Poor doggo. What breed is he?
Júlia Kercsmár Chinese Shar-Pei, they are notorious for their allergies. Took me trying quite a lot of dog shampoos to find that bronners is the best for him. I dilute it in some water and it works great, been using it 9 years on him.
I use the soap for practically everything.. From my face, hair and body to even cleaning my makeup brushes and sponges
@@admenocal don't use the Bronner soap that has tea tree oil in! Tea tree oil is toxic for pets!
@@kats.5958 It's only toxic if you use it in its pure form on pets. If you dilute it properly it is pretty safe, and this soap specifically is all about the dilution. The person also said they've been using this on their dog for 9 years so the soap itself is obviously not toxic.
This company better stay in the family & not become corrupt. I love that they pay fair & support good causes.

Agree, so many ethical and great brands have sold out to big companies like P&G, Unilever etc and have gotten their ingredients ruined, hopefully dr bronners stays the way it is now
Walmart has basically stayed in the family and look at them

The story behind the label 😭 we need this peace to spread!
Nobody seems to have mentioned it but this soap has a great reputation in the outdoors community as biodegradable (though you still need to dispose away from water). It’s the go to soap for backpackers, campers etc.
👍👍
I’m glad to see that Bronner’s family still run the company. He sounds like a remarkable man.
The Peppermint soap is a stronger wake up than anything else. That tingle is amazing
I've been using this soap since I was 17 i got it as a gift from my best friend and I always splurge on it . Its expensive but worth it
And most importantly its cruelty free.
I agree Kristin! My dream come true is to get the 50$ bottle.
@@M2345M exactly especially because you can dilute it and get 3 or more bottles from 1 depending on the strength you like.
They sell them at Costco for cheap.
@@Mysonismybestfriend I think a gallon is like 50$ but it's been a couple years since I looked at the site. I hope it's cheaper now
"Triple-milled" does not mean that it's ground three times. It means (or is supposed to mean) that it passes through three sets of rollers that bear down on the bar and get as much air out of it as possible. That is why triple-milled soap lasts much longer than ordinary soap: it doesn't have as much air in it. Compare that with Ivory Soap: "It Floats." Well, it floats because it's got air in it, and because of that it doesn't last very long.
I wondered about that language I use to make soap and being milled meant melting it more than once it can get pretty ugly and dry being milled more than once. Anna In Ohio.
Ivory: "To increase profit, we puff up our product with air."
Don Draper: "So pure, it floats."
It has to be milled like that to completely get the added scent and benefit oils in. Air isn't a part of any real soap, unless a bubble or two got trapped. Milling can actually introduce more air when a bar is formed if it's not done right.
@@buckeyedav1 The base soap they make doesn't harden up immediately. They have the time to break it up, mix it up with the added oils, and then form it into bars. The final hardening is helped by the pressure (and heat?) of forming the bars, and once it's packaged it will eventually reach it's full hardness.
Nothing is melted. Milling soap should not be about melting soap.
that explains it.
my favorite scent is definetly almond! if you love the smell of almond extract or maraschino cherries you’ll love the scent!
Thanks for the recommendation on that fragrance, I have always used the peppermint, will now try almond.......
Buying this...
I recently bought Dr. Bronner's for the first time and got the almond bar soap (green packaging). Huge fan of the soap. It smells nice, but not too overpowering, gets me clean and isn't too drying. Do you dilute the soap with water first before apply to your hair (i.e. mix half and half in another bottle), or do you just use directly from the Dr Bronners bottle?

Me too! Good stuff.
Ditto!
My favorite too. It's good for washing your face, non drying and clears acne, as a hand and foot soap. It deodorizes and sanitizes. Good stuff.
Can you share more about African black soap? And what does that do??
Fun fact, this soap works just as well as dish soap for breaking through my oil paints without damaging bristles.
ty I thought I'd never find soap that will break through paint. I've used cleansing oil and had worked though. I'd give this one a try.
Ooo good to know!
THANK YOU! i had no idea this was an application and ive got a lot of brushes that ice been reluctant to part with because I couldn't get them clean enough
Their soap is not meant for skin other than extremely oily skin. It’s way too harsh which is a problem. We call their soap, soap that is only good for making organic pesticide. It’s a horrible soap for skin.
No joke! I've been an oil painter for years and i can literally leave brushes in this soap with water overnight and they are clean clean. I dont even have to do anything but drop them in.

Why is everytime somebody says something smart they get thrown into jail or mental institution?
Its worth reading the history to know why. After his wife died he started to give speeches about "uniting spaceship earth" and even send his 3 children to an orphanage to do this full time. Later he got arrested after one of his speeches and his sister advised him to go to a mental institution to get help because his behavior wasn't normal.... the rest you already know.
It's also worth noting that he ran his company as a religious organization to avoid paying taxes but he was busted by the government and had to pay 1.3 million back in taxes.

I have no other choice but to STAN
I’m so mad I just discovered this a year ago lol. It’s amazing.

Lavender and almond are my all time favorite. The peppermint is a good bug repellent when mixed with water for your plants and garden!
Love Dr.Bronner’s soap. I shampoo my hair with the tea tree daily. My scalp always feels great. I also wash my beard weekly with it.I would definitely give it a try. Buy one and use half then fill the rest back with water. It lasts awhile.
I love the peppermint...I’ve been using it for 4-5 years. Love it!
I just bought a 32 oz bottle of peppermint for the first time ever last week and so far I have washed myself with it, scrubbed my bathroom and kitchen with it, used it in my laundry, washed my dishes AND today I scrubbed my carpets with it! I can’t wait to try the other scents. Good stuff! I AM gonna try to brush my teeth with it soon. There’s a ton of uses for this stuff!
I feel sooo relaxed after using the hemp peppermint one feels sooo good
Been using for over a decade. Can’t recommend it enough.
I've been using this soap for about 3 to 4 decades. Peppermint is the only soap I use for hand washables they smell fresh and are unharmed. I use it for body wash...tea tree for pre-shampoo and rose, orange and lavender for body wash. I dilute with water and refill my hand soap dispensers. Haven't tried it to wash dishes....will try that. I love this soap....
Just used it this morning, I love the peppermint smell and it makes my skin tingle. I feel so clean 🥴❤️😅
I love this soap! I came across it in a very strange way, read the bottle and had to get more! And now years later I've come across this video and I love it even more :)
May I ask what strange way you found it in?
